[Colt Elliot]

Tonight was the night. It was Saturday night and that meant only one thing: his date with Ebonie. He hadn't really seen her all week, but he thought about her and made sure that this night was going to be a good one. He partially felt bad that she had to live in the Big House with Chiron, who seemed to be grumpy most of the time. So he was bound and determined to make sure that she had a good time and a hell of a date.

He dressed up nice in his suit and tie. He had his hair combed back and he was neatly groomed. He knew how to dress up and he wanted to make sure that he didn't disappoint the future oracle. There was little extra bounce in his step as he strode towards the Big House. He hoped she'd be ready by now, since he didn't want to spend his evening chilling with Chiron. Once he got to the steps of the porch, he knocked on the front door and waited for someone to answer.

Ebonie wasn't entirely comfortable in the dress that had been found by her a friend Kevin from the Hermes cabin. It was short in the front but long in the back with a neckline that was, thankfully, not too low. The top was a corset type and she couldn't deny that she looked rather incredible in the entire ensemble, hair make up and all. It didn't really play at who she was, not in the least, but it was a sight to see. She waited near the front door the Big House, not really wanting to make Colt wait when he arrived.

As the knock on the door came she opened it perhaps a little too quickly and stood there, unable to speak for a moment as she took him in in that suit. "Maybe I overdressed," she finally joked.

Colt wasn't waiting for too long before the door breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't have to hang out with Chiron. Ebonie was there and she looked stunning. He let out a low whistle as he admired her as a big smile crept onto his face. He looked up at her as he chuckled a bit. "I don't think you're overdressed. I think I might be under dressed." He thought he was perfectly dressed for what he had planned, but next to Ebonie? Now he was wondering if he should set up their date a little bit.

But he extended his elbow for her to take as he raised an eyebrow at her. "You ready to get started with our date?"

At the sound of his whistle she felt her cheeks redden even more and knew there was no way she could stop them. Aw well, such was life. Then he commented on how he may be under dressed and her eyes widened with horror. Luckily, he extended his arm and asked if she was ready to go. She stepped down to link her arm through his. "I am ready, good sir. As long as this doesn't involve any running we'll be in good shape," she commented, looking down at her shoes for a moment. "You look amazing, by the way. Not underdressed. Amazing," she blushed even more as she realized she was repeating herself.

Colt laughed a bit at Ebonie's joke. Was there going to be running involved? Physically, no. But probably her head and heart would be running or at least that's what Colt hoped for by the end of the date. But he couldn't lie and say that Ebonie wasn't stunning at that moment and he hoped that she would like what he had planned out for them. He smirked once her arm was linked with his before he led her towards the beach. Everything should be ready for them by the time they arrived. It was going to be absolutely perfect and he hoped she thought the same way too. "So how have you been since I last saw you?" he asked as he looked down at her.

As they walked towards the beach Ebonie kept switching between glancing at him or looking up at the setting sun. She had no idea what he had planned but that was kind of exciting. Normally Ebonie wasn't one for surprised but, for once, she actually liked the feeling of anticipation. It wasn't as frightening as it usually felt. It was excited, exhilarating and unexpected. Then he spoke and she smiled up at him. "I've been pretty good. I mean, just talking to Ghosts and Chiron mostly," she rolled her eyes. What an exciting life she lived training to be the Oracle. She shrugged, "it's not all bad. I mean, it's an important gift so I guess it makes sense that I'd have to do a lot of training for it even if that training can get pretty damn boring sometimes and it's all about responsibility and making good choices and acting like an adult and-" she stopped, realizing that she was started to ramble. She blushed, "anyway. I've been fine. You?"

“So in other words, you've only been hanging out with boring people,” Colt said with a slight chuckle as he shook his head. “Good thing I swooped in to spice things up.” He looked over at her with a bit of a smirk. “I've been good too. I've been busy with planning our date. And there it is.”

As they were taking, they managed to make it to the beach where the date was set up. There was a blanket set out with pillows and food while there was a projector a little bit in front of it so they could watch a movie. “You like?” he asked as he looked down at her again.

