Accalia was training, like she did every morning from eight to ten. She hadn't always been so dead set on learning how to fight, but the past few years had turned that completely on it's head. She was already a good archer, but she had started working in swords and double axe wielding as well and she was getting rather good at it. After years of living as a coward, gentle, a pacifist etc. she had finally taken it into her own hands to no longer be the damsel in distress.
At the current moment she was working with the double axes and had been for an hour already. Beads of sweat were trickling down her forehead as she hacked away at the dummy, dodging it's programmed evasive maneuvers and not allowing herself to take a break.

Tanya hit the ground in an undignified manner, the impact knocking the air out of her lungs. The sparing dummy stood before her, preparing to swing. The daughter of Athena managed to bring her shield up in time to block the blow. She grunted, the force of the impact jarring her arm. Sadly for her, the sparing dummy grasped her shield, flinging it away. Tanya found herself disarmed, looking up at her victorious sparing partner. It aimed the blade at her throat, lowering it after a brief moment before stepping away. She wiped the sweat from her brow, most of her fights tended to go in this manner. She never really stood much of a chance, the dummy launching a series of aggressive assaults against her, battering her defences without pity, remorse or tiring in even the slightest.
With a heavy sigh, the short red head pushed herself to her feet, recovering her scattered gear from where it lay upon the ground. She turned over to watch another demigod, one who had been here before she arrived. Accalia seemed to be far better at fighting than she. She was able to fight her dummy with what almost appeared to be contemptuous ease.

Accalia finally managed to behead the thing and slowed her movements to a stop before dropping the axes on the ground. She stretched her neck and turned around, catching Tanyas eye who was not far and watching her. Accalia raised an eyebrow, "you look tired," she called out to the girl. She had seen Tanya sparring not far away, but of course didn't pay much attention. She had her own dummy to worry about. "How'd it go?" she asked the girl, bending down to retrieve her axes once more but stepping away from the dummy. She didn't want it to reactivate while she wasn't ready. However, that probably would have made for some good practice...

She nodded in weary agreement. "I am." Tanya answered honestly, feeling for all the world to be in the verge of collapse. She sighed explosively shaking her head in the initial answer to Accalia's question. Terrible would not of been an inappropriate word to describe how the fight had gone. "Poorly." Tanya eventually settled on a choice of word to describe how her fight went. "I made a rather poor show of it unfortunately." The red head seemed to lack the natural skill with in combat that came to most demigods. She was ineffective in battle to say the least, that is if she remained around long enough to actual fight in battle. Usually Tanya's first plan was to bolt, after all she who fights and runs away lives to fight another day right? Though of course there was all of the shame, loss of honour etc.

Accalia frowned as the girl explained how the fight had gone poorly, shaking her head. She nodded while listening to Tanya say she made a rather poor show of it. "Well," Accalia started.... but then she paused and considered the situation. She always had been that person back in the day. The one whose fighting went poorly, the one who let people walk by her without asking for help, the one who barely lifted a finger. She sighed, taking a step forward, "I could give you a few pointers, if you'd like. It's better to be prepared than to be slaughtered," she realized how dark that sounded and cleared her throat. "I mean I'm willing to help."
