Cody was alive.

Daven didn't know how or why, but she couldn't help but feel a bit happy about it. Her brother was back. He wasn't acting like himself before he died, but he was still alive. He was alive. And because he was alive, something was awoken in Daven. She pulled out her summery, flowy clothes that she hadn't worn in years. And for once, she put on one of her dresses. However, she still wasn't completely like her old self, so she wear one of dark hoodies over it, but it was still a start.

Daven didn't know what she was doing to do with herself, so she stepped outside of the Persephone cabin onto the porch. She just stood there as she crossed her arms across her chest and just stood there and people watched. At least she was outside of her cabin like Chiron wanted her to be, but she didn't know what she do to keep herself preoccupied.

Jay had decided to go and meet up with Daven, he figured that she'd be by her cabin at this time of the day. Not much was going on other than the usual camp antics but there was still quite a few people walking around, much to his surprise. It was quite a sunny day so the son of Apollo had thrown on some denim blue shorts, accompanied by a white long sleeved t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

Making his way over to the Persephone cabin, Jay glanced around. It was strangely refreshing to see all the activity in the camp. The campers seemed focused but happy at the same time, maybe it was the good weather. Thanks to his father the sun was shining. Then he saw her, standing on the steps to her cabin with her arms crossed. He took a quick glance at her outfit before walking to the side of the steps and leaning forward on the banister, climbing up a small bit too. "Sup Flower Kid." Jay said teasingly with a smirk from the banister. He liked nicknames and that was the first thing that came to mind, even if it was lame.

Daven was so absorbed with people watching that she didn't notice that Jay had approached her. She usually made up backstories to the people she didn't know and she liked playing it out in her head. She was going through a nasty breakup scenario when she heard Jay's voice. She jumped slightly as she turned to face him as a smirk settled onto her face. She heard the nickname and chuckled a bit.

“I see you kept your promise, sunny, ” she said, giving him a nickname of his own, as she took a few steps over to him and tilted her head over to the side. “What are you doing over here anyway?”

Jay laughed a bit when he noticed his friend had jumped after he spoke, he did love making people joke and he wasn't 100% sure that his intention wasn't to make her jump. It seemed like it was since he came from the side but he made her jump even if he didn't want to. Besides, she looked pretty cute when she jumped.

Sunny? He definitely did not approve of that, however with Daven he probably didn't have a choice. "Of course I kept my promise...Also Sunny? That sounds like an orange juice." Jay replied back to her with a smirk as he lifted himself up over the banister so he was on the same side as Daven. "What I'm doing over here is meeting up with you. Wanted to come see how you were doing."

"Well, Sunny is a whole lot better than Flower Kid," Daven said with a little smirk as she watched as Jay hopped over the banister. She thought her nickname was completely more original than his and so what if it reminded him of orange juice? That happened to be one of her favorite fruit juices anyway. But he kept his promise and he was here to see her and check up on her. Which was... the most that anyone had ever done for her since her brother's death. Chiron did check in on her occasionally, but it wasn't the same as having a fellow camper check in on her.

She smiled a bit as she uncrossed her arms and walked over to Jay so she could pull him into a brief hug. "I'm doing okay, thanks," she said as she pulled away from him, but not without giving him a quick peck on the cheek. "How are you doing?"

He supposed Sunny was a lot better than Flower Kid was, Sunny could have just been a play on his middle name. It made sense. So did Flower Kid however, all of Jay's nicknames made sense. "Well I don't know, Flower Kid sounds funny." Jay replied back smirking, taking a look around from his new spot on the steps. The Persephone cabin looked a lot different to the Apollo cabin but it still had the weird wooden structure. Definitely needed some 60 Minute Makeover stuff going on.

His smirk turned into more of a smile when she walked over to him, bringing him into a small hug. He returned the hug, placing his arms round her waist and attempting a little squeeze. Hugs were great. "That's good to hear," Jay replied back softly to her as she pulled away, raising his eyebrow playfully at her peck but not saying anything. It was more of 'yes I acknowledged it and it's totally okay.' "I'm doing good thank you. Sun's out. Dad did good." He continued on, leaning his back against the banister and placing his hands either side of his body.

"At least it's not Flower Girl," Daven said as she shrugged her shoulders a bit. "Then it would sound like I'm part of some bridal party and not even the best part either. I'm the part that has to act cute and maybe sometimes spoils the wedding." She chuckled to herself. "But I can call you Orange Juice instead if you really don't like Sunny, but I prefer Sunny though."

Daven did take a risk when she pecked Jay on the cheek, but she thought it was worth it. She liked Jay even though he managed to dunk her in the lake twice during the first time they met. However, clothes could easily dry and they were far away from the lake so things were boding well for her. Once the pulled away from the hug, Daven caught Jay's eyebrow raise and her face heated up slightly, but not as badly. Once they were done with their hug, Daven crossed her arms over her chest before glancing up into the sky when Jay mentioned the sun.

"Your dad did really good," Daven agreed as she turned back to look at Jay. "So what have you been up to? Have you thrown anybody into the lake recently?"

Jay couldn't help but laugh when she made up her own little story about being the cute girl at the weddings who somehow ends up ruining said wedding. It was funny to picture it and now he would definitely continue calling her Flower Kid. "First of all, that's a really cute image. Secondly, Sunny is fine." He replied back to her with a shrug, bringing a hand up and scratching the back of his head briefly before focusing his attention back on his friend.

