Two Pink Lines (Mickey)

Great. They were both crying messes. Great fucking job, Mickey boy. "Having no dad is better than having a bad one..." he croaked, wiping his face with his forearm which left it smeared with blood. He shook his head, laughing slightly. "You know I'm fucking in love with you, right? And I hate it so much. You've made me weak." He tried to stand up straight, stumbling a bit before regaining his balance. He may have been taller than Jessi but gods did he feel small.

"It's useless though, love, ain't it? Love you and this is how it turns out. Wish I would've never met you. But now I can't unmeet you and it sucks big time 'cause you're a part of me. Hell you literally have a part of me in you. I can't run away from it when all I want is you. But now you hate me. So I wish you'd just kill me so it'd hurt less." he was rambling, seeming a bit delirious. Whether or not he was drunk or high was up in the air, but sober or not he seemed to be having a bit of a mental break.

Jessi had every intention of walking out of that cabin and crying herself to sleep. She would've drank herself into a stupor, but she didn't want to give a child a rougher life than it already was going to have. She started out to the door before she stopped in her tracks. Did she hear Mickey right? She turned around with tears in her eyes as she looked at him. "You love me?" she whispered as she felt the tears streak down her cheeks again. He loved her and he was sober. Jessi felt her heart well up a bit. He loved her. Nobody outside of her parents had ever loved her, including the various partners she had.

She shook her head and closed her eyes as listen to him talk. It was painful having him think that way. She finally took a deep breath as she opened her eyes and looked at him. "I don't hate you," she whispered as she fought back another sob.

He watched her walk away from him, not even bothering to stare at her ass like he usually would. His teary eyes met hers as she turned back to face him. He nodded slowly. He loved her. He was terrified by his feelings. He didn't want them to exist, but gods did he love her.

"Why not? You should." he muttered sadly. "I've been nothing but bad news for you from the start. I don't know how you can't hate me. I mean, I hate me." And he did. He hated how he acted and he hated hating it. He just wanted his emotions to disappear again. Jessi had made him feel again, breaking down the barricades to release a flood.

Tears welled up in Jessi's eyes. He did love her. It wasn't only a drunken confession. He really did love her. She took a deep breath as she looked at Mickey. She shook her head. She really wanted to hate him. It would make things so much simpler, but she couldn't. She couldn't find the energy to hate him. "I don't know," she whispered as she crossed her arms over her chest a little tighter. "I just... I just can't hate you Mickey... I do care about even with all you've done... I just can't bring myself to hate you." She shook her head as she closed her eyes. "I just can't hate you..."

He couldn't believe she didn't hate him. It seemed no matter what he did she would still care. No one had ever cared for him unconditionally and he didn't understand how she could. Mickey watched as she closed her eyes, shaking her head. He just wanted to hold her, but thought Jessi probably wanted him to stay away. Maybe it was best for everyone if he stayed away. Maybe he should just leave camp all together, get back into modelling and send Jessi money for the baby.

"I'm so fucking sorry, Jess... I was just... I didn't want you to leave me so I guess I pushed you away," he mumbled. He wouldn't admit just how terrified he was of losing her. How he wanted to just be a deadbeat and disappear. But maybe the baby could be good for him, give his life some meaning. Gods know it hadn't had any. "I don't know what to do..." he took a deep breath, collecting his thoughts. "Do... do you want me involved?"

Jessi opened her eyes and looked back up at Mickey as she took a deep breath. He looked like a wreck and she felt like one too. She took a step closer to him as she looked him in the eyes. "And I'm sorry I punched you," she said softly as she bit her lower lip nervously. She wanted to cry. This was still all too much for her for one day. Finding out she was pregnant and that Mickey loved her?

She crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at him. "Yes..." she said softly as she looked at him. "I do want you involved... I don't want you to leave Mickey."

He shrugged at her apology. "I'd let you do it again," he muttered. He'd let her kill him in all honestly. His stomach churned at her words. He wanted her there. It would be a dick move to turn her down now. If it wsn't fpr the baby it wouldn't be as hard to stay but... He didn't want a kid tying him down. He couldn't leave Jessi, though.

"Then I'm not going anywhere," he said, gulping. He couldn't make it a promise as there was always the chance he couldn't keep it. He ran a hand through his hair, chewing on his inner cheek. "Should we tell Chiron?" he asked, brow furrowed. He knew there was a full possibility that they'd get in a lot of trouble, possibly even kicked out of camp. I mean, he kinda had knocked a girl up in camp... Oops.

Jessi softly smiled at Mickey as she pressed her lips together. He wasn't going anywhere, but she didn't know if that made them anything. All she knew, Mickey was still her occasional booty and baby daddy. She doubted he wanted to be her boyfriend, especially after she gave him a black eye and potentially a broken nose. But her chest tightened up at the mention of Chiron. "Oh gods," she muttered underneath her breath as she moved to comb her hair back out of her face. "Do we have to tell him?" she asked as she chewed on the corner of her lip. "What if he kicks us out or something? There's nowhere safe for demigod parents-to-be."

