It was true that Dakota couldn't get the idea out of her head since Ash put it in there. She was so worried about why he was here unannounced and their hunger took over. They really didn't have time for a true celebration between the two of them. Yes, their families and friends had to find out eventually, but for now, it was just the two of them.
Dakota chuckled to herself as she caught the look in Ash's eyes. She got up from her seat and walked over to him as she sat in his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Is this better?" she asked as she leaned in closer to him.

Dakota had the right idea and as she came over to him he watched her wondering if she really knew the effect she still had on him. This was what he had always wanted, him, her, together. Gods and monsters, wars and battles, she had always been the prize at the end of it all and as he wrapped his arms around her to support her and pull her that much closer he realized that this was really not the end. In fact, it was just the beginning.
"Much better." He said as he pulled her into a long kiss. He did love her, had always loved her and now he was going to love her like he never had before. As they kissed Ash scooped her up into his very capable arms and picked her up from the chair he had been sitting in. He broke away from her and smiled down at her open, honest and happy to have her. He was carrying her bridal style now and he liked looking at her like this. "Suppose we better get some practice at this right?" and with that he carried his fiancée towards the bedroom so that their true celebration could begin.