Again, her cheeks heated up. They had a tendency to do that and Jay was beginning to think it was a condition or something, either that or she just embarrassed very easily. He shook his head in reply to Daven's question, so far he hadn't even thrown that many people into the lake. It was only her. It wasn't something he did as a habit, despite her teasing. "I've just been doing some training, cleaned the cabin. But no. I haven't thrown anyone in the lake...Buttt I haven't been down there with you since last time." He teased back to her, winking at her before laughing. "What about you? Been doing anything fun?"

"It's not a very cute image," she said with a bit of a smirk. "You should see the videos they have online. Some of them are monstrous." Daven nodded her head to herself when Jay said that he was okay with Sunny. Not that Daven was going to listen to his wishes anyway. She thought that Sunny was a cleaver nickname and she was going to keep using it even if he had no complaints about it. But he had no complaints about it, which made everything easier in Daven's life.

But he hadn't been to the lake recently, which nobody was thrown into there lately. Which could've been a good thing. She shrugged her shoulders as he asked if she was up to anything. But she caught his wink and she tried not to blush, but it was probably a losing battle. "Not really, honestly," she said with a bit of a sad smile. "I've been just hanging around the cabin with occasional excursions to the mess hall or the arena or whatever.

"Is quite cute still." Jay corrected her, even though she had just gone on to try and prove how it wasn't with online videos. It doesn't matter what Daven said back to him, he'd find it cute. Daven was cute without the whole 'flower girl' imagery so the chances of Daven winning this debate were pretty slim.

"So you've been hanging around having all this fun without me?" Jay asked her teasingly, sticking his tongue out before ending up laughing a little. "Oh by the way, nice outfit going on here. Really cute." Jay continued on with a smile, his words were tinted with some sarcasm but in reality, he genuinely did think she looked cute. He had a thing for girls in hoodies, it made them look cute as Tartarus. Besides they were comfortable for cuddling. More perks. Easy on the eye and easy on the body during cuddling.

"So much fun without you," Daven said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes again. "I've been having a blast since I'm not getting thrown into lakes and such." Of course, that day on the lake was the most fun she'd had in a while. She usually stuck to her cabin and she had few siblings and she hadn't seen Mel in a while. But now that she had Jay as a friend, at least she could look forward to getting out of her cabin for once.

But he complimented her outfit. Yes, there was a hint of sarcasm in there, but Daven could tell that it was meant as a compliment. Her face heated up again as she looked off to the side. "Thanks," she muttered as she took a deep breath as she looked back at him and smiled at him. And then she realized she was slightly rude before she pointed to the door of her cabin. "Do you want to come in? If you want to, I mean."

The sarcasm that was being directed to him from Daven was totally unnecessary. Funny but unnecessary. He laughed and looked around before his eyes fell back on her, "Right, you can lose the sass. Thank you very much." He replied back to her, rolling his eyes. He wasn't annoyed at all but he just liked to pretend he could tell people what to do sometimes. "You deserved to go in that lake. You secretly did love it."

"My pleasure, Flower Kid." Jay replied back to her, giving her a nod as she thanked him for his compliment. He also noticed the way she looked away when she blushed beforehand, a common thing with Daven. Jay glanced over at the cabin when she offered him to go inside and then shrugged, standing up straight. "Sure." He replied back with a smile, he'd never been inside the Persephone cabin, despite the fact he was friends with Mel. So this should be interesting.

"And you deserved to go in that lake as well," Daven snipped back as she tilted her head to the side as she eyed him. "Probably more so than before. Before you were just annoying. And now..." She laughed and shook her head. She liked that day in the lake and she liked many aspects of that day. She just didn't like the physical aspect of being thrown into the lake not once, but twice.

But he wanted to see the inside of her cabin. She figured he'd would since he never was there while she was in the cabin. Did he even see the inside? But Daven nodded her head as she walked towards the cabin door to open it and let him in. "Here's home sweet home," she said with a little bit of a smirk.

"Excuse me? I did not deserve to go into that lake, I am a kind guy." Jay replied back to her, laughing a little as he held his hand to his chest pretending to be upset. When in reality, he knew he definitely deserved to go into that lake just as much as she had deserved to go in for testing him. He was not annoying at all, he was simply just being nice. Kind of. "I'm not annoying, you're annoying." Jay replied, sounding about as immature as he actually is.

Jay walked into the cabin, looking around a little. It was a nice looking cabin if he said so himself, it seemed cosy almost too. "It's nice..." He said quietly, turning around to face Daven as he took a couple steps back. "So first you jump into a lake with me...Now you're already inviting me to your cabin? What're you trying to get out?" Jay smirked as he spoke his words, yes he was flirting. Did he care? Nope. Not at all. He had to make at least one comment. For old times sake.

“Kind of annoying,” Daven corrected as she rolled her eyes again. But then he said that she was annoying and she chuckled to herself. “That's what annoying people would say. You still deserved that trip into the lake.” And Daven was going to stand by that. No amount of convincing would not change her mind.

But once they were inside her cabin, Jay tried to imply something between the two of them. Daven raised her eyebrows before she laughed and shook her head. “The first one was because you were annoying and now it's because I'm nice.” She smirked a bit. “However, if I invited you to netflix and chill, that would be a different story.”