His heart fluttered slightly as Jessi showed her beautiful smile. He had made her smile after making her cry so many time. Her smile had probably become one of his favorite things, besides maybe her ass. Not only was her smile gorgeous but it meant that she was happy which made him happy.

"Well we gotta tell him sometime, princess." he pointed out. "I mean, you can't exactly hide your belly forever. It's gonna get big. And we sure as hell can't hide a baby," He smiled slightly at the thought of Jessi having a big pregnant belly, waddling around all grumpy and cute. He was worried, though. This was his home and it had been for years. He had only left a few times and it definitely hadn't been authorized. If they were kicked out... He could support the three of them, but the monsters would complicate things. It'd be so much easier if they were just normal teenagers.

He called her Princess again. That made Jessi smile just a little bit. He didn't remember that she liked the word, but it really didn't matter now. He was her baby daddy now. She looked down at her stomach as she rested a hand on it. It was hard for her to even comprehend that there was even a human child starting to grow inside of her. She look back up at Mickey as she smiled a bit sadly and still chewed on her bottom lip.

"I guess... I guess we should..." she muttered as she looked at him and cringed just a little bit. "And we should probably take you to the infirmary too so they can look at your nose... I think I might have broken it."

Her hand traveled to her stomach, resting on it lightly. There was a baby in there. Not just any baby, but his. His and Jessi's. It made his head spin that they had made something. He couldn't even comprehend it. It's not like she was showing yet or anything. Was it too early to see the baby on an ultrasound? He had no idea. He'd have to ask Dakota and... oh gods she was going to kill him.

"Oh, this?" he asked, gesturing at his face. "Nahh, don't worry 'bout it love. It may be broken but at least my hearts mostly intact. Too bad you stole it." he smirked, closing the space between them in a few strides. He got on his knees, putting his hands on either side of her waist and gently pressing his lips against her stomach. He looked back up at her, smiling lightly. "If we're keeping this baby I wanna make it official. Would you be my girlfriend?"

“But Mickey,” Jessi tried to protest. “You really need to…” But she stopped when he said she stole his heart. She stole his heart. She couldn’t help but feel a little bit giddy from the thought about it as a little bit of a real smile crept onto her lips. And that smile only grew as Mickey closed the gap between them and got down on his knees to kiss her stomach. She wasn’t showing and she was pretty sure she wasn’t going to be showing for another couple of weeks. But what he said after doing that…

Tears welled up in her eyes, but this time it was happy tears. She slowly nodded her head as she smiled down at him. “Yes, Mickey,” she said. “I would love to be your girlfriend.”

He stood up so he could kiss her, long and soft. It had been far too long since he'd gotten to kiss her. He missed the feeling of her lips against his and had to fight himself to pull away. "Good, cause I wasn't taking no for an answer." he murmured before kissing her again. He'd be lying if he said he hadn't kissed other people while they weren't talking. Done a lot more than kiss actually, which was a bit obvious considering how she had found him. But her kiss was his favorite and frankly the only one he wanted.

"I love you so much, Jessi. I'm so sorry for all the shit I pulled. And I swear to try my hardest for you and the baby." he promised softly. He was sorry. He really was. Regret was a fairly new feeling for him. It hurt and he wanted it to go away. He wasn't exactly sure how to get rid of it though, but from what he could gather apologizing was the first step.

Jessi felt the tears streaking down her face as she smiled down at Mickey. He made her cry again, but these were happy tears. Mickey was hers and she was his. Even if their circumstances were completely shitty, something felt right in the world for once. She felt his lips on hers and she kissed him back and smiled against his lips. When he pulled away, Jessi looked up at him as she felt a couple more tears streak down her face.

"Mickey, I..." she started to say, but she got couldn't get the words out. She couldn't say them back like he easily did to her. What was wrong with her? She knew that she loved him, but she couldn't seem to put it into words. "I care so much about you," she finally managed to say as she sheepishly smiled up at him. "And I'm so glad that you're staying with me."

She didn't say it back. She 'cared' about him. He swallowed, trying to act like it didn't bother him. He had opened up and she just... Drop it, Mickey. He'd be lying if he said it didn't hurt. He didn't want to pressure her though. It just hurt that he of all people could say that he loved her and she couldn't. He was the last person you'd expect to do something like that.

"I honestly do think you broke my nose, though." he admitted with a unconvincing smile. "I should probably go see if I can find Dakota to patch me up," maybe get some time to himself to think as well. He had kinda made up his mind about staying for Jessi and the baby and he couldn't exactly turn back on it, but he needed some time to process everything that just happened.
