The Hermes cabin was the loudest cabin in camp, as far as Alissa could tell. This was because they also took in all the unclaimed campers as well as actual children of Hermes. She had grown used to it after two years, but that didn’t mean it never irked her. Alissa woke up to the sound of an impromptu pillow fight. She looked at the clock—it was almost time for breakfast, anyways, so she got up, washed her face, and got dressed in her camp shirt and jean shorts.
Captain Price was chittering nervously. “Oh, shush,” Alissa chided as she lowed a small bowl of his food into the cage, “You’re fine.” The hedgehog started eating, and Alissa sat down on her bed. There was still time before breakfast, but not enough to go back to bed.

Another day. Another morning in the Hermes cabin. And another day where Kevin was woken up because one of his younger siblings decided to start a pillow fight. The cabin really had became more chaotic since their cabin leader left and Chiron hadn't appointed a new cabin leader yet in the meantime. Of course, the idea of him becoming cabin leader crossed Kevin's mind a few times, but he had enough on his plate just being a counselor. And of course, now was one of those moments that fell under his counselor abilities. He picked his head off of the pillow as he barked at his siblings and the unclaimed campers. That seemed to be enough of a scare for them that they settled down and started getting ready for breakfast. Now that Kevin was awake, he might as well get ready himself.
He reluctantly pulled himself out of bed as he quickly changed into his usual camp clothes. He ran his fingers through his hair as he looked around the cabin. A lot more orderly than before. He glanced over to the side to see one of his younger siblings and her pet hedgehog. "Morning Alissa. Morning Captain Prince."

Alissa jumped when her older half-brother yelled at the younger kids. Fortunately, they settled down and started getting ready for breakfast. There was a reason the Hermes cabin always did so much--so the kids would be tired by curfew. It worked, but they usually had that energy back by about six in the morning. It wouldn't have been as bad if it had been only one or two or even five perpetrators, but the sheer volume made it so much worse. The Hermes cabin was no bigger than an average, run-of-the-mill summer camp cabin, but it had twice as many campers. It wasn't the best arrangement in the world, but you got used to it after a while.
Alissa looked over at Kevin, who had just greeted her. "Hey, Kevin," She said. After a pause, she added, "And it's Price. As in money...synonym for 'cost'...no 'n'."

“Prince. Price.” Kevin waved of his error with a twirl of his hand. He tried to keep up with the names of everyone who occupied his cabin and if he messed up a name? It was no sweat off of his back. Besides, it led to some pretty interesting nicknames. But with how his sister was acting, he wasn't sure if the little hedgehog would get a nickname itself.
“Are you and the cap’n ready for the day? It looks like we have the rock climbing wall and arena training on the schedule today as long as we stay on Chiron's good side.” It wasn't uncommon for their scheduled to get rearranged because they got in trouble and needed to do whatever punishment Chiron decided on.
(tag @fin ... we still doing this?)
