Wake up call | Hailey

[Theo Dean]

“Honey, I’m home.” Theo said as he walked into his room and glanced at the form of the girl who was fast asleep in his bed. Hailey was still where he had left her this morning when he slipped out to get them some breakfast. Cuddled under his sheets and looking content and peaceful it had been a wonder that he had been able to get away from the girl at all but he was hungry and knew she would be too when she woke so desperate times called for desperate measures.

“Rise and shine bunny girl. Keep sleeping like that and you’re going to miss out on half the day. Besides, I got you something to eat.” Theo grinned and floated a cup of orange juice and a bagel over to sit beside her on his night stand. Hopefully she liked what he picked out. He wasn’t too big on breakfast himself aside from coffee but after the night they had he needed some way to keep his energy up and imagined she did too. That said she did look pretty cute when she was sleeping and it was a shame that he had to disturb her. “Of course there a few interesting ways I could wake you up too so you’ve been warned.”

Hailey was vaguely aware that she was the only one occupying the bed for a little bit and she moved over to Theo's warm spot in her sleep. She was pretty worn out from the night before, but when wasn't she worn out whenever she spent the night with Theo? She usually slept pretty hard with him around, but she stirred a bit as she heard his voice calling out to her. She rolled over in the bed so she was facing the voice as cracked her eyes open a bit. He was dressed and it looked like he had gotten them breakfast.

She picked her head up the pillow a little bit more to see what he had before she rested back on the pillow. She curled up in the sheets and muttered something about a few more minutes as she tried to get a few more minutes of sleep.

“Alright, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Grinning from ear to ear Theo made his way over to the bed. He supposed he could have been sweet and tried waking her up with a kiss or something but where was the fun in that? Besides, how could he waste a perfectly good opportunity when she was so vulnerable? It served her right for not listening to his warning after all.

Even covered in his sheets Theo could pick out a few spots that he knew might do the trick and why not? This wasn’t his first night with Hailey and since they had begun their relationship Theo had spent enough time exploring all the places she liked. A few of which had other effects as well. Leaning over her he silently stretched out his hands not wanting to wake her too early now that the idea had occurred to him and then, without warning, he attacked her with tickles that were sure to get a reaction out of her.

Hailey might've heard his warning, but she really didn't care at the moment. To her, she was getting a few more extra minutes of sleep, especially with how Theo worn her out the night before. She curled up in the sheets and relaxed as she tried to drift back off to sleep. Everything seemed perfect at that moment... until the tickles attacked.

Her eyes immediately opened as she squealed and curled up into the fetal position. Usually, this sounded like a good plan, but her most ticklish spots were her sides and her feet, which couldn't be protected from this tickle attack. She squirmed and giggled as she tried to survive this ambush. "Theo!" she squealed between her giggles. "I'm awake! I'm awake!"

Theo’s plan worked perfectly and as soon as he attacked he got the desired response. The girl jumped and squirmed and squealed under his assault as he moved from her sides to her feet and even after she woke up enough to yell at him he kept going for a few minutes just because he liked hearing her laugh. Of course he might get slapped or kicked a little later but it would all be worth it. Besides, at least she was awake now and that’s really what he had wanted all along.

“Alright, alright I guess you’ve had enough.” He said as he gave her a few more parting tickles before he was through. “Who knew you could be such a heavy sleeper?” Theo grinned a mischievous grin as he sat on the edge of the bed and looked down at her finally giving her some relief. “Morning beautiful. Did you sleep well?”

Even though she was completely awake, but the tickle attack continued for a few more moments. Hailey was giggling and squirming trying to get away from his hands, but he seemed to have a good hold on her tickle spots. But soon as the attacks stopped, she stayed curled up for a few more seconds to make sure it was completely over before she stretched out in the sheets once more. She looked up at him as she moved to sit up in the bed. Her face flushed a bit as he called her beautiful as she reached up to comb her fingers through her hair, since she didn't know what kind of disastrous state it was in.

