Jaime's hands were faster than he had realized. His fathers blood pumped through his veins as he worked both inside and outside the forge. His sword, Scarlett, Lay in a bed of coals heating up to be fixed while he continued to build something out of spare parts. He wasn't sure what is was yet. He had just been throwing scraps and random items together. Items that felt like they would work in it. So far he had some kind of engine hanging by a chain, that he had yet to completely put together. The engine hung outside in the broad daylight where he could see what he was doing. He had pulled a workbench out with him to hold parts while a massive toolbox stood beside it, drawers open for him.
He wasn't dressed in his normal hoodie that day. In fact, he wasn't wearing anything over his chest as well. It was too hot in the forge for that. The heat normally didn't bother him, it was the fact that he was working so much that made it feel hot. So instead of sweating through his jacket and shirt he went without them. Black smudges of oil could be easily seen on his hands, arms, and face as he worked. With a deep breath, he set down a wrench and picked up a water bottle from the workbench. With his other hand, he tossed some more spare parts onto the table and unscrewed the bottle.
"Fu..." He mumbled breathless as he took a large swig from the bottle and set it and the cap down to walk a couple feet, check the state of his sword and walk back out. His hands quickly picked up a long piece of leather and walked over to the engine again before his hands disappeared into the middle of the thing. Below his chest was an entirely different matter. Waist down, he was wearing dark blue denim jeans, marked with black smudges too. A small flash of light appeared from the center of the strange engine where he urged a small flame out from the tip of his finger to melt some material he had found over an opening that he had needed sealed.

Damn Engine on her Motorcycle was busted to pieces. Riley had happen to be taking a midnight ride to New York to have some fun and half way there something launched her bike and it pretty much shattered into a thousand pieces. She had to walk home, get scolded and still all she could think about. She stormed over to the forge as soon as she could with the pieces in a bad on her hip.
She noticed a lot of people were in there actually, and it full humid, stuffy and hot. Very hot.She hated the heat so much, she liked cool weather where you don't feel like Hades is breathing down your neck. She looked around and saw one guy hard at work. He would have to do. She walked over to him and tapped his shoulder. "Hi there, do you happen to know a thing or two about a Rev 150 engine?" All she wanted was a fixed engine, a working motorcycle and to go make a couple bucks but nothing is ever that easy for her. It has been a bad day so she wasn't exactly in the mood for messing around. She sat there with her eyebrow raised looked at the guy for a answer.

A slight sheen of sweat made him shine like a brand new car as he connected piece after piece to his engine. His hands quickly left the engine to pick up a couple more pieces before they went right back in and he began connecting piece after piece. He didn't need to see the inside when he was just connecting. He could sense it. What piece he had in between two fingers, where it needed to go. He needed the light whenever he felt like he needed to 'adjust' a pipe or something else. He quickly wet his lips and pulled his hands out again, empty handed after he had attached piece after piece.
Then he felt her. Her presence at first. His instincts noted she was there, but he felt safe, mostly. He didn't feel like the presence would hurt him. Take something on the other hand might have been a different story, but he didn't feel that. It was confirmed when she didn't hit him, but tapped him on the shoulder. With a small sigh, he picked up a rag from the work bench and wiped his hands on it, pivoting on one foot to look at her. He stopped when he got a good look at her. She was cute...and that was an understatement.
"Rev 150?" He repeated but shook his head. "Don't know. Sorry." He replied and tossed the rag to the side before he froze. There was some use here. There was use everywhere. "If you let me take a look at it, though, I can fix it." He nodded at her. There was no maybe or probably. He had quickly grown confidence in his ability with machinery. If he could get his hands on the vehicle and the engine, he was sure he could fix it for her.

