Jen bounced her way happily along the streets of New Rome enjoying the jingle of coins in her pocket and looking in the windows of stores as she passed. She had just come from the barracks of Camp Jupiter where she had accidentally stumbled across a few new recruits gambling over a game of dice in their off time. Having never been one to turn down a game of chance when she had the opportunity to play Jen had joined them and then politely introduced them to what it was like gambling against a daughter of Fortuna.
She was sure they would probably be upset when they discovered who she was. Jen didn’t cheat but luck was sort of her thing and judging by past experiences people sometimes saw her parentage as a slight advantage but that was a chance she was willing to take. To be ‘fair’ she had dropped off most of the winnings at Fortuna’s temple for the next lucky person who stopped by to give her mom an offering. When they did they would find a nice little bonus for their troubles and Jen thought that would be how mom wanted it. Still, she didn’t think dear old momsie would begrudge her a little shopping trip like she was going on now especially since the money was fairly won.
Jen had just looked in another window and was about to move down the street when something caught her eye that brought her to a halt. "Oh that's nice." She said to herself as she stared wide eyed at the incredible pair of red high heels on display that were obviously some fine Minerva work and were they on sell? Why yes they were. "Oh I think you'll will do very nicely." She grinned to herself already thinking how those shoes were meant for her and began to make her way inside the shop. "To bad everyone can't be as lucky as me..."
