[Viv Jennings]

It was not unusual for Viv to be pissed off. Her siblings got on her nerves quite often and she was pissed off quite often. However, the reason she was pissed off today was a brand new one. It was a boy. And not just any boy, but a boy she maybe talked with for about thirty minutes. She thought they were getting along and it didn't hurt that Viv thought he was kind of cute. But he just turned into a jerk at the drop of a hat and that's what really pissed her off.

There was only one person who really got her and he wasn't even a person. Zeke was the only one who truly understood her around camp. Her siblings tried, but they failed. And Zeke was the only person she could truly find comfort in. So that's why she was sitting on the porch of the Big House cross-legged as Zeke was curled up in her lap. He was purring away as he dozed in her lap as Viv stroked his fur. Having him was one of the few calming things in her life and she hoped things stayed calm for a little bit longer.

Drew played with his lighter as he walked down the path from the cabins. He was definitely not thinking about a girl that he had upset a few nights ago. At least that's what he was telling himself but right now it seemed like the more he tried to get her out of his head the more she seemed to claw her way back in. She had been cute and funny in a sarcastic way that he liked, he had even been having a good time but he had taken things too far, tried to back off and she had called him on it.

As frustrating as it was to be called out for being a jerk it was even worse when it was for the wrong reasons. She simply didn’t understand, no one did or could, that was the problem but instead of telling her that he had gotten mad and then she had gotten mad and gods damn it all he needed a cigarette. The only issue there however was that there weren’t really a lot of places to smoke in camp. So here he was wandering around trying to find a good spot when he happened to pass by the big house and see the source of his current malaise sitting right there on the porch.

Drew frowned. As much as he was angry at the girl he recognized that he was partly to blame too. He had been just as judgy and presumptuous as she had been in the end and even though he was still pissed at her it was kind of his fault for being a jerk. So he stood there for a moment not really knowing what he should do. If he tried to walk by her now he would probably just get yelled at and while that wasn’t really anything he was worried about he was pretty tired of thinking about this mess. With that in mind he realized there was really only one thing to do so he slipped his lighter into his pocket and walked over. "So that's the killer huh? Did you decide not to send him after me or are you just trying to give me a false sense of security?"

Cuddling with Zeke on the porch was taking away some of her anger away about that boy on the beach. For some reason, having a purring cat in your lap caused a lot of your issues to disappear for a moment. Or, in her case, to disappear as much as possible until they came strolling up and announcing their presence. Her head shot up and she glared at him as she stopped petting Zeke for a moment and just rested her hand on top of him. She still didn't forgive Drew for what he did to her the other night and she didn't feel in the mood to give that forgiveness today either.

"The one and only," she said coolly as she stared him down. "And it's a slight sense of false security. I needed him to see you first, because apparently telling Zeke to kill the ones with the wiggly toes doesn't narrow down the options so well."

Yep and there it was. As soon as she looked up and saw him Drew could feel the cold disregard that she felt towards him even before she started in with the snarky comments. It was enough to easily bring back the annoyance that he had felt that night as she tried to dig into him with her words. She had set off a few more nerves than she probably knew when she had told him that he had a death wish and he could see she wasn’t far from going back to comments like that now.

“Look, cool it with the tough girl act okay? I didn’t come over here to trade insults with you.” He tried to keep the indignation out of his voice and didn’t entirely succeed. He had thought it kind of cute and a little endearing the way she talked about her cat on the beach but now it wasn’t much fun when there was more anger than playfulness in her voice. “What happened the other day was a mistake.” As the words left his mouth Drew realized they would probably be used against him. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything he could do about it now. He just had to watch the fallout.

Cool it with the tough girl act okay? Viv froze a bit as she glared up at him. Out of all the things she was expecting him to say, that was not one of them. Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the deathbed today, she thought to herself as she rolled her eyes. He didn't want to trade insults with her? "Funny," she replied calmly as she looked at him. "You were so keen with trading insults the other night."

Zeke was still purring in her lap, but he was intently watching the boy as Viv still kept her hand on him. She watched Drew as he proceeded to tell her that the other night was a mistake. She couldn't help but laugh to herself a bit. "A mistake? Do you want to elaborate on which parts or was everything just one huge mistake?"