Damn. Of course they didn't know anything about 150's. That was Riley's luck. Some hepestus kids they were. She cocked a eyebrow when he said he'd still tried to fix it. She shifted her old bag onto the table and opened it up. "Well i hope you like jigsaw puzzles." She mummbled, pulling out a small fragment of what use to be a belt. "Cause well, whatever said no to my bike really said no." she said before laughing.
"I'm Riley by the way." she said stepping back from the bench but still looking around on it, noticing all the pieces on it and widdling with a wench. Yes Riley was incapable to not mess with things. She probably should be but eh, she could care less plus she was intrested in anything that would fix her bike, wheather a couple tools or a magic rainbow rock that you had to dance to. She would. She looked over at the guy and smiled "I understand if you can't do it, just trying to see if someone here can" She said sweetly with a hidden motive. She wanted to test this guy, See what he was capable of.

He watched as she seemed to droop at his first answer to her 150's only to give him a different look when he said he would try. Sure enough she lifted a bag up onto the table and opened it. His father's blood pumped through his veins at the sight, and an urge to add a couple pieces to his own engine came over him but he resisted. These weren't his. He could control himself. With a deep breath, he jogged in through the opening to the forge and picked up another table. The ridiculous weight of the thing didn't bother him. What did bother him was how slow he was moving. A couple seconds later he was back outside and had set the table down beside the first one.
Without another word, he picked up the bag of pieces and set it down on the table. His hands darted back and forth, picking up piece after piece and setting it down on the table. She was right. Something did not want this engine to be in one piece, at least that is what it looked like. He paused when she introduced herself and he stopped to look up at her messing around with a wrench. He pushed a smile onto his lips. "Jaime, or James." He replied before he finished pulling everything out of the bag and had arranged it on the table. His mind was racing. He had basically scanned everything with a touch as he pulled it out, now he just had to run the pieces over in his head until he found the correct way to put together the puzzle.
"I understand if you can't do it, just trying to see if someone here can" He looked up from the table to stare at her. Was she...? Was she trying to manipulate him? He stared at that...beautiful smile for a couple seconds before he looked back to the table. If she was, he would let her, for now. This way he could find out what she was capable of. "So what cabin are you from?" He asked as he stared at the table. Piece after piece shifted around in his mind until...finally, he found it.
"Alright. I can put it back together." He answered finally and leaned against the side of the table to face her. "Or I can give you something better for your bike." He took a guess to what the engine belonged too. "Both options are pretty costly though, I'm not cheap." His jaw flexed lightly as he spoke and he looked from her back to the table. "Putting it back together will cost less, obviously."

Riley watched as he, excuse her, as Jamie dug through the parts. Her attention span for floating around from place to place. From watching others work on swords and shields and anything they can get their hands on. She had barley heard him ask what cabin she was from but she still whipped her head around to look at him. Her cabin? "Does it matter? Do certain cabins get different rates?" she asked jokingly and looking around some more. She picked up a small piece from the table and looked back at him "Hermes though. Mischief and co." she said with a small smirk.
She listened while he told her about the different things he could do and how he cost a lot. It made her laugh. No one ever in her life had asked him about cost, or warned her of expensies. Her name at any Manhattan Hotle would alone get her the best suite and her mother had homes across the country. Last she saw her was when she was forced to come to her birthday party, the first time she ever even refered to her as her daughter. What a event.
She just shook her head and looked up at Jamie, not bothering with the past. "Whatever the cost I'll get it" she said simply. "And what exactly do you mean by better." She said, her intrest highly peeked. A better engine? What will it fly and shoot fire out of it. She was a Davidson for crying out loud, she had the best and if this guy thought he could do better. Well, she better stick around to see.

