Agni sighed and got to his feet. This girl clearly had issues and was now threatening him with the branch, which she broke in half. "Then that's your mistake," he replied. The punky demigod was prepared to fight back when Atalanta jumped in between him and the angry girl. Agni was glad someone sensible had showed up.
"Sure, this crazy person nearly landed on me, so I defended myself with a knife that wouldn't cut butter and then little miss loony gets all worked up over her big feet like an Aphrodite kid." He stated, turning his attention to Atalanta.

"I don't slash people because I think it's cool. I'm not the one with the problem. I don't go around slashing people because I feel like it." Agni retorted with an eye-roll of his own. This girl was blowing things out of proportion.
"Yeah, you do. I can't take it back when it's true." He sighed as the crazy girl grabbed a branch and threatened him with it. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." The punky demigod fixed his ice-blue eyes on the girl as he began radiating fear out towards her. Agni hoped that would put her off.

Agni had expected the girl to freak out. However, he didn't expect the tirade she came out with instead. The punky demigod raised an eyebrow as he looked at her. "You're the one who practically landed on me, what else did you expect?" Agni retorted before proceeding to continue sharpening his knife. However, the grumpy girl had other ideas.
He sighed as he looked at her again. "I don't go around slashing at people, I just don't like big sasquatch feet in my personal space. Haven't you heard of self-defence?" The dark-haired youth didn't see how he was in the wrong.

Agni usually wasn't the type to sit still. He normally liked to be roaming around in search of someone to scare. However, one of his knives needed sharpening. The dark-haired demigod decided to climb up onto the Phobos cabin's roof in the nice weather, taking his sharpening steel and knife with him. Agni then sat down and proceeded to begin sharpening his knife.
However, the rasping sound of the knife being sharpened was soon interrupted by the sound of someone landing on the roof, in his personal space. The punky youth was naturally annoyed at this and he slashed at the rude person's foot before rolling away.

Agni smirked at Atalanta’s words. He found her bravado amusing. Most people would have been scared by Spike’s hissing. ”Fear never stays hidden for very long. That is good to hear, I suppose.” The punky demigod was somewhat disappointed when she backed away and prepared to leave with her dog. Agni wanted to find out what her fear was. ”Hmmm, sounds boring. Yeah, seeing as this is the only place where you’re less likely to get attacked by monsters.” He watched her walk away before continuing his own walk. Agni was intrigued when Atalanta refused to reveal her fear. She had now piqued his curiosity. The punky guy smirked as she stepped closer despite the fear that she would be experiencing. Spike, on the other hand, did not like his space invaded. He lifted his head and let out a loud hiss.
Agni began stroking the irritated snake before speaking again. "You could have fooled me." He remarked with another chuckle. "Now you got me curious. Perhaps, but I can always find out. I can't help it if people's fear is amusing and I wouldn't recommend ruining my fun. Like I said before, I am good with knives and daggers."

Agni raised an eyebrow at Atalanta's reaction to his comment. She hadn't really showed true fear up until this point. He was not going to complain, though. The punky guy was glad he actually managed to freak her out. Agni had almost given up trying to scare her.
"Are you afraid of lightning or something?" He asked, a devilish grin spreading across his face. "Yeah, there's bound to be accidents when you've got a bunch of demigods in one area. I wouldn't say it's out of the blue as most Zeus kids don't zap unless they get pissed off." The dark demigod chuckled darkly again.

Agni burst out laughing at Atalanta's remark. "Yeah, it's just as well they don't talk. I can't have my secrets getting out." He chuckled again and looked thoughtful at the mention of the gods. "I think it's Gods. Nah, loads of campers here have said it and no one's been struck by lightning."
The dark-haired boy shrugged at her words. "Nah, it's not. You just think I'm decent because you're new. Other campers know better. Especially the people I've had fun with." Agni began stroking Spike again. He could not help but be amused by Atalanta continuing to ignore the fear.

