Dante rolled into the mess hall. "We were on a secret mission for Chiron, Nick." He was still confined to his wheelchair, and there were bags under his eyes from lack of sleep. "We can't talk about it, so don't ask." The big man flashed a tired smile Daphne's way. It was quite obvious he wasn't getting much sleep, if any at all. He knew Nick didn't believe him. Dante was the only person Nick could tell when they were lying, but Nick got the message, shut up.

[Daphne Scotts]

Daphne couldn't help but smile a bit as Dante came rolling in. She didn't have to admit it to people who didn't understand. She couldn't help but be grateful right now.
"Yeah," she said as she continued playing with Shogun's hands. "Chiron had us on a secret mission. And we couldn't tell anyone. That's why we were gone so long..." She looked at the rest of the group, eager to change the subject. "So, how about that card game?"

[Marius Rodomonte]

"Okay, if you're all fine with using my cards." Marius pulled out a deck of card, and began shuffling them expertly. He pulled all sorts of shuffling tricks. "What should we play?" His eyes almost looked as if they were glowing. "Will someone cut the deck, and someone else deal the cards?" The gambler set the cards down on the table.

[Daphne Scotts]

Daphne looked around and noticed nobody was willing to make the move. She sighed as she dropped Shogun's hand to shuffle and cut the deck. She dealt out the cards to everyone. "So," she said as she handed everyone their second card. "Did we decide what game we were playing?"

[Marius Rodomonte]

"Let's play rummy." Marius laughed. He hadn't played that game in such a long time. He leaned backwards, making it look like he was about to fall off at any second. The son of Hermes looked at the assembled players. "Who wants to deal?"

[Daphne Scotts]

(umm... she was already dealing out card.... lol)

"I'll do it," Daphne said as she continued dealing out the appropriate number of cards to everyone. Once she passed out the cards, she set the remainder of stack in the middle of the table. She picked up her pile of cards. "Ready?" she asked as she flipped through them and started organizing them.

Marius held up his hand. "No, I'm not ready." He looked at the others. "I want to see if anyone wants to make this game more interesting." His eyes were so bright, it seemed as if they were glowing. "Well, how 'bout it?"
