He prefers to be called Hal. He likes to practice using his spear, and training with his friends. Hal knows that the fourth cohort was not the most popular cohort. Hal never really agreed with the system Camp Jupiter uses. He thinks that sorting kids based on their letters of recommendation is not a good idea. He believes that it would benifit the camp more if it was based on different skills. Hal is not loud, but not quiet either. He likes to make friends as he believes that in a battle, it's better to fight with friends rather than among enemies. He hopes to rise to centurion at some point and wants to know his peers. Hal is cheerful and has a playful sparkle in his eyes. He is a good fighter, and comfortable with his powers but tries not to brag about beating others. Hal has noticed that sometimes, when in war games, he finds himself willing to sacrifice others, often disagreeing with his centurions. (Silently of course) During these moments it's usually due to a hole in the defense that would cost them a few troops, but would end up in a victory for the 4th. And in the end, victory is what's most important right? godly parent-- Lelantos, Roman family-- Jamie Apollyon (Step-Father), Forty Three, Doctor, Rachel Apollyon (Mother), Forty Two, Journalist pets-- N/A hometown-- Scottsdale, Arizona history-- Hal was born in Scottsdale to Lelantos and a journalist. His mortal mother ended up marrying a doctor. Hal grew up fairly rich and attended regular school until he was 13. The day before Hal's 14th birthday, on the bus back from school a weird looking man started giving him a hard time. When he tried to grab Hal, Hal noticed he had very strange looking hands. When Hal shoved the man away, a gust of wind blew and seemed to blast the man. When the dude burst into a cloud of dust Hal ran home. When he told his mother exactly what happened, she told him about his father, and they took a plane to San Fransisco. When they arrived at San Fransisco, they drove for a while and stopped in something like a national park. His mother placed a small baton in his hands and she told him to hide in the woods, when Hal did, he was found by some wolves, terrified Hal ran away and upon encountering a broken down house he tried to hide in the ruins. When he was approached by Lupa, he finally understood. The legends of the roman gods he learned about in fifth grade were real. He trained with Lupa, who then sent him to find a Camp Jupiter. On the way, he encountered a Manticore. He fled in the direction he believed the camp to be. Before he got there, he had to fight the monster, as he tried to avoid the... well all of it he tried pressing the button on top of the baton his mother handed him. When it grew into a spear he was frozen in surprise. The manticore shot a barb into his shoulder, taking advantage of his momentary lapse of focus. In extreme pain, Hal managed to stab the manticore in the leg, allowing him to get away. He tried to seek shelter in a service tunnel and found Camp Jupiter. Upon entering through, he promptly collapsed. After being properly healed, and showing his letter of recommendation, he got sorted into the 4th cohort where he has been for the past 2 years with only his spear to remember his old life. Rp Sample-- (This was from a different site, Harry Potter to be exact, forgive my excessive nerdiness. XD) Halvor, still a little sore from the previous nights workout, walked through the door of the little shop. He sat down quietly, and ordered a coffee, quietly. When his drink arrived Hal smiled at the waitress and paid for his coffee. He took a tentative sip and looked around as he did. Hearing a few conversations he couldn't pick out anything of note. However his eyes fell on a pair of people talking, he had no idea the identity of the woman, but she was talking to a fellow auror. Hal supposed that she could be working in the minestry, or at Hogwarts if she was talking to one. Having a faint idea of who the man was Hal approached the two with his drink in hand. As he walked by he sat in the nearest chair, seeing the face of the man Hal smiled, "It's Lyle, right?" Halvor full well knew the mans name, -he'd taken to commiting the names of his fellow aurors to memory- however he wished to be conversational. Hal smiled at the woman and flourished a coin over his knuckle but was mearly trying to draw her attention away while he looked for clues as to who she might be. name; Bolt time zone; EST |
