FREESTYLE APPLICATION Annasophia Robb - Seventeen – Camp Jupiter - Heterosexual - Single Dream Weaver Even from a young age Tawny knew that she wasn't just your ordinary kid. She was a legacy of Mercury on her mother's side and because of this demigod stuff was always kind of a part of her life. Her mom had always been pretty up front with her that her father was Somnia too so that wasn’t even a mystery to her. As such it was always kind of assumed that the gods had plans for her in some way or the other so when it was discovered that she had power over dreams, both hers and others, it was something she came to accept early. There were worse demigod powers to be saddled with than dream manipulation and unsurprisingly Tawny found she was pretty good at it too. She had always been a fairly lucid dreamer but being a dream weaver of sorts had it perks. Tawny was able to travel into the dreams of others, see their inner thoughts and fantasies and even communicate to others in their dreams. It was actually kind of fun and Tawny got a lot of practice even when she wasn't exactly supposed to until she got so good that she could get into others' dreams without them knowing it which wasn't always a good thing for a young girl just having fun. Eventually her mom put a stop to it, most of it anyways. Tawny still kept her mischievous streak and enjoyed playing with people's dreams when she could but for the most part she learned to stay out of people's heads without their permission. Still, she learned to control her powers early which would only benefit her later in life. Living in a Dream For Tawny life was always something of her blur. Her mother, Shea Mitchell, became a professional snowboarder after her time with the legion and it was this and a fairly accomplished one at that participating in the X Games and even remaining at the top of class for some time. It shouldn't have been much surprise that a child of Mercury grew up to be an adrenaline junkie but this was the life that Tawny was born into and to say it rubbed off on her would be a bit of an understatement. Tawny grew up with a love for all kinds of extreme sports and she became kind of an adrenaline junkie herself. Life traveling around with her mom in the early years gave her plenty of opportunity to try just about everything and once the pair had settled down in Santa Monica, CA she got to experience even more. She's never met a board she didn't like and it was here that she found her true passion in skateboarding. Far away from the icy slopes her mother cut her teeth on it was the closest thing Tawny could find and it was exactly what she needed. Tawny had always been kind of tomboyish in nature and her mischievous streak kept her in trouble more often than not. In skateboarding though she found a place to express herself, get her fill of excitement and even scratch the competitive itch she had gotten from her mom. All in all it was the perfect solution and in Santa Monica Tawny found her place. It was here she stayed until she taken to be trained by Lupa. Dream On Her training wasn't really unexpected. Tawny's mom had been pretty up front that eventually the gods would call on the girl and it gave her plenty of time to toughen up. Granted she already had a fighter’s spirit but Romans were always pretty serious about their traditions. Eventually though Tawny did make it to New Rome to join the legion. That was a unique experience in itself and involved a pretty big adjustment period but eventually she found her place. Thankfully she already had a few credentials to speak of and found herself being placed in the third cohort which wasn't so bad. She wasn't really the type who was all into the glory and honor stuff and the third was pretty chill without being crazy. As it turned out it was pretty much the perfect place for her and after she had gotten use to the legion's rules and traditions she didn't find them to be that grating. Besides, New Rome itself was an experience that she didn't mind partaking in. Conveniently enough Roman architecture was pretty awesome to do tricks off of and the city was big enough that it felt like her own personal skate park. Of course some senators and citizens don't always agree with her on that but for the most part she can avoid them. In any case the new life as a Roman demigod didn't turn out to be that bad for her at all and she's been there ever since. Don’t Mess With Dr. Dream Not everything has been all sunshine and roses since Tawny showed her face around Camp Jupiter however. As it turned out Somnia had bigger plans for his daughter than anyone expected or that Tawny herself has even admitted. Not long after she showed up at camp Tawny began getting strange dream messages from her father. She had never actually met her father but that apparently didn't matter because he had a mission for her whether she liked it or not. Dreams just happened to be the easiest way for them to communicate without causing too much of a fuss. Somnia informed Tawny that all wasn't well in his realm. Someone or something had stolen several items of power that were important to the god and he needed them back. Unfortunately Somnia couldn't go after the artifacts himself without letting others know that he was vulnerable. The meant that the task fell to his daughter who would be able to operate freely in locating and securing the stolen property. There was only one problem though. Tawny couldn't put on a public search without drawing attention to the problem at hand and without much help from dear old dad she was left pretty much to her own devices. What was a girl to do with a mission from the gods and no way to fulfill it? Tawny didn't have much of a choice. She couldn't just leave camp and her duties behind so she did the only thing she could do and began investigating on her own waiting until she could find some clue as to what she should be doing. Unfortunately this hasn't yielded any results yet. That was fine until recently but lately the dream messages from her dad have been becoming more urgent. She isn't sure what changed but something is obviously wrong. Tawny just wishes she could find out what. name; ooc name time zone; PST, GMT, etc
