Mickey thought he'd had a bit too many surprises as of recent, such as his new title as a dad. Actually finding out the gender of the baby though... He supposed that was more of Jessi's choice. Of course, she was asking for his opinion, but he didn't really feel like he deserved one due to his recent actions.
"I guess it's really up to you," he said nonchalantly with a shrug. "Besides, how would they even do that? Like do they just poke around or...?" The boy trailed off, hoping he didn't sound too much like an idiot. Damn I should've studied atleast a little. The thought was slightly surprising, considering Mickey had never studied for anything in his entire life.

Mickey scoffed slightly. She was definitely sugarcoating the feelings between him and his father. He shook his head and grinned at her. "My dad might as well have been a fucking sperm donor," he joked.
He learned long ago that the man who gave him life could care less about him. That was partially why he had acted so much in his young teen years, vying for the fatherly attention that he desperately needed. He had Jessie now, though, and hearing the genuine caring in her voice melted his heart. He had needed someone like her for so long without even knowing it.
"Besides, enough of this sad shit. We got baby stuff to talk about. Unless you already did stuff when I was gone?" The poor boy was getting a bit flustered. He knew little to nothing about babies. He picked up a parenting book at one point, but quickly got distracted by some Hermes kids looking for some fun.

He couldn't help but smile slightly, a bit smugly if anything. She'd said the three words. Of course, he'd heard stupid fan girls yelling them at him before, mixed in with desperate stalkers and creepy blog posts, but no one had actually said those words to him before and actually meant it. She loved him. That was almost enough to take away all the hurt and the damage. Almost. But there was still the matter of telling her why he'd left.
"Babe..." He trailed off, stroking her cheek gently with his thumb. Mickey was always so damn smooth with words until he actually needed to be. He sighed, chewing his bottom lip as he began talking again. "My dad he... He died. Heart attack. I had to go put his will in order and everything, plan the funeral, being the last living relative..." He shook his head, face blank, emotionless. He hadn't shed a single tear the whole trip. His father never loved him, never cared. "He left me the rights to everything. The business, the estate, the funds..."
Mickey was now the owner of one of the most successful companies in the world, not that he had any experience in running one nor the slightest clue how. "Of course, they're only under my name and I won't have access to any of it until I turn 18, but..." He wasn't even sure how to continue and so he left it at that, leaving the heavy words in the air to be processed.

Abortion. The word shook through his an entire body, hitting him like a ton of bricks. Of course, he'd never really cared much about the idea of an abortion before. Hell he'd even thrown around the word himself, as that had always been his plan if something like this happened. An abortion meant no baby, and no baby meant he had no responsibility.
But this was different. He didn't want to lose his baby, regardless of the impending adulthood it would force upon him. Because, even though he didn't know it, he loved it with every inch of his being. That was his baby and no one would ever hurt it.
In his own mini crisis he had momentarily forgotten Jessi. His chest ached as he saw her hand reach to dry her tears, knowing that he was the cause of her anguish. He stepped forward and his hand met hers, pulling it away from her tear-streaked cheeks.
"Let me get those, princess." he murmured softly, wiping away her tears for her. If he couldn't fix the damage the least he could do was pick up the pieces. "I'll always come back, okay? I love you and this damn baby too much to not come back." He didn't want to say anything about opposing the possibility of her getting an abortion, at least not yet. She was already pissed enough at him without bringing up another thing to argue over.

Ah, shit. She was all hormonal. Not that Jessi wasn't usually a bit... much, but the whole pregnancy thing probably wasn't helping. "I came back for you," he said truthfully. "And as for why I left, well..." That wasn't as simple. He couldn't wrap it up in a simple little present like everything else.
"Just some shit you don't gotta worry 'bout, I promise." he said after a long pause. It was typical Mickey, vague and careless. Besides, he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to tell Jessi why he'd left. It seemed simpler to leave it at that. He'd rather not drag her into his old shit. Hell, he'd rather not be a part of it himself. No doubt the paparazzi got plenty of shots of their favorite model returning from his mysterious disappearance.

