Something to think about? It was definitely something to think about especially since Kaylee was legitimately thinking about taking him up on his offer. She'd never played guitar before and she thought it would be fun. She nodded her head to the idea. It would be fun to learn something new, especially if it meant she got to hang out with Timber all of the time.

And speaking of Timber, Kaylee was kind of hoping that the dog would listen to her. It was a very simple command, but she saw the look of contemplation in his eyes as he looked over at Drake. If this was Buddy, he would immediately sit down just because there were treats involved. It took a moment, but the dog eventually sat down and that caused Kaylee to smile widely. "Oh what a good boy," she said as she gave Timber his treat before going to rub his ears. "Oh such a good boy." She looked over at Drake as she smiled. "I don't think I'm a dog whisperer, but I did teach Buddy some of the tricks he knows. So maybe I'm just good at it?"

Timber gobbled up his treat and wagged his tail happily at the praise. Good boy was right and Drake promised himself that he would remember to give his furry friend a few more treats when they got home just for keeping the girl happy and making him look good. Dog whisperer or not Drake was glad he had found someone that liked his dog as much as he did. If nothing else that was something he could throw back in Danielle’s face the next time she started getting on to him about Timber’s behavior.

“Well maybe you can teach Timber a few things then. To be honest I didn’t know if he was going to listen or not but you do seem to be good with him. Trust me, I think it’s cool.” Timber licked at Kaylee’s hand as she pet him and as Drake watched them together all of a sudden an idea came to him. “You know, there’s a place to get hot drinks down the street if you’re thirsty. I mean I don’t mind chilling here but I thought you might want something to warm you up. As for me I wouldn’t mind stretching my legs for a bit if hot chocolate involved.

"I don't know if there's a lot I can teach Timber. He seems to have it pretty down pat. Unless you want him to learn how to speak or whatever." Kaylee giggled as the dog licked her hand as she gave him pets. She made sure to give him an extra good ear rub as well, since he did such a good job sitting. It was in the middle of a particularly good ear rub that Timber was immensely enjoying when Drake mentioned something about getting drinks.

Kaylee stopped her petting as she looked up with Drake with a smile. "Yeah," she said as she nodded her head as she gave Timber a final pet before standing up. "Hot chocolate sounds delightful right now. Where's this place you like?"

Kaylee sounded like she didn’t have much confidence in her doggie abilities which seemed a little strange since Timber had taken to her so well. Drake didn’t know if she would be able to teach his dog anything or not but the positive vibes he was picking up off her certainly made him think that it was at least worth a shot. If nothing else he thought both Timber and Kaylee would enjoy the opportunity to see each other again.

Drake gave her a chuckle. “Don’t worry about it Kaylee. If he picks up something that’s fine but really I think he will just be happy to see you.” Timber barked and wagged his tail as Drake grabbed his things and prepared to leave. “The place isn’t far which is probably good. Don’t want to get caught out in the snow.” Drake shouldered his guitar case and gave her a wink. As he did so he used his powers to gather up some of the moisture in the air and create a personal little snow flurry for the three of them. It wouldn’t be enough to cover any surfaces on a day like today but as the small snowflakes began to fall he was reminded that the whole point of having cool ice powers was that you got to put them to use every once in a while. “Well, would you look at that…”

“And I think I'll be happy to see him,” Kaylee said with a smile as she nodded her head before giggling at Timber’s barks. She watched Drake get all packed up before he threw her a wink. Kaylee was confused and her face heated up a bit before shaking it off. She was going to get hot chocolate with Drake before the it started snowing.


“What the…” Kaylee said as she looked up wide eyed up at the clouds and snow. “I thought it wasn't supposed to…” But then it all clicked together. “You did this!” she playfully accused Drake as she turned to look at him with a wide smile.

Drake looked at Kaylee innocently as she reacted to the snow. Was it a cheap trick? Maybe, but he liked the snow and by the look of things Kaylee liked it too. Besides, if he had impressed the girl then it was all worth it wasn't it?

Drake gave Kaylee a look as if to say 'Who me' and then gave a nod for her to follow as he turned to walk down the street. "I may have had a little something to do with it." He said with a playful smirk. "Didn't I tell you I was a child of Chione? It's why I'm so cool." Okay that was a bad one. He reminded himself not to overdo it as he gave a whistle and watched as Timber rushed passed them playing in the snowflakes. "Like it? I've always enjoyed the snow but I can make it stop too. Might look a little weird us being the only ones walking in the snow so, you know, I can if you want me to."

Child of Chione? Well, that explained a lot about Drake. Kaylee laughed as she shook her head before saying, "No... I think you conveniently left that part out." But she didn't mind the snow at all. She grew up in San Diego, after all. Snow was usually a thing she'd only see on TV. But having it right here in front of her because of Drake, it was like one of her childhood dreams came true. She stuck her hand out as she watched as a few flakes landed on her skin before melting a few seconds later. She looked over at Drake when he mentioned making the snow stop, but she quickly shook her head in disagreement. "I don't think it's weird at all. I've never seen snow before." She smiled brightly at him before she added, "Besides, it's nice and I bet everyone else is jealous."

“Silly me. I could have sworn…” Drake kept the innocent smirk as he trailed off. So maybe he had withheld a little information. He couldn’t give away all his secrets right at the beginning. How else was he supposed to come up with these little surprises and this one at least seemed to be paying off as Kaylee seemed to enjoy getting a chance to walk in the snow.

“Never seen snow?” Drake scoffed “Well now we can’t have that can we? I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t introduce you to all things icy.” He shook his head chuckling as he did so. The fact that someone could go through life without snow was completely foreign to him and what kind of son of Chione would he be if he didn’t make it his personal mission to introduce Kaylee to all the things she was missing. “You just stick with me kid and I’ll make sure the surprises keep coming.”
