Toys, snacks, even other people. When she doesn’t have control of the things she wants then bad things start to happen. fears-- Being alone Not getting to work in the voodoo shop again That camp won't be any fun preferred weapon-- Knives / daggers cabin/cohort-- Eris allegiance-- Greek personality-- Maddie was raised under very strange circumstances. Not only was she left on the doorstep of a voodoo shop in New Orleans but having been raised by a voodoo king in the swamps of Louisiana she has been exposed to some rather strange things for someone her age. This has caused Maddie to develop some very odd mannerisms. She may seem like a normal child from a distance but it doesn't take more than a few moments to tell that Mads is a very odd duck. She has a bad habit of fixating on certain people and can act very possessive of them. She might try and force them into playing with her or you might unexpectedly wake up to find her watching you sleep. You know, normal creeper stuff. Usually she is harmless…mostly…sometimes but she can take things too far and tends to do so if you let her. Most of the time she just gives people the creeps with her very dry sense of humor and grim outlook on life. This among other things tend to make people shy away from her but every once in a while she will convince some gullible new sap to be her new playmate for the foreseeable future. godly parent-- Eris family-- Dr. Frocta Delcroix - caregiver / adoptive father - forty-seven pets-- Mr. Clops - The satyr guide that brought her to camp. He likes to think that he is his own but Mads knows better and is constantly tracking him down to play with her. hometown-- New Orleans, LA history-- The child of mystery Not much is known about the circumstances of Maddie’s birth. She never knew her real father having been very literally left on the doorstep of a voodoo shop in New Orleans when she was a baby. The owner of the shop was a prominent voodoo king in the area going by the name Dr. Frocta Delcroix and when he discovered the child he took an interest in the fact that bad luck and trouble seemed to follow her. Indeed she seemed to be a living hoodoo curse and instead of tossing the child out he took her in and raised her as his own. Bad voodoo Stuck in the swamps of Louisiana one would think that would limit a child's opportunities to get in trouble and for a while that was almost true however as is often the case with children of Eris things got worse as Maddie got older. Being an unlucky trouble making jinx might not have been such a bad thing for a voodoo king but soon that trouble making got to be more than the good doctor could handle. Fortunately for him one day while she was out gathering supplies in the swamp for Dr. Frocta’s shop Maddie was attacked by a harpy. Amused by the strange bird lady the girl would have likely been killed save for a lost satyr stumbling across her and coming to her rescue. Realizing that the girl was an unclaimed demigod the satyr decided to bring Maddie back to camp. Much to his dismay somewhere along the way Mads claimed him as her personal pet giving him the name Mr. Clops which is the only name she as ever acknowledges for him. The maid of constant sorrow Maddie made her way to camp with her new pet in tow only to find that this place of demigods was a new playground with lots of new people to be her forced playmates. She was eventually claimed by Eris and the reason for that chaos that seemed to follow her was finally revealed in that she was a daughter of the goddess of discord and strife. All of a sudden she found herself with new brothers and sisters to play with, a new family that she never had before. It was a new experience and gave her so many interesting opportunities to have fun. Granted she still misses her old life but for now she is happy with her new playground and is determined to enjoy herself with all of her new toys even if they don’t know it yet.
