Weaknesses-- Easily back stabbed, he's surprisingly sensitive, which kind of a nuisance, because people don't think twice when insulting a child of Duellona's. The aspect of his mother's personality that reflects in himself, such as his unforgiving and wrathful nature. Can't resist getting in the middle of any sort of fight, verbal or physical, it's just too epic to let go of the opportunity.A tad bit rash for his own good sometimes, and CIPA Fatal Flaw-- Envy/Jealousy Fears-- Jean is stubborn when it comes to it, something that can easily get you smite when dealing with a god. He doesn’t like taking no for an answer, especially when he knows that what he wants is for the better. He can be adamant and demanding about things, whether joking with someone or being completely serious. Losing control, burning alive, becoming his father. Blizzards; After what happened in the car accident, Jean isn't particularly fond of snowstorms, they freak him out as he worries he'll freeze to death and won't notice it because of his CIPA. Preferred Weapon-- An imperial gold rapier named; d'Arc Cohort-- 1st Cohort Allegiance-- Roman Personality-- Jean is calm, cool, and collected, constantly maintaining an aura of stoicism and fearlessness. Jean seems to care little for the well-being of those around him, and is unflinching in his pursuit of power; however, in spite of his cold and ruthless demeanor, he is an honorable warrior, who maintains his own set of morals and disciplines in battle, he despises fighting dirty and cheap tactics, as he dominates the battle, he is seen smiling the entire time. This straightforward, brute-force approach can also be seen when he tries to help close friends. Though Jean is far more serious and aggressive in battle. He seems to enjoy both testing and taunting others and has very little patience for the legion he works with, often abandoning them, leaving their fate at the monsters hands. He appears to always be one step ahead of his cohort, knowing more about the legion's own past than others, and taunting them for it. He is incredibly rash, a trait he has carried for years, Though does follow the legions orders without questioning it, choosing simply to go along with what they say. Though Jean denies it, he yearns for praise, and he eventually he keeps going to gain the approval and praise of others, as well as the love of his father. Further demonstrating his perceived need to move forward. A tad bit introvert at times, Jean has a hidden touch of vulnerability to him as shows a great fear of emotional pain and of being hated or left behind, due to his abandoned in his youth and, subsequently, blaming himself for not being good enough to keep him in his father’s good graces. He appears to be haunted by his seven-year old self, and the memory of crying over his grandfather's death, symbolizing his desire to escape his own past and be saved. In general, Jean is shown to be introverted due to having little to no meaningful contact with others. In social party situations, he is shown to be quite uncomfortable, and he often has difficulty controlling his emotions around others. He is shown to the extreme of this, forsaking many lives (even his own) to save one person. Due to Jean’s fragile emotional state, he chooses to shut out the world at times, as shown by the headphones he wears rather often, plugged into an old iPod. Through all this, Jean is also aware of his own faults, and generally is outwardly gentle and compassionate when he tries. He tries to find a reason to fight, and sometimes his justification for fleeing is to avoid hurting others. He also seems to enjoy making puns and has a dry sense of humor, which he admit is a bad habit he gained from his Grandfather. Godly Parent-- Duellona: Goddess of War, Destruction, and Devastation - Roman Family-- Jacques Louis de'Romée, fifty two, 'father' - current head of the Romée family. Stéphane Louis de'Romée, seventy three, late-grandfather and former head of the Romée family. Pets-- Saltwater fish tank Hometown-- Domrémy-la-Pucelle, France - Birthplace History-- Jeanne Louis de'Romée is the demigod son of the Roman Goddess Duellona and the mortal Jacques Louis Romée, Jean came from a wealthy family in England, living with his father and grandfather. As a child, Jean was impatient and unintentionally violent, though this was attributed to his lack of the sense of feeling. This, given the fact that the boy was born with Congenital insensitivity to pain (or CIPA). Due to his affliction, he could never play with other kids because he didn't know what pain felt like to others, shrugging off any injuries he got, and being confused when other children reacted to their own injuries. When Jean found out how he was acting around others, he was seen as an embarrassment, and he didn’t want to deal with the child and thus sent him off to his grandfather. Jean was raised by his grandfather to be a proper gentlemen, to be stern yet caring and in a way fix the damage that he had imprinted on his own son years prior. Though, this brief happiness couldn’t last as within a few years a car accident would strip Jean of his grandfather.. Jean would have died if not for his grandfather protecting him, keeping the boy warm in the winter storm. A year or so later, while still very young, he was abandoned by his father yet again but this time he was sent away to live with his the wolves. The wolf house became another home for the boy to train under the other of Roma, combat came easy as he had too fencing while under his grandfathers care and being a child of a war goddess had it’s perks as well.. Though, he was far too young to join the Roman legion and his father wouldn’t dare take him back till he could prove himself in the legion he grew up in. And thus with his ties Jean had been essentially locked up and isolated from everyone else in New Roma. Due to his father pulling a few stings, being that he was a kin to Minerva making the young Jean a legacy to her, it was easy for him to use the camp as he had almost as much power as he had in the mortal world. However, he was given all the care he needed within the room that he was given. Years till he could join into the legion, he lived alone in his own little house, with a bedroom and a connected bathroom, daily meals, and a housekeeper were all provided, but no one ever aided him whenever he was sad and lonely. It was shown that in the beginning of his isolation, he would cry and get himself hurt due to his panic and fear. However, he eventually got used to being alone, and ended up with the thought that he wasn't the same as others, and that whether he lived or died didn't matter since he was different. His grandfather’s words echoed in his head to help him maintain some sanity, saying that he was "a strong boy", but it was alright if he needed to cry, that it was okay to get lonely and it was alright to 'feel'. However, the young Jean protested against. From the day he joined the legion on, Jean promised himself that he would never show weakness again. This causes him to repress a great deal of emotions, not to mention the emotional scarring that came from his grandfather’s and father abandoning him at a young age, leaving him twisted and vulnerable.