Agni snorted in amusement as Atalanta facepalmed. "My pants aren't smart. Yeah, that's why you asked." He replied with a chuckle. The punky youth had never expected a child of Ares to have a sense of humour.
Agni let out another dark chuckle at her comment about him being decent. "That's only because you're new and don't scare easily." He pointed out. The dark demigod continued to watch Atalanta. She did not seem to be visibly bothered by his creepy demeanour. However, Agni couldn't read minds so he didn't know what was going through her head. He could only pick up on other people's fear.

Agni was not surprised when Atalanta shrugged in response to his comment about her being different from the other Ares kids. However, it did not bother him, either. The dark-haired boy looked out towards the horizon, gently stroking Spike. Agni was in the process of getting lost in his thoughts when she spoke again. He turned back to Atalanta and chuckled at her request.
"It's the opposite of big." The punky demigod replied with a smirk. Agni knew what she meant, but he decided to have a bit of fun with her. After all, it was the next best thing to actually scaring her. Agni knew Atalanta was not one of the campers that were easy to scare.

Agni tilted his head as Atalanta explained the reason behind the warzone photos and videos. "That's a good thing, I suppose. You'd look a bit funny with a pound of mince for a face. Pity the other Ares kids aren't like that." He replied dryly.
"I'm pretty good with knives and daggers, so I usually keep a bunch of them on me. Yeah, it's amazing how many people that act tough turn into big marshmallows when they're exposed to a bit of fear." The punky demigod chuckled again. Agni always liked scaring people. Their fear was always a source of amusement for him.

Agni frowned as Atalanta mentioned her mother showing pictures and videos of warzones. He didn't like the sound of that. "I guess it was meant to help, but that sort of thing would just make me depressed." The punky teen stated. Agni was not a violent person.
"Nah, it's a fact. Most people are put off by my fear vibes." He replied with a chuckle. The dark-haired demigod had managed to avoid most injuries caused by others because of this. Agni's fear powers made a good defense.
"I like to be alone when I'm not having my fun." He chuckled darkly. The dark youth was not exactly social unless he had found someone to scare.

"I know what ADHD is. It's a demigod thing, along with dyslexia. That's true, I suppose." Agni stated with a shrug. He chuckled as Atalanta started talking about her angry bull mode.
"Sounds scary but I wouldn't call you an angry bull. In order to break my nose, you'd have to get near me first." The punky boy replied with another chuckle. "You don't look like the prissy type. Yeah, the innocent ones always cop it in any situation. Well, it's not mindless when people think about doing it. My mom just told me fear was a part of life." Agni remarked casually.
"Actually, I'm judging by personality. You might not know them that well, but I've been here a bit longer than you. I'll take your word for it."

Agni couldn't help but chuckle at her insistence to drop the subject. As far as he was concerned, he wasn't in the wrong. "I could do that, as long as you stop screaming like a banshee." The punky youth replied with a shrug. Agni raised an eyebrow as he continued to keep his gaze on Atalanta.
"That doesn't sound ironic, just odd. You want peace and quiet, yet you've got music, which is technically just more noise." He pointed out, chuckling again. "I'll take your word for it. The view's pretty good, but I usually admire things that are a bit more entertaining." the young demigod smirked, a dark smile appearing on his face.
"A surprise is an understatement, that sounds way too noble. It's nothing like the other Ares kids here. That's the opposite for me. Both my mother and dear old dad told me there's nothing wrong with fear. You're a bit too shouty for an angry bull."

Agni winced and took a step back as Atalanta's tantrum significantly increased in volume. Even though his hearing was average, he was not keen on being shouted at or having someone yell in his ear. "Maybe, but I do know you're going to damage my eardrums and give me a migraine if you keep yelling like that. Probably calm down first, I'm sure there's a couple people fifty miles away who didn't hear your dulcet tones. Both of those situations aren't ideal, but you still should at least try to figure out a way to gain the advantage. With the two Cyclopes, anything heavy would help or possibly tricking them into hurting themselves. The dracaena is probably as cold-blooded as Spike, so you could have used that to your advantage." The punky demigod pointed out.
Agni was somewhat relieved as she seemed to calm down. He did not want another assault on his eardrums. The dark youth kept his icy-blue eyes on Atalanta even though she refused to look at him. "I thought that's what the training ground was for. That sounds weird coming from an Ares kid." Agni replied, a smirk reappearing on his face.