Drew was trying to apologize. Didn't she see that? Apparently not but how was he supposed to tell her that when all she wanted to do was fight him? "Look," He said trying to salvage what he could of the situation. "What you said really got under my skin and I got mad. I didn't mean to hurt you I just…” He just what? He was just living with a death sentence and he didn't want her to know? He just didn't have time for other people when he could leave them at any moment or get so sick that they had to take care of him? He just didn't want her mad at him? Yeah it was all of those things but those were the same things that he didn’t want to tell her. "I'm just not the person you need to be hanging around."

He knew it wasn’t the right thing to say. She needed an explanation, deserved one in fact, but it was something that he couldn’t give. It was a mistake. Everything with this girl was a mistake. He should have cut his losses with her and gone on about whatever time he had left here except for some reason he thought he could fix this. He was wrong and if anything he was only digging himself in deeper. “I shouldn't have come over. Look I'm sorry you’re pissed but it's obvious I can't fix this. You and your cat deserve better than that.”

Zeke stopped purring and hopped out of her lap and left as he went on to do his cat business. Viv for a moment felt completely vulnerable for a moment since she didn't have her little furry murder there to protect her. But she could protect herself. That's what she had been doing for several years until she ran into this moody Thanatos boy. She finally decided to get up off the porch and stand up. However, she just moved to lean up against the side of the Big House as she crossed her arms over her chest as she watched Drew.

She stayed silent as he rambled on about a lot of things. She really didn't know what he was getting at until he was apologizing. She rolled her eyes as she sighed loudly. "You really suck at apologies, you know?" she told him as she tilted her head to the side. "And you don't know what my cat and I deserve. Trust me, you don't, even if you looked in a mirror." She rolled her eyes. This was going to be a lost cause. She had that feeling.

Drew saw the girl get up and thought that she might be getting ready to just leave. It would have been easier that way but no, she decided that she just had to get the last word in and went to lean against the house so that she could just start calling him out again. Why could she just not get it that he was trying to do her a favor? He liked her but nothing good could come out of her hanging around him. Why couldn’t she just understand that instead of sitting here fighting him?

“I know that you don’t deserve to have a guy like me ruining your life, especially a guy that doesn’t have one himself.” He said letting his voice rise to meet hers. He was trying to make things right and it was getting thrown back in his face. If she couldn’t accept that he was just a bad friend and that he was trying to save her from that then that was fine but he wasn’t going to sit here and just take her talking down to him. “Maybe if you would stop and think about it you’d see I’m trying to save you a lot of trouble okay?”

And he was raising his voice. Great. He just didn't get it. He was just a jerk for her for no reason and now he was trying to push her out of his life. A girl he barely knew. And he was trying to justify his actions. Well, those were justifications that were not sitting well with Viv at all. She glared at him as she pushed off the side of the Big House and walked closer to him until she was at the edge of the porch.

"Oh, now you're telling me you don't have a life?" she spat out at him. "Nice save, trying to change your story, but it's not working. You seriously do suck at apologies." She rolled her eyes again before she unfolded her arms and put her hands on her hips as she glared at him. "Maybe I like trouble," she hissed as she narrowed. "But you wouldn't know because you're just a jerk."

She advanced on him now still attacking him. She didn’t understand, couldn’t understand and she still tried to back him into a corner, to make him feel bad for something that he couldn’t control. He was mad enough to yell, he had lost all concern for what was right and yet the madder he got at this girl who just refused to just let this go the more he realized that he was mad at himself. Mad that he had let this happen, made at his disease that made him this way, mad at the gods for even letting the cruel joke of his life continue and most of all mad that he couldn’t just show this girl how he real felt right here and now.

That was the real kicker and he was so mad right now that all that other stuff seemed to matter a lot less as she got closer. “You like trouble huh?” He wasn’t even thinking as he spoke. He liked talking to her, he liked seeing her and he was tired of letting his disease stop him from getting what he wanted in life. “Fine, I’ll show you how much trouble I can be.” She was so close he had no problem closing the distance. He grabbed her shoulders but instead of using that advantage to shove her or hurt her he held her in place as he pressed his lips to hers turning all that anger into the heated kiss.