And there she was, absolutely gorgeous as always. She was even more beautiful when she was pissed, and judging by the look on her face she most definitely was. He was hoping for some sort of 'welcome back' or a hug or something, but wasn't quite dumb enough to actually believe that would happen. Mickey knew he had been an asshole disappearing like that and he knew that Jessi had every right to be pissed. Wouldn't stop his cocky idiocy, though.
"Hey there, princess," he said sweetly, trademark little smirk on his face. "Miss me?" He glanced to her hand that was dangerously close to slapping his face and clucked his tongue in a scolding manner. "Now, now. No need to resort for violence."
Mickey chuckled lightly, blue eyes slowly moving down to her middle where a small bump resided. It was so slight that most wouldn't notice it, but the boy had spent enough time tracing every part of her body that he knew it by heart. He was tempted to extend a hand and touch her, to touch their baby, but he didn't want to overstep.

Okay, so maybe an impromptu journey to Chicago wasn't the best idea. Maybe Mickey should have told someone that he was leaving. Maybe leaving his pregnant girlfriend behind without warning was shitty. He was never one to think of consequences though, and no doubt he would have plenty. The first destination was the Big House, though Mickey wasn't entirely ready for Chiron chewing him out for his 'reckless behavior.' The whole spiel was rather useless at this point. He had heard it a thousand times before as this certainly hadn't been his first time leaving camp without giving notice. Once the damned centaur was done with his repetitive mix of a pep-talk and scolding, Mickey was at a bit of a loss for what to do. He wanted to see Jessi more than anything, but he knew his girlfriend and he knew she was going to be pissed beyond hell. So he lingered, mind in a limbo as he took out his pack of cigarettes. Sure he was already in trouble and smoking in the big house, but he needed to calm his nerves before getting possibly murdered. Jessi Burke

He does thrive in tension though and would probably get along with people that are similar to him in a frenemy-ish fashion. He'd click with other reckless people as he tends to avoid the timid ones. He most likely has an array of enemies that he's pissed off in one way or another. One of those ways include his indifference to whether or not the person he seduces is in a relationship. A lot of people are after him for sleeping with their girlfriend or boyfriend. He's also not the most loyal friend so he's probably got some angry ex-friends.

These would be the 'darker' demigods, such as Nyx, Ares, and Hades. However, this wont stop her from being nice to them. Winter: This side of Mel is definitely less friendly. She's not mean at all, but becomes rather antisocial. At this point she's more likely to get along with Hades kids and any other shadow demigods, as she now feels at home in the underworld. She'll spend less time with her regular friends and basically stay cooped up in her cabin besides maybe practicing with her beloved knife. Summer: Honestly there isn't a mean bone in this girls body. There really isn't much of a reason to dislike her unless you find optimism irritating. She won't stand for people that harm animals and will call people out on it, but besides that she will stay out of fights. She doesn't get herself involved in petty gossip nor would she betray any of her friends. If she feels that she has a problem with someone, she'll want to discuss it privately with them in a civil manner.
Winter: Melanie doesn't have the motivation to fight anyone during these months. She barely even has the motivation to get out of bed. What's the point when everything is cold and dead? There are probably a few of her summer friends who find this side of her irritating, though I'd say those aren't true friends. Her gloom and doom may aggravate some people in the same way her opposing optimism does in the summer. She's less likely to deal with problems and more likely to lock herself away.

Summer: She's an innocent, delicate little flower who, even at 16, has never had her first kiss. So, good luck, though I'm not opposed to the idea.
Winter: She can barely function as a person in winter. Whoever decided to take romantic interest in her would have to deal with this and be there to support her. The chance of her actually falling in love during winter is very slim, though it could be an interesting plot. Speaking of interesting plots, it would be cool if she were to have a relationship of sorts with one of those 'dark' demigods I was talking about before... Like, yes, hello, the daughter of spring and son/daughter of fricking darkness... Okay, sorry.

