[Hailey Nichols]

Hailey couldn't help but look forward to this game night with Theo. She managed to stay pretty busy with Genie and their chariot making up until now, so she hadn't gotten the chance to see him since the night in his cabin. But tonight was their game night and Hailey couldn't help but feel just a little bit nervous. She dressed up a lot nicer than usual and checked with her siblings several times to make sure that it wasn't overkill. But once she decided she looked decent enough, she gathered the board games she selected. It was a curated collection of Candyland, Pretty Pretty Princess, and Monopoly. She knew two out of the three games could guarantee a pretty fun night. With one last check in the mirror, she grabbed the broom along with her games and headed out the door.

And she immediately became nervous. Her heart was beating in her chest and she was pretty sure she wanted to puke. Was this a bad idea? It had to be a super bad idea, but yet her feet kept moving towards the Hecate cabin. Maybe Theo forgot... maybe he wasn't home and Hailey could just go back to her cabin and forget about this entire night they had planned. Maybe things could be okay...

But she got onto the porch of the cabin and from the looks of it, someone was inside. Maybe Theo was here. Maybe he wasn't. But Hailey couldn't chicken out now. She took a deep breath before she knocked on the cabin door.

It was finally game night. Theo wasn’t really sure what to expect out of tonight but one thing was for sure, he was looking forward to it. If the games Hailey really had in mind were anything like the 'games' they had played earlier in the week then Theo thought that this would turn out to be a very eventful evening. Granted he usually enjoyed Hailey's company and it was nothing against any of the board games they had agreed on bringing earlier but that first night they had shared together had been nothing short of amazing.

He wondered what it was really going to be. Strip Candyland? A game of Pretty, Pretty Princess where he ended up in just a crown? Or would it be another game of doctor? Theo had no idea but he had seen a side of Hailey that night that he really liked and hoped he got a chance to see it again before the night was through. Maybe this time since the event was a little more planned she would even decide to stick around until morning instead of leaving him to wake up alone. Nobody liked that.

Theo's mind wasn't just on the sex of course. That was a pretty big part of it but he did really want to see her again. Since that night they had slept together the Hephaestus girl had been incredibly hard to find. He wasn't sure what she had been up to but getting to see her again was definitely a good thing. Fortunately he wouldn't have to wait much longer.

As if summoned by his thoughts a knock on the door signaled that his wait was over. Smirking and putting on as much swagger as he thought the situation called for Theo made his way over to the door and swung it open to see her there. "Well hey there Hailey. Long time no see. Sorry about the lack of fireworks but I'm still seeing some from the other night so hopefully you'll give me a pass this time."

Hailey heard footsteps from inside the cabin walking towards the door and she prepared herself for either Saphron opening the door or the confetti and streamers that Theo promised. She got neither. Instead, she just got Theo. No dramatics. No nothing. It was... quite out of the ordinary. "So no show today? I even brought the broom!" she said as she looked him over, making sure he looked like he was feeling alright. But she looked up at him in the eyes as he mentioned fireworks. When did he play with dangerous explosives? Something was completely off, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

"Fireworks?" she repeated as she blinked a couple of times. "Are you doing okay?" If he was trying to hit on her, it was going completely over her head. She shook her head trying to pus that thought out of her head as she looked down at the board games in her hands. "I brought Candyland and Pretty Pretty Princess like I promised," she said as she looked up at him. "But I also brought Monopoly in case we needed a little bit of grown up fun."

Theo chuckled a little when his joke obviously fell short but the sound of his laughter was a bit empty and false. Why had she not gotten his joke and why did she look like she had no idea what he was talking about? It was enough to throw him off his game a little but in typical Theo fashion the Hecate boy was as quick to recover as ever. Besides, maybe she wasn't in the same mood she was the other night or something like that. It would be unfortunate but at least he could understand and it didn't mean that he would enjoy her company any less.

"Yeah I'm doing alright I've been looking forward to this all week believe it or not." He fell into his easy, good humored smile figuring that Hailey had probably just misspoke or something. In any case her next statement gave him some hope for later. "Grown up fun hmm? Sounds pretty intriguing. I guess we probably should save that for last though unless you had other plans." He knew what kind of plans he wanted her to have but was willing to be patient. She was worth waiting for after all. "In any case I've got some snacks for us as promised. Plenty to keep our energy up for that grown up fun later."

Hailey was still completely confused by Theo's behavior. He had been flirty in the past, but he hadn't implied anything before now except for maybe kissing. But he was looking forward to this too? She wasn't the only one? Hailey couldn't help but duck her head and nodded her head slightly. "I was looking forward to this too," she said as she blushed slightly. She looked back at him as she smiled slightly. But grown up fun? Was he expecting something more than monopoly? Her face heated up a bit more before she nodded her head inside. "Yeah... umm... Monopoly can be very... tiring?" she squeaked before she cleared her throat. "May I come in?" she asked as she hoped things will stay pretty innocent for now.