Viv just stared as she expected him to say something. There was a lot of thing she was expecting him to say if he even said anything. And she was also expecting him to storm away. What she didn't expect him to do was grab her shoulders. She froze a bit. Was he going to get violent against her? That was something she did not expect at all. She braced herself, waiting for whatever violence that was coming towards her. What she really didn't expect him to kiss her.

But there they were. His lips were on top of hers and she froze for a few more seconds before her hormones kicked in and she kissed him back. And this was no way an innocent kiss or even a passionate one. It was heated. She was frustrated with him and this seemed like a good idea to get her frustrations out on him. She kissed him back hard as her hands moved from her hips and moved them to his shoulders and the back of his head.

Drew expected her to pull away from him, expected to get slapped, clawed or any number of things. She was mad at him and she had every right to make him pay for taking advantage of her like this but instead of doing any of those things she surprised him by not only letting the kiss continue but returning it with some force to boot. He felt Viv’s hands go up to tangle in his hair as she really started to get into the kiss and his own hands relaxed their hold on her as he grew more confident that she wouldn’t try to get away.

He wanted more and as his arms wrapped around her he began pushing her back until her back pressed against the big house and he had her pinned. The kiss continued as his hands went exploring over her body. It was all fire and passion and wanting to give this girl exactly what she had asked for and after a while his lips began to go numb as a result of their hard makeout session. It was then, after who knew how long, that he decided he needed to come up for air.

Drew pulled away from her breathing heavily. He watched her for a moment looking deeply into her eyes but when she didn’t say anything he spoke. “I’m trouble okay? I like you dammit but you need to understand that you don’t know everything about me and you don’t know what you’re getting into.” His head was spinning and his words came out between the long breaths but he wanted her to realize that it wasn’t her fault. He was sabotaging things because it really was for the best even if she was so close and he wanted to dive right back in and damn the consequences. “Nothing good can come from this. That’s what I’m trying to tell you.”

Despite how unexpected the kiss was, Drew was a very good kisser even if he was rough and hard with her. And Viv didn't mind one bit. She was channeling all her energy in this kiss instead of being pissed off at him. And then he pinned her up against the Big House and his hands explored her body... that only made him moan against his lips as she grip the back of his hair a little bit more. It seemed like forever that they were kissing before Drew finally pulled away from her lips.

Viv rested her head back against the side of the house as she caught her breath and watched him. And he was trying to alienate her now and laying the blame all on himself. Viv rolled her eyes again as she looked at him and smirked a bit. "You really suck trying to make yourself look bad and trying to chase me off," she said with a bit of a chuckle. "It's not working, Drew. Because I happen to like trouble." And with that, she used that hand on the back of his head to pull him towards her for another kiss.

Gods of Olympus but the girl was stubborn. She wasn't listening to anything he was saying and instead of doing the smart thing and walking away she was back to kissing him again. Drew had hardly had a chance to breath and then they were back at again this time with her being the aggressor. He didn't complain too much of course. If anything this time he didn't want to break away. It was kind of hot after all and a lot better than standing around yelling at her.

"You don’t…know what…you’re asking for…" He said between gasps for air and short breaks of their lips. The more Viv kissed him the more he wanted and seeing that she wanted him too only fed the fire. If she wanted to deal with him so bad why was he fighting her? Maybe because deceiving her when he so obviously liked her seemed unforgivable. He could tell her but that would open up a whole can of worms wouldn't it? "Viv...I’m trying…to save you here..."

Viv really enjoyed kissing Drew and thought that kissing him would shut him up for a little bit. And it was working pretty damn well if she did say so herself. She wanted to get more from the boy and knew that they would have to move from the Big House porch pretty soon if she had it her way. But between the breaks, Drew tried to talk to her, but Viv wasn't going to pay them any attention.

Trying to save her? That caught Viv's attention between all the kisses as she pulled away from his lips and looked at him with a cocked eyebrow. "Trying to save me?" she asked as she looked at him. "Drew, I'm not asking to be saved. I'm not some damsel in distress." She tilted her head to the side as she raised her eyebrows. "So you can drop that white knight act for me. Because it's definitely not working at all. So will you please just shut up and enjoy this?"