Each piece had two images in his eyes. One for the original piece and where it was at, and one image for where that piece belonged. He instinctively could rotate, turn, move, and adjust any piece to fit it into the puzzle that was supposed to be the engine. Eventually, he had the puzzle put together, the exception being the few pieces that had to have been lost in the crash or what ever had happened to the bike. His eyes shot up at her again when she asked if her cabin mattered. Her second question made his mind instantly shoot to thoughts of the Zeus cabin. Yeah, it definitely mattered to him. "No...just curious." Still, he chose a different answer.
Hermes? He thought to himself when she answered. He pushed himself to let traces of a smile tug at the corner of his lips at her words. "Huh..." He muttered softly and glanced at the piece that she had picked up. He let himself looked troubled at the thought for a moment before he answered again. "Never would have guessed." He stated before he picked up a wrench and walked back over to his own engine, leaving the topic at a momentary halt if she chose to reply.
His attention quickly moved on to the matter of the engine. What ever the cost? He could definitely see the greedy Hermes blood in her. He liked it too. It was a nice thing to see to him. "I take it..." He paused to tighten something on his engine. "...you have heard of an automaton?" He asked with a cocked eyebrow before he left the wrench hanging on the machine for a moment and walked over to her. His greased arm let his side or a moment to place his hand over hers, his eyes found her own for just a moment, before he slid the piece she had picked up from her grasp and walked back to his engine.
"My idea is kind of like that." He stated and pulled the wrench off to quickly add the piece onto his own engine. "I plan to use some automaton tech. to help it work a bit...'more.'" He smirked slightly and glanced at her again. "If you have a request for something more, you better say it now." He had an idea for payment, but that could wait a couple seconds.

The small moves of his face were easy to read, but they weren't normal movements. They were robotic, that they were heavly anazlyed. Either he was scamming her or he has no emotions. That made her full out smile. He was a lot like her, this could be fun. When he sad automaton her eyes perks up. They had nothing like that, now she was interested. Plus if it messed up her bike she could just go lift a new one.
She watched him as he slid over and put his hand on hers, before grabbing the piece from her hand and walking back and adding it to the engine currently on the table. Well damn. She full out laughed at that and walked over to where he was. "You know it could be bad luck to take something from a hermes kid. We are known for liking out things" she said smirking at him before looking at the engine he had currently.
She looked over it the engine before looking back at him and looked at him for a while. "I'm in." she said simply before smiling "No matter the cost im in still. Lets see what you automaton can do."

Out of the corner of his eyes he noticed her scanning him. Was she really? Good to know he was interesting enough in her eyes to scan like that. Then she smiled and managed to surprise him...somewhat. What exactly had she discovered? He resisted cocking an eyebrow and looked back to the engine for a second to put his hand over a pipe that had begun to spurt out oil. "Stop that" He put as much power behind his words as he could. He knew about the charm ability that Aphrodite kids had, and he liked to think that his control over machines was somewhat like that. He may not have been able to compel people to do things with his powers, but he could compel machines. Sure enough, when he pulled his hand away it was no longer spurting oil everywhere.
Besides...there were other ways to get people to do what he wanted. His breath came in and out heavily as he walked away from the engine to the chain that helped to hold the thing up. With a grunt, he grabbed the chain and pulled, breaking it free from the hook that held it in the air. As carefully as possible, he lowered the engine enough for him to get to the top of it. Quickly he re-hooked it and replied to her comment on his swiping. "I'll chance it." He turned to walk back over to the engine only to stop. No matter the cost? He hid a smirk before he turned to face her again.
Without a word, he approached her. His greasy hands rose into the air again to lightly brush some hair past her ear, his strong eyes followed his fingers as he did before he turned to look back in her eyes. "And that is a dangerous thing to say." He commented before he pulled his hand back and took another step closer. He definitely wanted to to give her the wrong idea. "I want you to steal something." He smirked again and turned back to the engine. He pressed his hand against something on the top and, like some kind of transformer, the top of the engine opened up. There were many things he could do to that engine.
The main things a thief would need though, that he figured, was a place to store her items and equipment. With some help from a Hecate kid, he could expand the storage space inside. Add some devices of his own invention to help her. He would have to look into things like invisibility, more speed, color changes for the entire vehicle, Greek fire perhaps from the exhaust pipes. Maybe he could even make a holster for her weapons, with the help of the mist she could have daggers or swords basically anywhere. Flight wasn't something he was sure about. Though he could add something like a glider or a parachute in the storage area for her. Shooting fire and driving on water though might have been easier, or perhaps even driving up walls. "It won't be easy." He commented on the idea of what he wanted her to steal. Definitely not easy. He turned back to her and cocked an eyebrow. He didn't want to tell her what it was just yet. He couldn't have her freaking out too much.

