Rage ran across his face for just a fraction of a second. "Now, don't tell me I don't know true loss. My father is dead because of what I am. My Isabella's sou...." Xenos looked like he almost given away something he shouldn't. He muttered under his breath. "Get out. Don't bother trying to find this room again. It won't be here." He turned around and walked to the bed. Xenos stood there for a second before falling onto it. "Don't forget as long as you follow them, they will ask for more."

"Then, explain it to me." Xenos glared at her again. "The Olympians know our fates, right? Then' why won't they help the children they so love? They don't even have to tell us our fates, or save from the monsters. They would just have to tell us how to avoid losing our loved ones." He walked over towards her. "Why won't they let us keep them? I know you've asked yourself that millions of times since losing Jethro. I know, i have. I don't ever stop thinking about Isabella, and how they won't let me be with her. Why wouldn't they let Jethro stay with you? TELL ME! TELL ME WHY! WHY MUST US HEROES SACRIFICE OUR LOVED ONES!" It was a few seconds before Xenos calmed down. "Why can't you be with Jethro, huh?"

"The gods planned it." Xenos glared at her. "They planned his death, so you could be here on this quest." He stood up and walked to the mini-bar. "But they don't know what to do about me. I'm outside of destiny right now. They can't see how I'll change this quest. You can do this also, you know." The child of the night turned towards her. "You can escape the pain of destiny. You'll be able to stop the eventual loss you will feel." Xenos paused. "The Olympians will require loss and sacrifice. It's how they sustain themselves. Why do you think you burn a portion of your food for them? It's because they like the smell? That's a lie. It's because they need someone to sacrifice something for them."

"I must know." His face turned serious. "Why do you follow the Olympians? Haven't they caused you enough pain? Your tree is proof of that pain." Xenos sat back in his chair. "The Olympians expect us to sacrifice our loved ones, our lives, and our very sense of self. Do you want another painful memory?" He leaned forward in his chair towards her. "We can make it, so that you won't have to deal with pain like that again. Do you really want to lose another friend?"

"Now, as for the knife point thing, I just told them to get you here unharmed, and this is what they came up. I didn't think they would draw a knife on you." A towel was offered t Harper. "Now, will you please have a seat?" Xenos motioned to the chair across from him once again.

Xenos grinned as Harper was led into the room. "Hello, Harper. How are you, today?" He was seated on a leather chair in the middle of the penthouse floor. "Would care to join me?" The child of the night motioned to a chair across from him. "I promise I won't do anything for right now. I just want to talk."

Xenos grinned at his prisoner. The night sky was filled with stars. They had just shadow traveled to camp, and Xenos was happy about the state John was in. "You're home, pretty boy." A sneer from on his face. "Now let's let the camp know." The child of the night picked John up and threw him to the other side of the Amphitheater, grinning when the model hit a wall. Xenos muttered under his breath. "CAMPERS, I HAVE A GIFT FOR YOU." His voice amplified so that the entire camp could hear him. "I RETURN ONE OF MY PRISONERS, SO HURRY BEFORE, HE GETS MUCH WORSE." Xenos chuckled, "NOW, IF YOU'LL EXCUSE ME, I MUST BE OFF." He turned and shadow traveled away.

"I see you. Uriel." Xenos chuckled over the loudspeakers. "Don't worry about being overheard. The mortals can no longer here this conversation." The child of the night's voice sounded from all places at once. "I know how much you want to kill me, but I have no intention to fight you right now." His voice suddenly got serious. "Also, about your aunt, I know you probably didn't believe me when I said it before, but I had nothing to do with her death. I swear on the River Styx. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must be off."

Xenos's voice blared over the intercom of the ship. "Attention, all passengers." He sounded smug. "Attention, all passengers. This is your captain speaking. We have just received word of a threat of terror against this ship. I must ask all passengers to head to the life boats in a calm and orderly manner." Screams of terror could be heard all across the ship as the passengers realized what had just been said.

"Oh, hello, Ophelia. What is a primordial child doing in camp?" Xenos grinned again. "Now, I remember the message. The camp is going to be attacked." He smiled at the shocked looks of the campers. "It's going to happen about three days after the people who are on the quest leave, and if you try to delay the quest, my benefactors will win." The child of the night laughed at the campers. "Now, if you would excuse me, I need to leave." He slashed his hand through the air and disappeared.

"That is if you want to know anything about that snake of yours, and Artemis, I won't justify my actions, but I also won't allow you to question my motives." He looked at the door as more and more people came in. "Ah, Nickoliah, I found your cousin, and Erryn, how is Cael? Is that flower of yours safe?" He grinned at the newcomers. Xenos ignored Harper's comments.

"The camp is one of their main sources of power, and it must be taken out, so I can get her back." His face turned into a mask of calm. "Artemis and Raphael, so good of you to join us."
