A Chance Encounter [Tangela]

It was a chilly day at camp, Jim had decided. Stepping out of the forest, he gently laid his pack down at the treeline. Reaching inside for his ocarina, he looked out over the strawberry fields. Thankfully, there was no frost on this day, so he could hopefully get some strawberries to grow for the camp. Running through a list of songs in his head he slowly walked out onto the field. He wanted something happy to play, something to lift the plants up as he imbues them with his magics. Placing his lips softly on the mouthpiece he begins to play "Walking on Sunshine." Plants sunshine, it just works in his mind.

He trotted through the rows of strawberries, playing his music and feeling the magic and plants come to life. Soon small strawberries were starting to pop up everywhere. He couldn't make them fully grow like the children of Demeter could, but he can get them started. He hoped a hard freeze wouldn't come that night. If it didn't he could come back with more energy the next night and maybe finish growing the berries. He continued to play as he walked back under the lovely tree he had placed his bag under. It seemed more vibrant and alive then the other trees around, and with his music helping it seemed to get back it's flowers. Soft looking pink buds slowly opened to reveal the petals. He sat down and leaned against it gently, continuing his music.

Tangela hated chilly days! She was all for the sun shining and brightening up the world! Granted, she really didn't mind the rain considering all the good it did for her and the other plants. Still, she was a little down about the day being so cold. She really just needed something to lighten her up a little bit! Or a lot o bit! Maybe her sisters where throwing a party tonight? No, they wouldn't do that on a chilly day. Tangey was out of luck.

She thought that too soon-for suddenly a beautiful song was wafting up toward her, coming up through the field. She giggled a little and quickly retreated back into her tree, waiting for the music to reach her. Soon, the music reached her through the means of the adorable satyr that was playing! She watched as he played to her tree, her happiness at the sound causing the pink buds to open up, revealing beautiful petals. She could tell the other plants liked it too!

Soon, he leaned against her tree. She listened for just a moment before materializing right beside him in a similar sitting position, leaning against the tree as well. "That's really beautiful!" she chimed happily.
