"Fine." Xenos grinned. He lifted his hand and placed her up higher on the cliff. "Now, stay there." He snapped his fingers and two primordial warriors appeared next to Harper. "Make sure she doesn't go anywhere." The child of the night turned and shadow traveled away. He reappeared at the bottom of the cliff.

Xenos growled at her feeble threat. He started to slowly open his hand, one finger at a time. The shadows mimicked him. He grinned when she screamed. "Now, are you going to be a good girl?" His face was malicious. "Or, are you going to fall? Remember. You have no room to negotiate with me." The shadows around him seemed to flex as if they were alive.

Xenos cursed as the vines burst from the ground. Before they could grab him, he moved Harper over to off the cliff. "Stop the plants, or I drop you." He growled. His face was twisted with rage. The child of the night shook her for emphasis. "NOW." Xenos said, as another vine made for him.

Xenos blocked Harper's attack with the sleeve of his coat. A metallic clang could be heard when the blade hit. "Bad idea, little Harper." Xenos put away his katars, and reached a hand out towards Harper. A gigantic hand made out of shadows appeared in between them. It matched the child of the night's hand move for move. Xenos grabbed Harper with the hand, lifting her into the air. "I would have left you alone if you hadn't attacked me." His face darkened.
The primordial warrior with the sword/spear burst into dust. Three of the remaining fighters charged Uriel. The fourth, the one who used brass knuckles couldn't be seen. Right before the three charging fighters got to Uriel, the fourth one showed up behind him, and drove his fist into Uriel's ribs. The blow knocked Uriel into the path of the other three.

The image in the air in front of Xenos and Harper showed the fight as it progressed. The warrior using the hammer slammed the massive weapon into the trees, breaking them into toothpicks. The fourth warrior, the one who used the spear/sword thing, rushed in between the trees and attacked Uriel, swinging upwards.

"No, I want you to wait." Xenos pointed at the bottom of the cliff. "Look. He's already here." He muttered something under his breath and a image appeared in the air. It showed Uriel fighting the five primordial warriors. As Uriel fought one two more attacked him from behind. Though they couldn't seem to land a hit. One warrior using a pair of hooked swords cut through the rod that Uriel had taken. It exploded in a burst of multi-colored energy.

Xenos grinned as he saw Uriel reach the bottom of the cliff. "Get him." Xenos spoke into thin air, but something heard him. Five people like the others that had attacked the Olympian warrior appeared around Uriel. Each of them had a strange weapon. Varying from a hammer the size of a two-handed axe to a pair of brass knuckles. "Let's get him." The one with the hammer said to the others. A man wielding a spear that had a blade the length of a sword attacked first.

"As I said this is to stall for time. I don't want to fight him while I'm weakened, and he's at full strength. So, I'm counting on my men to give me some time. I know Uriel won't leave enemies behind him, especially if it puts innocents at risk." Xenos frowned. "Now, I myself won't normally threaten mortals, but this is a necessity at this point. He's bested me twice, and I know now that I need to even the playing field." The child of the night stood up. His coat shifting as he did. "They should be getting there soon."

"Aww, don't be like that." His face turned dark. "I wasn't going to try anything. Now, come on stay a while." His sunglasses reflected the light, making it hard to see his expression. "Let's have some fun." A man with long blond hair, sunglasses, a black coat, and a tattoo like Xenos' appeared at the bottom of the cliff. Xenos drew his katars and laughed. "Let's see if you can do anything with that weed whacker of yours." Xenos grinned with dark delight.

The manticores laughed as they crumbled to dust. Then the poison from the spike hit Uriel. The wound burned like molten lava. "Hello again, Uriel." Xenos stood on a ledge above Uriel. "I had come to collect you, but I changed my mind. You will be much more useful to my like this. Don't forget that you'll be paralyzed like that for a while." The son of the night turned and shadow traveled away.

The second manticore leaped at Uriel, missing him, just as Uriel had attacked the first one. The first one dived back barely avoiding the sword. They growled at the son of Hades. They both sent four spikes each at Uriel, and one dived in front of him and the other behind.

"Now, now, put down the sword before you get hurt, kid." The second one growled. They were now on both sides of him. "Yes, we don't want to hurt you too much." The first one grinned, and without any warning four spikes flew at Uriel. He didn't even notice that the tail had moved.

Spines flew at Uriel and Harper. Screams could be heard from across the beach. Two manticores leapt from a nearby ledge. There tails hidden behind them. "Now, little demigods come with us, please. We need you in one piece." One of them growled. They split up trying to corner the two demigods.