Theo wasn't sure if Hailey was insinuating something or not but he chuckled a little all the same. "Well if it's anything like what we tried last time I can definitely agree with that. You certainly know how to wear a guy out." Grinning, still not fully catching on to the fact that something was different Theo opened the door a little more for her but instead of letting her come in on her own he reached out, hands immediately going to Hailey's waist, and tugged her inside and closer to him. He knew what would fix Hailey up and break the ice for them. She just needed a little reminder of the fun they had a few nights ago. That would set everything right.

"Gods I've missed you." He said as he held her against him. She felt good there and he hoped that he wasn't the only one who felt that way. "You know, I can think of a better way to say hello and maybe this will provide us with a little encouragement to stay awake until later." With that said Theo licked his lips and leaned in for a hello kiss.

Last time? Hailey thought to herself as she gave Theo a completely confused look. The last time she saw him, she gave him a stuffed jackalope as he proceeded to tease her to the point where she thought she was going to die of blushing. Unless her memory was completely failing her, there was nothing from that day that was completely tiring or wearing. He had to be completely imagining things, unless all that magic messed with his head more than she thought. She moved to go inside the cabin, but she was completely caught off guard.

He had his hands on her waist and he pulled her up against him. She looked up at him wide eyed as she wondered what had gotten into him at that moment. But she noticed how close his lips were to hers and her face heated up more as she looked up at him at the time to catch him lick his lips and lean in towards her. She panicked and she tried to turn her head so his lips would get her cheek instead, but she was took slow and he caught the corner of her lips. She turned her head back towards him as she froze as he felt his lips on hers. He was kissing her. He was kissing her. Her instincts took over for a moment before she pulled away from his lips with an intense blush on her face.

"I... ummm..." she tried to stuttered out as she tried to pull her thoughts together about what just happened.

Was that panic that he saw in her eyes when he leaned in? Surely not. After everything they had done together he would have thought all the nerves would have been worked out between them. Besides, if he remembered correctly she certainly hadn’t been shy about kissing him and he had plenty of evidence to back that up so surely they weren’t regressing here. However, when he moved closer she did turn away from him just enough to make him wonder.

Maybe she was having second thoughts about them. He had known girls that would do that. Give in to a guy one moment and then be ashamed about it later. Theo had never really understood it himself but he supposed that could be the case here. If so he would have to find a way to let her known that there was nothing to be ashamed of. They were two people just having a lot of fun. It happened all the time and it wasn’t like they didn’t like each other. Still, something seemed off here. That didn’t stop him from continuing the kiss when she turned back to him though.

Eventually Hailey broke their contact and when Theo looked at her he saw a curious expression on her face. The Hecate boy smiled a little unsure of himself and he tried to move a hand to brush a strand of hair out of her face. “Hey now, what’s wrong? You aren’t getting shy on me again are you because I thought we had worked through all of this?”

I thought we had worked through all of this? Hailey turned back at Theo and blinked up at him. They worked through something? Since when? Her face heated up more as he brushed a strand of hair out of her face. Was bringing someone a stuff jackalope a new kink or did it signal that the person wanted to get it on? If that was the case, then Hailey was a jackalope for far too long. She took a step back away from Theo as she shook her head.

"I... Theo... I..." she stuttered out as her face seemed to get even redder. "I don't understand," she finally blurted out as she shook her head. "I only gave you a stuffed jackalope, which was a very cheesy gesture." She pressed her lips together as she looked up at him. "I don't understand how that qualifies as working through things?"

This was wrong. Theo didn't know what had changed but the way Hailey was acting was really...well like she didn't even know what he was talking about. What was going on? He certainly thought they had a good time. Granted she did cut out on him early and that could have been a sign she didn't but still, one bad or regretted night was no reason to pretend like the whole thing had never happened. What was she thinking?

Hailey was pulling away from him though and judging by the expression that she had on her face Theo thought it would be a good idea to let her. "The jackalope?" He said with an unbelieving chuckle. "This isn't about the jackalope. Gods Hailey you gave me a whole lot more than a stuffed jackalope. Stuffing the jackalope is more like it." It probably wasn't the best time for his pesky sense of humor to show itself but he was a creature of habit and besides that he was a little upset that she would just blow their time together off like that. “Look if you’re having second thoughts now I’m sorry. Maybe I should have tried a little harder to get you to hold on and think about things but if you’ll remember it was you who came on to me.”

As Hailey looked up at Theo, she could feel the tears well up in her eyes. He had to be completely delusional. This wasn't the Theo she knew at all. He never acted like this every time she ran into him up until now. And now he thought he went all the way with her? She blinked back the tears as she shook her head. "You have to be imagining things, but I have never slept with you. Hell, I think I would remember that happening."

She closed her eyes as she felt a couple of tears streak down her cheeks. "Theo..." she managed to say before she choked back a sob. She took a deep breath as she shook her head. "I'm sorry..." she backed away from him, still using the board games in her hands as a physical barrier and a tear catcher. "I don't think we should have our game night anymore..."

