"You're not getting away that easily." Dante said before wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her back towards him. "I'm going to have to show you just how good I am." He told her as he picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. "So you get to come with me." The smith chuckled as he started to walk away towards the forges with her in tow. The son of Hephaestus made sure that she couldn't get away while he carried her over his shoulder. "Now, what should I make your new weapon out of?" He pondered as he stroked his chin with his free hand.

"If I can." Dante raised an eyebrow at her as he looked over the swords. "I think I've been insulted." He gave a mock scoff, making a show of things. "My best friend doesn't even have any faith in my abilities as a smith." The son of Hephaestus turned around and folded his arms before turning his nose up. "I don't even know if I want to make you anything now." He said as he closed his eyes, keeping his face as serious as he could. He only lasted a few seconds before a slight smile crept onto his face. He made sure to try and keep it out of Daphne's sight though.

"No, I think I got the gist of it." Dante said as he wondered exactly who Marius is. Oh well, I guess I can find out later. He though to himself. "You still using that same old sword you had before?" The smith asked her after a little while, wanting to find a project he could do besides his own personal ones as well as trying to find a different topic other than what happened while he was dead. "You ever going to get something better?" He teased before sticking his tongue out at her briefly. His hands moving to rest down at his sides.

"Kind of, but it has its own differences." Dante said in response to her saying the underworld was like a Lotus Casino. He frowned a little bit when she told him about the Primordials attacking the camp. His grudge against Xenos still in full effect. He wasn't certain to make of this new third group though. Honestly, it was making him even more confused than before. "Usurpers? It sounds like a bad alternative rock band. Does the leader wear his hair down in front of his face?" The son of Hephaestus joked before smiling down at her. "What about you? How's your life been going?"

"Really?" Dante gave a small laugh as he heard about how long it had been. "I didn't even realize it had been that long." He said before scratching the back of his head briefly. "Well, in the underworld, I didn't really notice the passing of time." His hand moved back down to his side. "I mean, I knew about what was happening to me down there, but it didn't feel like the world was moving along, you know?" The smith shook his head. "I guess it's hard to really explain it, huh? Anyways, it doesn't really feel like any time has passed at all since my death." He said with a shrug.

"Tell me about it" was all Dante got to say before being hugged by his best friend, making him smile slightly before he wrapped his arms around her to hug her back. "But now I'm back, so lets be happy about that, okay?" He said with a slightly goofy grin before letting her pull back from the hug slightly. "So how have you been, Daphne? I haven't seen you for a while." The son of Hephaestus looked down at the small young woman. The difference in height between them made glaringly obvious by that hug. He was curious what everything that happened while he was gone. He still didn't like to think about his death at all.

"Yeah, that's pretty much what happened." Dante said with a slightly scrunched up face, not really liking to reminded about his death at all. "Really hurt too." He held out his hand, hoping to get his pistol back so he could put it away. "But I was pulled from Elysium by Thanatos and I woke up a few days away from camp, not certain how long I had been dead or why I was dropped off there." He gave her a shrug, showing that he was pretty puzzled by the whole thing as well.
"And before you ask" The mechanic began as he held up his hands in front of her. "No, I don't know why I was brought back or anything. Thanatos refused to talk to me at all."

Dante caught Daphne's wrist when she screamed and turned to run. "Can you not?" He said as his ears rang because of her. "It's really me, Daphne. Here look." The son of Hephaestus pulled out his pistols and offered one of them to her. "Can you imagine anyone else besides me having anything like these?" He handed her one of his custom colts to study so she could make sure it was his.
Dante let go of her wrist and stepped back as he put away his other pistol, letting her keep one of them for now. "I'm really back, Daphne. Can you stop panicking please?" He asked while stepping back away from her. His hands held up. The mechanic waited for her to calm down, wondering if or when she would just accept that it was him.

"I need to kick Nicoliah's ass" Dante muttered to himself before he looked up from his work on his car, trying to get it working properly after it had been left sitting around ignored since his death. His right eyebrow raised as he saw Daphne walk towards the clearing. "Well, look at who it is." He said with a small half smile on his lips. "Miss me?" The mechanic asked his friend as he grabbed a rag and wiped off as much of the oil from his hands as he could.
Dante tossed the rag to the side before shutting the hood of his car and turning towards Daphne. "I haven't seen you in a while." He said as he walked over to her, wondering how he should explain what happened to him, if he even really could. "Wanna help me kick my cousin's ass? My car is such a wreck right now." The smith pointed a thumb back at his Impala, grinning as he did.

Dante sighed as he looked at the forge, wondering how long it would take to fire it up and why it would be extinguished in the first place. Don't people know how long it takes to get this fired up? He turned to look at the scrap pile. "Did this get even bigger?" The smith said to no one in particular as he looked for any gems that his brothers or sisters might have missed. His hand paused as he saw a bar of Stygian Iron. The metal seeming to drink in the light from around it. "Why would someone even throw this in here?" He glanced around before walking over to the forge and starting it up.
Dante let the flames build up for a little while before using the bellows to stoke them even hotter. He kept at that for several minutes before walking back over to the Stygian Iron bar and picking it up. "Let's see what we can do with you." The son of Hephaestus said before bring the metal over and putting it into the forge. He then backed up, leaning against a table and watching the pot to make sure the metal didn't get ruined from the heat.

Dante has a cousin named Nicolaih who is a son of Apollo. Their mothers are sisters and both have the maiden name James. You can decide whether you want to give him a different last name in case you want to give him a stepfather in his history. You can decide the face claim, but he is older than Dante and shares his love of cars. His preferred weapon is a long spear and his hometown is San Diego.
