Dakota raised both of her eyebrows at Dunstan while both of her eyes widened. "Really?" She did a quick once over at him before she looked back into his eyes. "I really wouldn't have pegged you for being French. You must have perfected your American accent." She smirked a bit before she realized that they were still holding hands.
"Um," she said as she quickly pulled her hands away from his as her blush heated up on her face some more. "Sorry..." she muttered as she looked over at Dunstan sheepishly. "I was figuring that you were getting tired of holding them... but thanks."

Dakota could still feel her heart beat in her chest as she tried to take deep breaths to calm down. However, Dunstan's compliment made her blush a bit. Maybe there was good in this new found ability of hers. In any case, she could now speak to more people if a French person happened to be her patient. But the other Athena kids making her? That didn't bode so well for her.
She smiled a bit when Dunstan called his siblings know it alls and told her to ignore them. She took another deep breath before she nodded her head and squeezed his hands a little bit more. "What about you?" she asked as she raised an eyebrow at him. "Did you study French in school? You sounded pretty fluent there."

Dakota took deep breaths as she tried to prevent a panic attack happening over the fact that she miracously could speak French. She heard stories of patients with brain injuries doing things that they've never done before, but Dakota was pretty sure she hadn't had a brain injury recently. Dunstan grabbed her hands and Dakota couldn't help but squeeze them a bit, making sure that he was still in front of her. "I... I... I don't know," she said as she looked up into his eyes. "And I don't know how I just spoke it so fluently."
"It's because you're an Aphrodite," one of Dunstan's siblings spoke up with a bit of a smirk as Dakota glanced over. "French is the language of love. Aphrodite is the goddess of love. You put two and two together." The group laughed as Dakota blushed a bit as she looked over at Dunstan. "I think that solves it," she said with a bit of a sheepish smile.

Dakota slowly nodded her head as she listen to Dunstan speak. She didn't understand what he was talking about with the petrology and seimology, but she could understand that they were science-related fields. She kept listening to him, not noticing the change in language until he pointed it out. She knitted her eyebrows together before she asked, "Vous parliez en français?" ("You were speaking in French?")
Her eyes widen as she slapped a hand across her mouth. In all her years of schooling, Dakota never once took French. How was it that she was able to speak a difficult language so fluently. "How... did I do that?" she asked as she took her hand away and made sure she was speaking English. She was shaking a bit as she was trying to decide if this was a freaky demigod thing or not. "I've never taken French once. Only a little bit of Spanish so I can speak to patients."

Dakota was enjoying the kissing quite a bit and she was getting lost in his lips. However, a single thought crossed her mind as he pulled her onto his lap and sat up a bit. "You shouldn't be straining yourself like this," she breathed out as she pulled away from his lips. She put her hands on his chest as she got the shivers from his hand on her back. "You should be resting so you can make a full recovery."
She attempted to untangle herself from his arms and tried to get him laying back down on the bed. "Your injuries are going to heal better with rest. Now c'mon." She laid down beside him once more trying to set a good example for him, but she couldn't seem to tear her eyes away from those lips.

As soon as her lips pressed against his, Dakota had second thoughts. Maybe she was throwing herself at the boy when he was down and injured. She had half a mind to pull away and apologize when he started kissing her back. He pulled her in closer and she laid her free hand on his chest as she gently curled her fingers into his skin. She had missed him so much and she was going to let him know through this kiss as she worked on kissing him thoroughly.
After a couple of minutes, she pulled away from his lips to catch her breath. Her breathing was ragged and shaky as she looked at him. She couldn't help but break into smile and giggles as she bit her lower lip. It been a long time since she was kissed and she was happy it was with Rayne. She uncurled her fingers from his chest as she reached up to cup his face. She smiled at him before she leaned in to kiss him once more.

"That's good," she muttered to him as she watched his eyes drift close. She should have let him sleep, but she had missed him so much. Just seeing him and hearing his voice just wasn't being enough for her. Her heart actually fluttered a bit as he decided to move in closer to her. That brought a thought into her mind. Maybe she was being stupid. He wouldn't have feelings for her, like she shouldn't for him. There was still Trell. He was still dating her or whatever, right?
It was her turn to get the goosebumps as his hand traveled up her waist before he caught the tip of her chin. She moved in a little bit closer to him as her eyes darted down to his lips. She was being stupid. Very stupid. She leaned in a little bit closer, but hesitated. She glanced up to his eyes as she studied them. She wondered if he was okay with what would happen next. She didn't take long before she ducked her head in again and pressed her lips against his.

Dakota made herself more comfortable on the bed as she rested her head on his pillows. She couldn't help but smile a bit more as he let go of her hand only to put it on her waist. That little movement caused her to scoot in a bit closer to him. Her eyes stayed on his as she watched him, making sure he was okay. She reached out once again with her free hand to push back his hair before moving to stroke his cheek. "Do you feel any better?" she whispered to him.
Of course, he wasn't going to heal immediately or overnight. The ambrosia only did so much and Dakota liked to do the old-fashioned way of healing. She pulled her hand away from his cheek as she lightly trailed her fingertips down his arm, making sure to avoid any of the bad cuts he had. "I really did miss you..." she said as she looked up at him a bit sheepishly.