Oh Riley liked this one a lot. She watched as he worked, he clearly knew what he was doing, and he seemed to be as miniacle as she was which she liked. She was a little shocked at first when he started to move her hair but the second he said it was a dangerous thing to say the fire sparked back into her eyes. I want you to steal something. A full smirk played out on her face. SHe calmly walked over to him, placing her hand on his lower back and moving in next to his ear, whipsering "and who said I wasn't dangerous." She purposly let herself stay there too long before moving away, hoping up on the table in a clearish spot.
She watched him think and smirk wider, her joker grin showing. Her twisted mind was at play at what he wanted her to steal. What could a hepeastus kid want. Exclusive comic book? World war two plane? The Tesseract? She laughed when he said it wouldn't be easy. "If they were easy everyone would be a theif. You just happen to a daughter of the theif." She said, playing with a few pieces of scap metal and bending it into a ball. "So Jamie. What can this fox steal for you?" she said twirling a wire around her finger and looking up at him, waiting for her answer with a sly smirk.

She teased, he didn't. He thought to himself. His working pace didn't even slow as she walked up behind him and touched him. The way her fingers lingered on his skin was soft. Her hands were smooth and kind of nice, like a blanket but he could only smirk as she whispered into his ear. Her? Dangerous? Perhaps a little bit. He admitted to himself. Only a little. He added silently. His stomach tightened and turned as she pulled away, but for his powers. When she pulled away, he finally pulled his attention away from the engine, and urged it close back up for him. The top of the engine slid shut with the soft sound of metal sliding against metal. Like a sword going into its sheath.
Without even thinking about it, he whipped around and followed her over to the spot on the table where she had been messing with scrap metal and wires. His hands moved just as fast as his mind did, firmly grabbing her by the hips and pulling her to the edge of the table, pressing his oil covered chest against hers. He didn't care, and something told him she probably wouldn't mind the oil too much. He barely contained the small growl that ripped free from his throat as he attacked her neck with a single soft kiss, carefully he let it linger just long enough for her to register what happened. He figured with her sharp mind that wasn't long, before he gave her neck another kiss, higher this time, on the edge of her jawline. She teased, he didn't. He repeated again in his mind. Again he moved higher until he was next to her ear and finally whispered back.
"I want you to steal a rock..." He muttered into her ear. His hands gave her hips a firm squeeze and forcefully tried to scoot her a little closer. "...About the size of your fist." He continued muttering and quickly moved down to place another kiss on her shoulder before he pulled away. "You'll find it by shining this on it." He spoke in a louder tone and pulled a small flashlight out of his pocket. He had made the flashlight to change depending on the light around the person. If they were in sunlight it would give off light like a normal incandescent flashlight. If the person was in a room with incandescent light bulbs already, then it would shine sunlight instead. He had a little help from one of the Apollo kids, after all, he wasn't completely sure what room the gem was in, if it was in a room.
"If you find the right one, it will change color under the light from this." He waved the flashlight around a couple times before he set it down on the table next to her. Then came the thought of who she had to steal it from and he couldn't help but smile. He picked up a pipe from the table and went to try and add it back to the engine.