When he's kept under control he is a super friendly person. He wants to protect people who are seen as weak or victims. He can be kind of shy and socially awkward, but he tries his best. He wont be the most popular kid by any means. Most people probably avoid him due to the negative energy he puts off, but he can be a really loving and loyal friend if one earns it. Good luck putting up with him, though.

September is very easy to victimize. He's not a fighter, never has been. He sure as hell won't get involved with fights and will try to avoid them at all costs. The other demigods may dislike him for dragging the legion down a bit. So yeah, definitely someone to be bullied.

"Okay, okay." he sighed, pulling away from her and wincing slightly. His abdomen was still a bit sore. "I'll go talk to her," he knew he wasn't going to. He knew he was going to go back to the cabin or the woods and down a few bottles of beer. Dakota didn't need to know that, though. He'd usually blatantly disobey her, but he wasn't in the mood to be scolded further. He just wanted to forget.
He stood from the bed, hanging rather limply in a defeated fashion. Life had won. At least his sister cared. That was something. "Thanks for listening to me whine," Mickey smiled at her halfheartedly, turning to head to the cabin and get wasted.

The last thing he wanted to do was talk about it. The baby. He wanted to forget about it if anything and he was certainly trying to do just that. He ignored her question, instead responding with, "You're real hot... Wanna hook up?" he raised his eyebrows, fairly sure that she couldn't resist his charm. He was being a bit cocky considering his level of flirting skills wasn't very high when intoxicated. He was used to people just sorta coming after his body regardless of his shit personality. That and gold diggers. The thought of Jessi lingered in the back of his mind. They yelled at him to knock it off, to just go back to the cabin and sleep it off. He was fairly good at ignoring common sense though.

He burst out laughing at her question? Him? Alright? Now that was a good one. When had he ever been alright? Maybe when he was much younger, before he understood things. People aren't lying when they say innocence is bliss. It took him a while to stop laughing, though he still giggled a bit through his words. "Oh I'm great," he slurred with a touch of sarcasm.
Damn this girl was hot. And concerned. He'd be lying if he said he didn't like people caring. He thrived off of attention, whether good or bad. That had always been the case. Well, not always. He supposed it didn't happen until he realized his father would never care. After that he did whatever he could to be noticed. The press loved him for it once he became a model. There's nothing more delicious to the vicious packs of media than a young beautiful boy caught in sex and drug scandals. Man were those days fun.

"Thanks, Kota." he said truthfully, gratitude in his puffy eyes. "You're a real bitch sometimes, but you're pretty cool. For a sister anyways." He would talk to Jessi. His girlfriend. A word that even Dakota seemed unsure of, her hesitation not going unnoticed by Mickey. No one, least of all him, had confidence that he could stay tied down. "I really do love her." he added. The boy wasn't lying. Jessi had his heart. Love isn't always enough, though.

Mickey wasn't doing too well to say the least. How many other teenage dads are doing well, anyways? He just kept telling himself that. He couldn't be the only one handling this shit so poorly. He was avoiding Jessi and had spent most of the day in his cabin nestled up to empty cans of beer. He couldn't ignore the world forever though, even if he wanted to. Running away was still an option, one he had been seriously contemplating. He had somewhat convinced himself that he would always be an asshole and abandoning his girlfriend and unborn child would be no big deal.
Never make decisions when both upset and drunk. Mickey was particularly good at doing just that. The beer on his breath and red eyes were clear indicators of his somewhat disintegrating mental state as he stumbled around camp with little direction. He found himself at the lake and had a very great idea. What better way to deal with suppressed feelings than take a nice dip? He grinned at the thought as he began to strip, completely ignoring the fact that it was freezing out. He paused once in his boxers before having a 'fuck it' moment and pulling those off too.
And then he ran, feet slapping against the wood as he ran down the dock. His bare leg brushed the girl sitting at the end but he payed little mind, leaping into the water. It was fucking freezing. He let himself sink for a bit before swimming back up to the top, shivering violently as his head broke the surface. He grinned at the girl, winking with his black hair dripping the freezing water all over his face. "Bit chilly ain't it, babe?"