She blushed and nodded as he confirmed that she was only hanging out with boring people, and that he was there to spice things up. "Well, thank God for that," she gave him her own smirk. She was getting better at all this... right? She laughed as he said he was busy planning their date, and turned her attention toward it when mentioned.

They were on the beach and before them was a blanket with pillows, food, and a projector. She grinned, turning to look at him, "like? It's amazing! Ooh, we're going to have so much fun!" her giddy hyperness was coming out again and she grabbed his hand, practically running to the blanket and then plopping down upon reaching it, sitting up on her feet, knees bent underneath her. "What's first? Food? Movie? Both?"

It was a very good thing that Colt swooped in to save the day. He couldn’t imagine being around Chiron and that creepy oracle all day, let alone being forced to do it. But that was all about to change and Colt was going to make sure that Ebonie had the night of her life. And she needed it too, since he knew he would be bored out of his mind being around the Big House all day every day.

But he had a feeling it wouldn’t be too hard to entertain her with how she reacted to the date set up on the beach. He chuckled to himself as she took his hand and dragged him to the blankets as she plopped down. He admired her for a moment before he sat down beside her. “That would be up to you, I think,” he said with a slight chuckle in his voice. “We’ll do it in whatever order you want to do it in.”

He left the order of things up to her and she pursed her lips in thought, looking to the food and the screen and back again. Then she looked to him and grinned, "food first. That way we can... watch the movie more comfortably," what, was she implying cuddling with him? Sure, sure she was. Ebonie had never really had much of a chance to flirt before this guy so she didn't even know if she was into that kind of thing, but apparently she was. Or maybe he just brought that side of people out when he was with them. Either way, she was having fun, and she chose to ignore the first rule of being the oracle. The whole no dating thing. But, eh, she wasn't the Oracle yet, right?

"Food we can do," Colt said as he reached over to the basket and pulled out a couple of gourmet sandwiches along with other goodies to go with them. "Is there anything you prefer? Turkey? Ham? Roast beef? I made sure that these are better than the ones that mess hall makes." He got her hint of wanting to cuddle later and he was all about it. Cuddling while watching a movie. That was something he could definitely look forward to. He handed food over to Ebonie before he grabbed food for himself and started chowing down. "How do you like it?" he asked between bites of food.

Ebonie leaned forward as he offered sandwiches and nodded, "rost beef, please!" she said, grinning as he handed it to her. At his question while they ate, she nodded, "it's great! Where did you get them? Did you make them yourself?" she raised her eyebrows rapidly back and forth, making her face look a bit goofy.

She had her fair share of picnics, sure, but never one like this. Never on the beach, never without an entourage, and certainly never with a boy. She had sandwhiches made by maids and butlers, but never by her parents or a friend. It was a whole new world, no just because of the God situation.

She was a roast beef kind of girl? That kind of surprised Colt, but he kept in mind for future dates. He liked Ebonie or at least what he knew of her so far and thought that he could possibly squeeze in a couple more dates with her before she became some boring ole oracle. But he handed over the sandwich and watched her out of the corner of his eye as he ate. But he smiled a bit when she asked him if he made them himself. He chuckled as he nodded his head slightly. "Yeah... sandwiches and cereal are my two specialties, so you're quite spoiled right now," he said as he smiled at her before turning back to eat his food.

She laughed as he mentioned cereal being a specialty as well and smiled, "well, aren't I a lucky girl? I'll have to try that cereal some time," she teased. She finished up her sandwich and took a sip of her drink to wash it down. She turned back to Colt once she was finished, "I'd make something for you but, sadly, I don't have much practice." She frowned slightly at this. She really should have tried to be a little more independent as a child but... when you're raised a certain way it's hard to break out of it, even if all the money was drug money.

“I'll warn you now,” Colt said with a chuckle. “Once you try my cereal, you won't be going back to normal cereal anytime soon.” He was kidding, of course, but he figured he could play up what he lacked in culinary skills. Colt was going to take another bite of his sandwich, but he paused. She never had practice in the kitchen? What was up with his oracle? First no fun and she couldn't cook. At least Colt could attempt to fend for himself. “Ya know,” he said as he lowered his sandwich and looked over Ebonie. “It's not that hard to break into the kitchens and I'm pretty sure I can find someone to teach us how to cook.”
