Strengths-- Spenser is an amazing swimmer, he is great with people having near infinite patience, and being very careful.

Personality-- As the sole heir of the Deneve family and a distinguished nobleman, Spencer is strict, proud, and accustomed to a luxurious lifestyle. He was raised to stay away from a meager environment. He is stern with his orders, especially in the assertion of his authority, because he expects his 'servants', Ophelia and Oberon, to complete them without any shortcomings. Spencer often finds it entertaining to challenge the drones in areas of both strength and skill. Spencer is as well calm and logical, often telling others not to be so rash. He has a great deal of pride as well a perfectionist nature that does not settle for anything less for himself or others. Spencer is not afraid to take risks. Having been forced to need help for most of his life, he was raised in such a fashion to know that there’s no shame in offering it or receiving it. He seems quite neutral in most situations, though he might really be processing it in his own way, and building up an argument, or an opinion of his own, to be prepared. He’s very analytical in that way, even if he chooses to refrain from speaking very much. As the executive chairman of the family company, Spencer possesses business acumen and impressive keenness in management affairs. Cunning and artful, he successfully administers companies with ease. Having no greed and described as "knowing the boundaries". He only proceeds with the intent to help the company rather than hinder it.

Other personality characteristics he possesses seem to be: he is haughty, elegant and outwardly polite to others, he also has near infinite patience, being very careful, and taking pride in his work, being highly goal-oriented, and having a very strong will. Spencer also tends to be friendly to most people. He also has something of a temper, even if it takes him time to reach it. It’s a sort of black thing really, one second seeming quiet, and the next becoming dark and menacing as he tears into you for whichever reason. However, he is shown to be very understanding and sympathizes with others easily. He shows much more raw emotion than the typical cold, distant demigod, he appears to be, he is capable of showing great loyalty to his friends as well as those who have earned his respect and will defend them faithfully, but because of said bonds he becomes extremely distraught at the death of his friends, often blaming himself for not being able to protect or avenge them. He also admits to thinking himself less of a warrior for being a defensive type and using Ophelia and Oberon to fight for him, explaining his frequent disregard for his own life. Although he usually presents himself in a solemn and mature demeanor, Spencer can be rather childish at times. He is exceedingly competitive, which he acknowledges himself. He is unsatisfied with draws, and he refuses to quit until a victor is declared. Because of Spencer's talent in competition, he overestimates his skills to the point of thinking he can never lose. This is why Oberon and Ophelia are careful to make sure that Spencer is humbled by a decisive defeat and the guidance of an adult he respects. Spencer is also very fond of sweets,and he is allergic to cats. He inherited asthma from his mother and]despite this physical condition, Spencer is competent with building. He always carries a drone or two in order to defend himself and has one under his pillow when he sleeps.

History-- The story begins with the Deneve family, a strong and noble family in the tech firm lead by Sophia and Noel Deneve, they in turned had a daughter of the name Helen who was supposedly the next family heir, she was raised in the lap of luxury, having everything in the world that she desired, being born into a loving and supportive household. Helen didn't have much wrong with her childhood till her interest shifted from the family trade. As all children do, she wanted to make her own way and left off lying to her parents -saying she was heading off to study to abroad- but in all reality she left to party, to defying her parents rules. On her massive party road trip, Hephaestus and Helen met on a desolate desert road in the middle of nowhere when the young woman’s car broke down. He’d been sent out to repair it, yet after finishing the task, and taking her back to the nearest town, they never really relinquished contact to each other. After she left the town, they continued talking for a few months and one thing lead to another. When Spencer was born, she was forbidden by her mother, to return to the manor with her child. Thus Helen remained on the road, raising Spencer, until he was four. As he grew up, Helen's health steadily declines. When the Helen goes into debt due to her health, her parents offers a deal to their estranged daughter. In exchange for financial security and medical care until the end of her days, she is to relinquish all control and visitation of to her son. Her parents do this because they are concerned for the Deneve legacy, having no other children to whom they can pass on the family and business legacies. Helen tearfully accepts the offer and gives her son when he is five.

Spencer was raised by his grandparents who intended on raising Spencer to take over as the corporate head, in place of their daughter. Spencer was a regular child, who maintained a cheerful disposition. As a child, though he suffered from poor health, being afflicted with asthma and cat allergies. On his tenth birthday, he was running through the manor when he came across a few thieves. He called for help and ran to find someone, as they thugs urged after the young boy as he fleed. Before he could get away, however, he was attacked from behind by an unseen assailant who attempted to grabbed him. In this struggle, Spencer had found out his gift, or as he states now a horror that he is forced to bare. He had gained Hephaestus' claim and with it, his father's fire manipulation and with it he had scorched the men that attacked him but as a result he had set the manor to blaze, he and his grandparents barely making it out alive. Spencer to this day blames himself on the whole accident, feeling it would have been better if they had taken him away, holding him for ransom, or making him a slave, at least his grandparents would have a home. On his 13th birthday is when his life changed again, he was meet by a boy, but this one was different... To say the least, his legs were that of a goat and this in turned freaked out the boy, unsure of what he had seen he had a bit of an asthma attack resulting in him to pass out and to awake at the Big House, this time meeting an older man and got another pair of astonishing surprises; one he was a demigod and two, that he was talking to a centaur. He was soon explained how he'd stay here for most of the year as they speculated the thieves after him, 3 years prior where monsters after the young demigod. Spencer final question was, what about his grandparents reactions to him being gone, it was not a problem Chiron and the satyr we’re able to convince them that their heir would be attending a prestigious boarding school for 'gifted' young adults and thus is how the heir made his way to Camp Half-Blood.