Dakota smiled a bit as Rayne caught her other hand. She couldn't help but think back to when she first met him and how cute he was. She never completely understood why he didn't speak English right off the bat, but that was something that never really bothered her. But at his first request, she nodded her head before pulling her hands away from his as she stood up. She walked over to the door and locked it before checking to see that the windows were locked as well. Once they were secure, Dakota walked over to his bed and sat down on it again.
She grabbed his hands again as she smirked at him. "Do you really want it?" She leaned in a little bit closer to him when he asked for her to stay. "Okay," she said with her lips hovering over his. "I'll stay." Then she leaned in towards him, but at the last moment, she kissed his forehead instead. She chuckled a bit before she decided to make herself comfortable on the bed and lay down next to him as she faced him.

Dakota couldn't help but smile a bit as Rayne got comfortable in his bed and moved to press his back against the wall. She sat down on the edge of the bed as she let her hand rest on the bedding. Rayne took this as an opportunity to grip a couple of fingers which made Dakota smile a little bit more.
"Well..." Dakota started as she readjusted her hand so she was properly grasping his. "I do have more ambrosia and nectar. I also have mortal pain pills and I could whip up a couple of ice packs if you want." She chuckled a bit as she shook her head. "The other things I can think of will make you feel better, but won't necessarily dull the pain at all." She squeezed his hand gently. "Are you going to be okay by yourself?" she asked again gently. "Or do you want me to stay to make sure that you're alright?" If he was scared by this Jaime person, she wanted to make sure that Rayne felt safe as much as possible. She reached out with her free hand to brush his hair out of his face as she looked at him.

Dakota was happy that whatever Rayne was going through seemed to subdue for the time being. Maybe it wasn't just the drugs, maybe this Jaime person was really hell to make Rayne act all paranoid and crazy. But he was back at camp now, where people were going to protect him whether he liked it or not. Dakota was definitely going to make sure that she didn't have to fix him up for a third time.
"Okay," Dakota said softly as she reached an arm around Rayne to help lift him up and put him to bed. "You gonna be alright?" she asked as she made sure that he was comfortable and had the blankets tucked in around him. "You don't want me to stay with you or anything." She patted her pockets with a bit of a smirk. "I still have things I could do to you that would make you feel better... pain-wise."

Dakota couldn't help but smile a bit when he used his nickname for her. When he was learning English, he just had a difficult time pronouncing her name, so he just called her Dee. Even thought it was a completely childish nickname, Dakota just had a fondness to it, like the Zeus boy. She reached up to brush some dried blood from his forehead and to also push his hair out of his face. "If you insist. You know I'm here for you when you need it," she said with a bit of a smirk.
She sighed as she looked down at him and kept noticing all the wounds decorating his body. She looked back into his eyes as she gave him a stern look. "You need to sleep," she told him slowly. "You'll heal better and faster with sleep." She glanced up around the cabin at the different bunks. "Which one is yours?"

Rayne tried to sit up, but Dakota didn't scold him for once. It was good that he was moving, since that would mean the scabs and scars would be more flexible. There was no lying, he was not going to have a pretty body once everything healed, especially with that gash on his chest. She smirked a bit as he moved the blanket across one of his legs. She reached down to pull it all the way up both of his legs as she looked down at him. He just looked worn for wear, but even worse than the first time she met him.
Dakota pressed her lips together as Rayne gave a better description of this Jaime person. Even though she was supposed to be beyond pissed with the Zeus boy, she couldn't help but worry about him. Maybe it was because she had nursed him back to health twice now. She sighed as she looked down at the blonde in her lap. "Rayne, are you going to be okay because of him? Do you need any help?"

Dakota kept the ambrosia poised at his lips as she stroked his hair with her free hand. Rayne was acting calmer than before so either he still wasn't completely conscious or the drugs were finally working out of his system. After seeing the cuts on his body, Dakota wasn't sure which theory was correct. She took deep breaths as she looked down at him eating. She could smell the ambrosia and it smelled like her mom's chili and cornbread. Her eyes gazed over his half-naked body to make sure there weren't any signs of broken bones. The only swelling she could see was from the infected wounds, but those were taken care of.
She glanced down at Rayne as she raised both of her eyebrows at him as he explained who Jaime was. "He's... hell?" she muttered as she knitted her eyebrows together. What he was saying about this Jaime person and him being hell was not making sense to her at all. "Rayne..." she said as it finally clicked for her as she looked down at him. "Is that why you left? Because of him? Because he's hell?"

Dakota wasn't an idiot. She knew from looking that the gash on his chest was the one that probably hurt the most. She tried to be gentle about cleaning it, since it looked like it was the most infected. She hand to stop herself from flinching from the grip on her leg as she cleaned his gash. She heard him mutter out a name, but didn't really think about it until she noticed that he passed out from the pain. She couldn't help but wince a little bit as she quickly cleaned and bandaged him up. She waited by his side for him to come around.
It only took a little bit, but Rayne was finally stirring. Dakota fished some ambrosia out of her pocket as she moved to put Rayne's head in her lap and positioned the medicine by his lips. "Here," she said softly. "Eat this. You'll feel better." One thing was bothering her since he passed out and she had time to think about what he said. "Rayne... who's Jaime? Is she your girlfriend?"