"I slept okay," she said before she glanced over at the nightstand to see the bagel and orange juice. "You went out to get breakfast?" she asked as she turned back to look at him.

Theo watched her go through her wake up routine enjoying the view as she first curled up not trusting that he was truly done and then finally set up in bed. "Yeah I was pretty hungry and I figured that after you woke up you probably would be too." He smiled and brushed a strand of hair that she had missed out of her face. "After all we did have a lot of fun last night. At one point I wasn't even your my silence spell was going to be able to keep things quiet which I will probably be hearing from Saphron about if I know her."

Theo tried to be respectful of his siblings but things with Hailey always had a way of getting pretty wild. He liked that about her but it did make sleeping arrangements a bit difficult sometimes. That said he wasn't planning on letting any of that dissuade him and Hailey from having fun any time soon. "Eat up though. It's part of a balanced breakfast and just the thing bunny girls like you need to wake up in the mornings...well in addition to waking up to a few tickles that is."

Hailey's face completely heated up as Theo brushed a strand of hair out of her face. Not because of the simple act. Oh no. It was because apparently she was very loud last night. Things did get heated up and Hailey tended to be a little bit more vocal during those times. "I hope your sister was able to get a little bit of sleep," she said with a bit of a nervous smile. "You don't think she hates me, do you?" She couldn't help but wonder a bit, especially since this relationship she had with Theo was new territory for her, but fun territory.

But Theo was right, she was hungry and she figured that she might as well eat now before she got preoccupied with something. She grabbed nearest shirt she could find and slipped it on before she swung her legs so they were dangling off the edge. She grabbed the bagel and orange juice and started eating as she shot him a side glance. "I think I could do without the tickles," she said with a shrug as she ate her breakfast.

“Oh I’m sure she’s fine.” Theo said with a confidence that he wasn’t sure he felt. His magic was strong but one slip up and he had no doubt that Saphron would give him a mouth full and probably a bit more about his evening activities. Hailey would probably never hear anything about it though…probably…and he wasn’t going to tell her if he did get in trouble so there was no need to worry her unnecessarily. All Hailey needed to worry about was being herself. Theo could take care of the rest. “As for hating you I don’t think anyone could hate you bunny girl. You’re too cute and I would be having none of it.”

He chuckled as she shot him a glance because of his wake up call. She wasn’t mad at him, not really but it was fun to tease her in whatever way he could. Her reactions were always something that he enjoyed immensely and they were never hard to come by either which made his efforts all the more rewarding. “Do without tickles? Where would the fun be in that? And you would still be asleep too leaving me all by myself. You wouldn’t want that would you?" He grinned at her playfully as she ate knowing full well that if she didn’t enjoy his teasing she wouldn’t have put up with it but she did and that meant one thing. “Besides, I know you secretly like that and other things my hands can do.”

"You'd be surprised," Hailey said with a nervous chuckle as she slowly at her breakfast. "I managed to get a goddess pissed at me. I have no doubt it would take less to get a demigod or even a mortal mad at me." But she wasn't going to let it bother her too much at the moment. She did get the impression that Saphron was not one of those who would get her revenge eventually, because if she remembered correctly, she wanted to get back at Theo after that first night she was human. She did wonder if she ever got her revenge, but she didn't have time to worry about that right now, especially with Theo teasing her.

Her face immediately turned scarlet at the mention of his hands. She knew exactly what his hands could do quite well, but he fact that he was mentioning it right now... She turned away from him just as her nose decided to twitch which added to her embarrassment. She knew that Theo was probably enjoying this immensely. "Maybe?" she squeaked out in response as her face only seemed to get redder.

Enjoy it Theo did knowing that she had turned around to hide her embarrassment. He just couldn't help himself. With his sarcastic nature and his tendency to tease those he liked Hailey was just too easy of a target to miss. It didn't mean he had to be a complete jerk however and there was no better way to prove that than by following up his frequent attacks with a bit of sweetness as well so without saying a word he leaned in and gave her a kiss as she finished eating. It wasn't as passionate as the ones they had shared last night, at least not yet, but it was gentle and loving and enough of a distraction for him to fall back into bed with her.

