Jessi groaned as she stirred in her sleep. She had the weirdest dreams while she was drunk. Like Mickey came over in his batman boxers all drunk and professed his love for her? It seemed like something completely out of the ordinary, so it had to be a dream. There was no way that Mickey, the Mickey who bedded almost half of the camp, was in love with her. And there was no way she was in love with him too. But there was an body in her bed that moved to hold her close. And she could tell by those hand and those lips... Mickey was in her bed again. Which meant...

Jessi buried her head into the pillows as she groaned a bit. There was a pounding headache, but there was at least no nausea. Did her drunk self do something stupid again? She picked up her head slightly as she tried to look over her shoulder. "Mickey?" she muttered as she looked over at him. "Did you come over in just Batman boxers last night?"

"Good morning to you too, princess." he teased, the hangover doing nothing to stunt his annoying humor. Besides, grumbling at him was no good way to greet the morning. "And Batman boxers? I'm not wearing any now obviously, but I own a pair." or several... not that he'd admit it. "Why?"

He tried to remember last night but came up with nothing, a blank space where any memory should've been. No doubt he'd blacked out considering how much he was drinking. Last thing he remembered was Dakota yelling at him about alcohol poisoning or respect or one of those things she's always ranting about. Considering his usual aversion to clothing, he figured it wouldn't be unlikely that he came over in boxers. I mean, who needs clothes when you have a body like his?

He called her princess again. Mickey called her princess again. She vaguely remembered admitting to him that she liked being called princess. And he owned a pair of batman boxers. Her dream wasn't a dream. It all happened last night. She groaned as she buried her face into the pillows and took deep breaths. It was information overload. If everything in her so-called dream actually happened last night...

"Oh gods," she mumbled as she lifted her head and looked over her shoulder at Mickey. "You said last night that you and your penis loved me and you wanted me to be your girlfriend so you could buy me flowers." She raised an eyebrow at him, wondering if he remembered, but she was preparing for rejection at the same time.

He burst out laughing at her words. Him, in love with her? Him, wanting to have a girlfriend? Him, wanting to buy flowers? Yeah, no. "Babe, I dunno if you know who you're talking to, but does that sound like me?" he asked, shaking his head while still grinning at the ridiculousness of what she had said.

There was a sinking feeling in his chest, though. Because he couldn't remember. Because he couldn't disprove her words. He could lie to her all he wanted but convincing himself would be a lot harder. What if he had said he loved her? So what, Mickey? You were drunk. It doesn't matter. He tried to convince himself that he didn't care. Just push the feelings down and ignore them. He hoped she wouldn't be able to tell.

Jessi couldn't explain it, but Mickey's laugh stung. It hit her hard and it felt like her heart was ripped out of her chest. "No..." she said softly. "I guess you're right. We were both drunk after all..." She smiled weakly as she laid her head back on the pillow and looked away from him. She felt tears stinging at her eyes. Why did she want to cry. She knew that Mickey was a player and a jerk and she was just another one of his conquests. Why did she think he would be different and want to be her boyfriend and want to buy her flowers. But instead, he was going to get out of this bed and leave right through the door. They always leave. Every. Single. Last. One. Of. Them.

"You should go," she said abruptly as she moved out of his arms and tried to blink back the tears. "Your cabin might be worried about you and I have... things to do."

His grip around her tightened as she tried to leave his arms. Something was wrong. He had broken plenty of people's hearts, watched them cry and walked away. He could hear the hurt in her voice. He wanted nothing more than to escape. To do what she said and just go. But his heart wouldn't let him.

"Jessi..." he murmured softly, turning her to face him. Her bare chest touching his nearly made him lose focus, but he cared too much to let that happen. "I didn't mean it like that. Don't cry, princess..." he didn't know what to do. Dealing with upset girls? Definitely not up his alley.

He brought his hand to her cheek, stroking it softly. "I'm sorry. You're amazing and beautiful... I'm just shit, okay? I'm not... I'm not worth your tears." he smiled weakly, kissing her nose gently. "I'll go, if that's what you want. I mean, I wouldn't blame you. Just don't be sad."

Jessi did try to get away from Mickey. She didn't want him around when she eventually broke down into tears. She thought he would get the hint and leave, but no. Instead, he tightened his arms around her and turned her to face him. She completely avoided his eyes, glancing off to the side as she took deep, but shaky breaths trying not to break down in front of him. But then he called her Princess. Something she admitting to liking, but he didn't remember. He wanted to be her boyfriend and buy her flowers, but he didn't remember. He admitting to being in love with her, but he didn't remember.

And he was trying to comfort her and smooth things over? She jerked away from his hand after he kissed her nose as she glared at him. "Oh, now you care?" she spat out at him. "I know you really don't, so do even try. I'm just another booty call and conquest for you. The entire camp knows. So stop pretending like you care about me, because you don't."

Mickey was no stranger to get yelled at. Screamed at, slapped, chased, whatever. He was used to it and it didn't effect him. He could just laugh it off like he laughed everything off. But things were different with Jessi, and he couldn't just laugh it off. He didn't even try, breath catching in his throat as her words hit him harder than any hand.