Riley had heard him moving but she was so forcues on her wire she didn't notice he was on her till he was, pulling her towards the edge of the table. He felts sticky, probably from the working and oil but also strong, and she even heard him growl! Riley had been with boyfriends before but something told her this wasn't like that. She only laughed when he kissed her neck, letting herself enjoy it for a while. She smirked just before he did it again and muttered "Careful Jamie, you may be falling for a theif." she said jokingly. She knew he wasn't but no need to let him know that.
A Rock. She was stealing a rock? She watched as he pulled away after kissing her shoulder and laid a flashlight on the table. Rock, flashlight, changing color. Hmm. She looked over at him the back at the flash light and picked it up. It seemed like a normal flashlight. She looked up at him again, twirling the flashlight in her hand. "Okay then. A rock." she said, laughing to herself slightly. "and whose Rock am i stealing and why am i stealing it?" she said simply looking up at him. Hey, she had to know all the cards on the table before she did something and if it was worth what he could promise from her engine. She never got the short of a deal.

He hadn't been completely sure how she would react to sharing the oil that had covered him, and he didn't find an answer. He had taken the bet that she might have liked it, perhaps just the smell since she had seemed incredibly fond of her own bike. Different oils maybe. He figured it to have been worth a shot. Yet when she didn't push him away, he knew he hadn't exactly screwed up either. So he vamped it up, moving on from simple kisses to nibbles and small licks if he pinched too hard. Falling for a thief? She was intriguing there was no doubt about that, but she hadn't interested him that much.
"Don't flatter yourself too much." He stated softly when he finally backed away and placed the flashlight on the table. She quickly picked it up and began to fiddle with the machine. She certainly had a knack for touching things. He made a mental note of this and leaned against his giant tool box. "Technically..." He paused to pick up the rag he had previously used to wipe his hands and began to wipe up some of the oil that had splashed on his chest. "...it's my rock. A large piece of Alexandrite, or Chrysoberyl if you would prefer to call it that. And I want it back." He smiled softly at her, purposefully holding the last piece of information back as long as he could.
Finally though, he gave in. "Last I heard..." He paused to put the rag back down. He had done a crap job on wiping up the oil but the oil didn't matter to him at the moment. "...Aphrodite held it last. Not sure if she still has it."

Well. She rolled her eyes at his comment before muttering "Joke", what a kill joy. She looked at the grease and oil on her and shurgged it off. She was use to it with all the times she tried to fix her bike. Never went to well. Her ears perked up at a word she knew. Alexandrite. It was a very, VERY nice gem. Her mother had a necklace made of it once. She just smirked. She liked shiny things what could she say.
"Aphrodite huh?" She was stealing a gem from Aphrodite. That could be problematic. THat is, if she even had it? "So let me get this straight." she said jumping off the table and leaving the magical scooby doo of flashlights on the table. "You want me to find a gem, stealing it form the goddess of love herself, that is, if she even has it." She said pasing around before looking back at him. She just looked for a second and had so many questions, she couldnt stop herself from unleashing them. "Why is it so important? and why would aphrodite be the last one to have your gem?"

He couldn't help but laugh when she muttered the word 'joke' and went to inspecting the mess he had made. It didn't matter that much to him if she didn't like it. He liked the way it clung to her. It was...appetizing. "I guess I'm just not that much of a tease." The slight twitch about her when he mentioned what gem it was made him smile. She knew what to look for then. The smirk on her face brought him more good news. She definitely knew what to look for. He turned to stare at the rag he had put down as she had spoken up. "Can you not do it?"
He cocked an eyebrow in her direction but didn't look away from the rag. He had two major options that he could see at the moment. Enjoy the sight of the oil sticking to her more, or hand her the rag and enjoy a different sight instead. Then she walked towards him and he knew which one he wanted. He watched silently as she circled around him until finally she stopped in front of him again. Quietly, he picked up the rag from the table and held it out in front of her between his thumb and forefinger. "You seem to have it all straightened out so far." He replied softly.
With a small exhale he gave her one simple answer to the rampage of questions that she had thrown out. "What exactly makes you think I'm going to just give you the answer to those questions?" He cocked an eyebrow at her again and barely bit his lower lip, just enough for her to see.