When the kiss was over he relaxed against his pillow with her there beside him. "Just maybe? That's not what I remember from last night." His grin returned and he let those hands go exploring down to the bottom of the shirt she had put on. One of his shirts as a matter of fact and he liked how she looked in it. "I seem to remember someone wanting 'More, more, yes Theo more'." He let his hands drift down to her butt and give it a little squeeze. She may not have used those exact words but she had enjoyed herself, he had too and he wouldn't deny looking forward to many more nights like that. "Seriously though I am glad you're happy. It's good to see."

Hailey was pretty sure that she was going to die from embarrassment. But, then again, she always thought that whenever she was around Theo and she didn't die yet. But her face was pretty heated when she finally finished off her breakfast. She ate it rather quickly in order to avoid whatever teasing Theo could think of. She turned around to look at him before she found his lips on hers. It was definitely more of an innocent kiss that they had shared, but it was still a good one. It was good enough for Hailey to close her eyes and fall back into bed with Theo.

Once it was over, she just laid there next to Theo as she looked at him with half-hooded eyes. She was still kind of tired, but she didn't dare try to sleep some more at the risk of more tickles. But his teasing resumed and her face heated up more as her nose twitched. More? Did she really say that last night? She didn't remember harder and faster, but more was probably somewhere in there. She squirmed as his hands went down to her butt again and squeezed it. She chuckled a bit as she bit the corner of her lip slightly. "It's good to be happy," she said with a bit of a shrug. "And the endorphins probably help as well."

“Endorphins huh? And here I was thinking it was the pheromones.” He leaned in and kissed the tip of her nose which was doing that little twitching thing it did. The side effects of her time as a jackalope. He wondered, as he had many times before, if that would ever go away and decided if it did he would be a little disappointed. It was another one of those things that he thought was cute and he liked it even if she got embarrassed by it sometimes.

“I’m glad though. You deserve a little happiness after everything you’ve been through I think.” She did. Anyone who spent time as a jackalope and was nearly forgotten by camp deserved to have someone take an interest in her. Theo didn’t mind being that someone and apparently Hailey was pretty content with the situation as well. “So now that I have you awake and fed and happy what say we make a day of it? We could go for a walk, I could impress you with my magic or we could try some more of those board games that you’re so fond of.

"It could be the pheromones as well. I don't know," Hailey said with a bit of a shrug before Theo leaned in to kiss the tip of her nose. She blushed a little bit more, but at least it wasn't embarrassing as other things that had happened today. She wished she could stop it from twitching during certain times, but she had a feeling this was something that she wasn't going to get rid of anytime soon.

But did she deserve a little bit of happiness now? She thought so, but she knew that a certain goddess wouldn't be too happy with the idea, but she wasn't going to vocalize those concerns now. She raised her eyebrows and thought for a moment as Theo gave her suggestions on what to do with their day. "How about a walk?" she suggested with a shrug. "It looks like a nice day outside," she said as she glanced towards the window which proved her point.

“Hmm…” Theo said thoughtfully. “A walk does sound nice. You might have to put on a few more clothes though which is a bit disappointing but I suppose I’ll survive.” He was mostly kidding as he knew that they couldn’t stay in bed all day but having her here with him in his room was a good place to be and of all of Hailey he had seen he preferred naked Hailey when he could get it. Fortunately there would be time for more of that later. For now though a walk sounded like a good idea.

“The real question is have you claimed my favorite shirt as your own now that you grabbed it?” He gave the shirt a playful tug. There was something incredibly sexy about a woman borrowing one of your shirts and that was definitely true in Hailey’s case. Theo liked it and he supposed if she liked it too that there was no harm in letting her wear it for the time being. Still, he didn’t have to make it easy on her. “It does look good on you so there’s that. Though I could steal it back from you and watch you strut around for a minute or two.”