"If I didn't care I wouldn't still fucking be here." he growled, tearing away from her. "You think I just show up at other people's cabins? Hell no. I keep coming back for you. But whatever. Screw it." he got out of bed, refusing to look at her as he found and pulled on the infamous batman boxers. C'mon, Michael. Don't cry now. Shake it off. It doesn't matter. He couldn't hold it in, though, blue eyes welling up with tears. He couldn't remember a time when he had cried since he was in elementary school. Jessi had ripped his world right out from under his feet and he'd let it happen.

Jessi hardened her glare at Mickey as he growled at her. He thought he had a right to get upset. He was the one using her! And he was getting upset that she was upset. The nerve... "Well, isn't that special," she spat at him as he left her bed. If she wasn't in such a sour mood, she would have checked him out while he was hunting for his boxers. Instead, she rolled over to press her lips together as she took deep, shaky breaths. She closed her eyes as a couple of tears streaked down her face. Why she was crying over Mickey rejecting her, she'd never know. She kept her crying silent for now until he left the cabin. She didn't want Mickey to hear her sobs.

He made the poor decision of glancing back at her. He should have just left, but he couldn't resist just taking one more look. She was crying. Shit. His heart hurt, wrenching like someone was pulling it in all different directions. He didn't want to see her hurt.

Why'd he have to look back? He walked briskly towards the exit, holding back the tears that threatened to spill. He closed the door behind him without saying goodbye. Mickey paused on the porch, leaning against the door. "Not here. Don't break down here." He muttered to himself, trying to take deep breaths.

The boy slammed the back of his head against the door, cussing under his breath. He caught a younger demigod gawking at him and shot the kid a glare. "Fuck are you looking at?" he growled, clenching his fists. The words were repeated along with many dirty looks as he trudged back to his cabin, threatening to fight nearly every person he came across.

He lost it when he got back to the Aphrodite cabin. Broke down sobbing, punching walls and throwing stuff. Mickey kept going until he had tired himself off, sitting in the midst of the mess he created, knuckles bloodied and covered in shards of glass. He lit a joint, taking a long drag as he laid down, laughing a bit as the broken glass cut his back.

After pulling an overnight shift in the infirmary, Dakota was crashed out in her bed trying to catch up on her sleep. She slept with her bedroom door shut, but it didn't block out all of the noise. She heard noises coming from the other room. Usually, her siblings just moving about didn't bother her, but this was worse. Much worse. It sounded like pounding and breaking. Dakota woken up enough to lift her head off of the pillow to stare at the door and decide whether or not it needed her attention. She was about to go back asleep when she smelled a strong, sickly sweet smell. She narrowed her eyes as she got out of bed and stormed to her bedroom door.

She threw open her door and was about to scream about using drugs in the cabin when she saw the chaos. She blinked for a second before she realized that Mickey was back, but he was in his boxers in the middle of broken glass with a joint in his hand. She stormed over to him as she glared down at him. She was about to say something about the joint when she noticed something. He was crying. Mickey was crying. She blinked for a couple more seconds before she crouched to get on eye-level. "Mickey..." she said hesitantly. "What's wrong?"

He giggled, raising his eyebrows as his sister entered the room looking magnificently pissed. All sorts of fun he was having this morning. He was waiting for the yelling to ensue, perhaps a slap to the face. He wanted it, really. He wanted to hurt, to get in trouble. But the scolding never came, Dakota only crouching before him and murmuring a question.

He took another hit before answering, blowing the smoke right in her face. "What the fuck isn't wrong?" he asked with a sarcastic laugh. Why did she even bother asking? She didn't care about him. Nobody cared about him. Not Dakota, not his dad, not Aphrodite, and certainly not Jessi.

He sat up, wincing slightly as he left a bloody mess in his place. He looked her straight in the eyes, tears still running down his cheeks as he grinned. "What's wrong, oh lovely sister, is I'm quite literally a piece of shit,"

Dakota really tried to be concerned for Mickey. She was ignoring the fact that there was broken glass everywhere that she had to step around and that he had weed in his hand. She couldn't ignore the latter when he blew smoke in her face. She coughed for a moment before she glared at her brother and ripped the joint out of his hand. "What the hell, Mickey," she said as she dropped it on the ground and grabbed a nearby shoe to extinguish it. She looked back at him. "You know there's no smoking in the cabin, especially if it's drugs. You take that somewhere else."

She sighed loudly as he decided to be complicated with her. She reached up to comb her hair out of her face as she looked down at her brother. "Okay..." she said calmly as her patience was clearly tested. "Would you like to elaborate on why you're a literal piece of shit?"

He frowned as Dakota took his joint, mumbling a half-hearted protest. He didn't really care about the drugs. He didn't really care about anything but Jessi, but he was trying to convince himself he didn't care about her either. That clearly wasn't working out too well. He sighed dramatically at Dakota's request, rolling his eyes.

"Well, it appears that I'm possibly in love which is utter bullshit and I may have completely screwed up," the word felt foreign on his tongue. Love, love, love. What was it good for? Absolutely nothing. He had avoided the damn thing his whole life and the moment it touched his heart things fell apart.

"You're possibly in love?" Dakota repeated before she gave a loud sigh. This was going to be more difficult than she was expecting. She looked around her and started clearing away the glass so she could have a proper seat in front of her brother. Once she got an area cleared out, she sat cross-legged in front of him as she raised an eyebrow at him. She looked him over. He was a wreck, more so than the norm. Whatever was tearing him up was really big. And she noticed he was bleeding, but that was something that could be taken care of later. "Do you want to give me more details? Did one of your one night stands turn into something more?"
