It was that time of the month again for Leo’s annual meet-up with Tangela the nymph. Once a month they’d get together and Leo would convince Tangela to tell him any gossip that had been going around the camp, he wanted to make sure he knew of any fights or arguments that were happening. These could lead to people doubting their place at camp and Leo could potentially get some credit from Audrey if he filled her in on this, if she wasn’t already aware. Besides it gave him something to do for a little while and got him out of his cabin or away from the training grounds for an hour or two.

He had been making his way down to the lake for a little while now and was close to Tangela’s tree, he had memorised where it was and usually came from the behind to make sure people didn’t see him as he would rather not have questions aimed his way but today he was coming from the edge of the lake. ”Tan, you better be around…” Leo called out as he reached the proximity of the tree, taking a glance around. He wasn’t one to be kept waiting and especially not by a nymph.

Tangela was watching Leo approach, a soft giggle erupting when he drew closer. She liked that crazy little Demi-God with his angry ways and charming broodiness! He was a lot of fun. She appeared not long after he arrived, barely giving him any time to doubt her. "Awe, you think I'd stand you up? You should know better by now, Leonardo. Tell me, what's new on your end?" as always, Tan always wanted to get right back into the grit of things. She didn't like wasting time, and neither did Leo.

She moved toward him, lifting her hands to play at her hair as she waited for a response from her dear, dear friend.

Finally the nymph appeared and put Leo’s doubts to rest, ”I wasn’t thinking that. I was thinking what I’d do if you had done.” Leo replied in a slight mumble, narrowing his eyes as if he was giving a warning but he kept it playful. What good would hurting his little ‘eyes and ears’ do? If anything it’d just be bad and would mean that Leo would actually have to start listening to the Aphrodite cabin gossiping and he hated that cabin. ”Absolutely nothing, sadly. You know I’m not too good at finding out ‘gossip’. That’s your job, Tangela.” Leo continued on to the nymph with a small smile appearing at the edge of his lips. He tried to hide the smile as much as he could but failed until he reminded himself that this wasn’t a friendly meet up and the smile was quick to disappear.

Tan raised her eyebrows in feign surprise as he someone subtly and not so subtly threatened her. She chuckled and dropped the eyebrows, giving a gentle little shrug as she took another step toward him. "Awe, sadly the world is a little too peaceful at the moment. Granted, a recent hunter turned jackalope has become human once again and his getting rather close to Theo Dean... but that's nothing too exciting. Hmm..." she tried to contemplate what else was interesting enough.

"Dakota, Aphrodite girl, recently broke things off with Dash due to his unwise choice to say I love you. Honestly, the gossip generating around this week is all emotional. But-" her eyes brightened "but this leave the lovely cabin leader of Aphrodite rather vulnerable."

The girl had laughed after he had just threatened her. Nymphs made no sense at all to Leo and he wasn’t sure if it made him more interested or if it made him hate it. Leo took a quick glance down to the distance between the pair of them as she stepped forward. ”Hm…Interesting.” The recent transformation may have made the person vulnerable, especially the getting close to Theo Dean. Emotions are a vulnerability.

Again with more gossip to do with love, proving further that love was in fact, bad. ”Amateur move.” He said with a small laugh, admittedly it amused him that he dropped the L bomb too soon and that ruined things when Leo never dropped it in his life. He was always gone before it got to a stage where it could have been considered. ”Very vulnerable… Thank you for your work as always, Tangela.” Leo continued on from her with a nod, looking over his shoulder slightly. ”You did good. I suppose.”

Tangela chuckled as he called out the 'amateur move' She couldn't agree more, really. She thought love was cute and silly but it was definitely not something that she thought was very wise. Especially when you wanted to protect yourself from danger. She wasn't surprised that he wasn't too incredibly impressed with her news for the day. Still, he had said thank you and she smiled. "Any time. I will try to get something more interesting, but it seems like people are trying to stay off the radar," he growled slightly. "I'd say follow the lead on the hunter. I mean, she was turned into a freaking jackalope!" she chuckled loudly and slowly started blending herself back into her tree. "Until next time!"

Leo gave a small nod, adjusting his hoodie before watching the Nymph. ”I’m sure you’ll find something somewhere…” He replied to her with his fingers tapping his leg through his pockets. ”I’ll see what I can do.” Leo wasn’t sure if he’d pursue the lead but it was worth looking into it even a little. It may provide him with some weak spots for the hunter for when it comes to a battle, Leo could try to manipulate her. ”Next time.” He confirmed to Tangela as she began blending into the tree, it had always confused him and creeped him out how she did that. Surely it’d be uncomfortable? She’s literally becoming a tree and bark isn’t comfortable.

(Sure haha! A thread of this could be more in depth if a plot comes up, like the Romans. )