Theo couldn't believe this he had seen people do some pretty messed up stuff to each other over the years, it was one of the reasons he had such a poor opinion of committed relationships, but he had never known anyone to just ignore that something happened. They weren't even drunk, at least Theo wasn't, so what was Hailey's excuse? Just block out the memory and hope it went away? Things didn't work like that and no matter how much Hailey wanted to ignore it they did sleep together. Theo was sure of it.

This was too much. Theo wasn't a guy to get angry especially not something as silly as a little sex but he had never had anyone try something like this before. "So I'm imagining things? You're the only one with a firm grasp on reality here? Well Hailey I hate to tell you but unless you've got an identical twin running around here that I don't know about then you better start going through your memories because I clearly remember a certain jackalope girl being all over me and she didn't seem to have any memory problems or second thoughts then."

Theo shook his head. He needed to stop before he said something truly stupid but right now he couldn't help himself. This was simply too wild and he felt like at least one of them was taking crazy pills. "Look, maybe you're right. If that's really how you want to play things then it might be a good idea to call things off. Obviously you've got your own stuff going on here but I guess if you're really that willing to burn bridges you should probably find someone that isn't going to be effected by your charms to help you get over all those transformation side effects."

Well Hailey I hate to tell you but unless you've got an identical twin running around here... Hailey froze dead in her tracks when she heard that. Identical twin. Identical twin. "Oh my gods..." she muttered underneath her breath as everything else Theo was saying was drowned out by the ringing in her ears and the blood rushing through them. Identical twin. Was it even possible? She was supposed to dead. Long dead. Years dead. However, she heard of campers coming back when they were presumed to be dead. Was she possibly one of them?

Hailey didn't know how to possibly comprehend it all and she seemed to lose control of her hands as she dropped the board games onto the floor and their contents spilled everywhere. Identical twin. She looked at Theo as her mouth opened and closed a couple of times. She was probably looking like she was crazy to him and, honestly, she was feeling crazy. She never thought in her wildest dreams that this would ever happen to her.

"Theo... I..." she stuttered out as she tried to collect her thoughts, which were going a million miles per minute in her mind. "I have... had a twin..." She sighed as she moved to push her hair out of her face and grip it slightly. "Her name is... was Hannah. We are... were identical twins." She pressed her lips together as she looked at him, wondering if he was buying it. "She died over a year ago after a monster attack in the forest." She lowered her hands as her voice dropped to a barely audible, "Is she alive again? Oh gods..."

Theo wasn't sure what he expected out of Hailey. Part of him wanted to make the girl mad because he was mad and he couldn't understand why she was doing this. Still, another part of knew this wasn't really like her and that something else was going on here but at the moment that seemed unimportant. Despite his own emotions coming into play however he surely never expected her to say what she did and the thought of that stopped his anger dead in its tracks when he heard it.

Hailey began talking about how she had a twin, an identical one no less, and for some reason she kept switching between talking about her as if she was in the past and as if she was still around. It wasn't making any sense but it did make Theo's blood run cold at the very thought. A twin...Hailey had a twin. That wasn't right, that couldn't be right. Why hadn't he seen her before? Why hadn't she mentioned her before? What in Hades was going on here?

Theo put a hand to his head as Hailey continued to explain about her twin sister dying in a monster attack but by the time she began to question whether her sister was really alive or not he was already lost in his own thoughts again and barely heard her. This couldn't be right. It was something that happened in a Soap Opera on TV not in real life and yet here they were with Hailey acting like she had no idea of something that clearly happened. Which made more sense that Hailey would try to forget the night they shared or that something more sinister was going on here? Still, he knew Hailey didn't he? He was sure it was her wasn't he?


Theo stepped away from her to find a seat in a nearby chair and practically collapsed down into it. He suddenly realized that he had his doubts even from the beginning. Hailey hadn't been acting like herself and he had known it but he got caught up in the moment, pushed those concerns to the side and...got carried away. "It was you. I know i was you." He didn't want to admit it but even those words couldn't help to answer those lingering doubts and if they didn't what did that mean he had done? "Hailey... I...This can't be right."

Hannah was alive. That was the only way that Hailey could explain everything that was going on right at that moment. Hannah was alive and she was out to get her vengeance. Hailey knew that Hannah was upset when she was joined the Hunters originally, but was she that upset to take it out on everyone she knew? If they hadn't seen the twins together before, it was hard to spot the differences between the two. The one little trap that got Theo.

She chewed on her bottom lip as tears welled up in her eyes as she looked down at the floor at all the scattered game pieces. She pushed a Candyland token with her foot before she looked up at Theo as he spoke. As far as she could tell, he wasn't taking the news all that well and seemed to be in denial. Hailey shook her head and closed her eyes as a single tear streaked down her face.

"It wasn't me," she said as her voice cracked a bit. She cleared her throat as she looked up at Theo. "It wasn't me... you have to believe me. Because Hannah..." She pressed her lips together as she glanced off to the side. "Hannah's... diabolical. She's evil. And she would've used you if she knew about... us." She looked back over at him as the tears streaked down her face more. "I am so sorry," she whispered.
