Blue Sky (open)

[Dakota King]

Dakota always loved horses and grew up riding them and showing them in competitions. Once she got older, she didn't have that much time with all her nursing classes, but she was glad there was a stable at camp. She was caught off guard at first to learn that it housed pegasi and not horses, but she quickly warmed up to them.

Her mother gifted Dakota a pegasus during her first month at camp and she named it Blue Sky. It was a beautiful white color, but it almost seemed light blue in some light.

Dakota was in the stables this one day taking care of Blue Sky. Luckily, caring for a pegasus was no different than a horse. She was in with Blue Sky as she was brushing out its coat. The pegasus would nudge her shoulder once in a while and Dakota feed it sugar cubes she kept in her pocket.

frugifer walked to the stables, he wanted to see his hippalectryon named horsey, a horrible name for a rooster horse but he liked that name, as he got closer he could hear the familier sound of hen legs walking inside the stables
he has taken with him Horsey's favorite foods, bananas, carrots pears and watermelon. all washed and cleaned for easy eating.
as he got in to the stables he spotted the girl there started wondering if he should say hi to her but figured go right to horsey and start feeding him treats and try to teach him that it is ok to be outside the stables.
he smiled to his horse rooster thingy and petted it's horse head "chill out girl he wont steal your eggs, i wont let him" he picked up a peeled banana and held it up "want some snacks girl?"

Dakota glanced over her shoulder as she heard someone enter the stables. She didn't get a good look of who it was because at that moment, Blue Sky nudged her shoulder and Dakota turned around and fed it one of the sugar cubes she had. She brushed out its mane before she heard someone else talking. She pull her brush away before she turned around and peeked out over the door of the pen to see who it was. It was a boy and he was taking care of one of the creatures in here. "Does she have a name?" she asked as she folded her arms on top of the door and leaned against it. "She's beautiful."

he looked at the girl "horsey...the hippalectryon, not really the most inventive name but she is...well her past owner wasnt a good person, she kind of thinks people will steal her eggs, like all the time even when there are no eggs to steal" he stroked the hippalectryon and fed her a pear
"i just wish more had hippalectryons since i had to figure out what she eats myself" he looked at the girl "you have a pegasus right?, most who use the stables have pegasi" he stroked the head of the roosterhorse hybrid "i dont even eat eggs, why would i steal your eggs, makes no sense horsey" he turned and looked at the girl "also do you want to pet her? she likes females more than men, might be cos her past owner was a dude"

"A hippalectryon, huh?" Dakota said with a bit of a smirk. Being a demigod was a completely different world for her. She had to learn quickly about all the different gods, creatures, and monsters that roamed her now expanded world. Crash course in being a demigod was not that easy. "She lays eggs?" That sparked her entrance as she opened the door to Blue Sky's pen. "I'll be back, girl," she reassured the pegasi as she walked over to the boy and his pet. She smiled softly at the creature as she reached out to stroke its muzzle. "Hey there sweetheart," she cooed the animal before she looked over at the boy. "She's such a nice animal. I'm so sad to hear she had a mean owner."

"i have not seen her lay an egg, but yeah she should be able to, the guy i kind of stole her from said something about" he stoped and tried to think of a word for omelet that didnt sound eggy "food you get from those things and you add other things like meat and what not, and there is like a spanish version and blah blah blah"
he opened the pen "one day girl i will ride you in the sky, i am sure you can fly" he looked at the girl "ehh horsey not you, oh and i am Frugifer Vadderung sometimes thief of horsehens"

"Awww," Dakota cooed to the creature as she continued to stroke its muzzle. "Nobody is gonna hurt you, sweetheart. Nobody is gonna steal your eggs." Dakota learned from an early age to treat horses with respect, like you did with dogs. She talked to them and touched them. She always used calm, soothing voices. Those always seemed to work the best. She glanced over at the boy as she knitted her eyebrows slightly. "You mean omelets?" she said with a bit of a smirk as she glanced over at the animal. "I think if you keep giving her care and love, she'll lay an egg eventually." She giggled a bit as she smiled at the boy as he introduced himself. "I'm Dakota and that's Blue Sky over there." She nodded her head towards her pegasus's pen as she introduced the creature.
