It was time. Cody did his part and had been spending the last four hours luring the beat back to the beach that it once stormed with all its might. Now, it was his turn to storm. To take back the camp that abandoned him or die trying. Again. As the sun rose over the East coast, luring in the light of the last day of Camp Half Blood. On the West coast the beast was set to rise just as the sun tipped over the mountains. Just as the sun rose over the horizon line, the shape began to form on the coast of the camp. A Few people he could see running towards the beach, trying to figure out just what was coming to doom them all for good. There was no time for mercy, no time for second guessing. His soul was on the line and he was ready for revenge.
Riding in on the top of its head he watched over the camp that had been his home. That betrayed him and left him for dead. That kept everything from him. Its time to let both sides know who was in charge here. "Camp Half blood." He stated, every word echoing at twice the size his voice should have been, instead coming from the beat under him. "For too long We have been kept in the dark of our lives. Too long have we been lied to, ignored and left to die. Greeks have never been alone in their world, the West Coast houses another camp filled with Roman Demigods, You Greek gods have lied to you and left you weak because of their ignorance. Romes sends its regards." Cody repeated a phrase he had been practicing for weeks, that felt so foreign on his lips. "Dimittam Kraken"
The world erupted after that. Storms and hurricane strength winds filled the air as the tides formed massive waves and the Kraken launched forward.

It was too long since the Kraken had last feasted on human flesh. Too long since it last attacked Camp Half-Blood with a promise of a tasty snack. She didn't like it when the boy called for her out of the deep, but his words lured her in. Human flesh. Fresh human flesh. She thought the boy was one she had eaten before, but the mind controlling that was going on made her not question the fact. But there it was. Camp Half-Blood in the morning light. Too bad that it was about to become a buffet for the beast.
Dimittam Kraken! That was her cue. She let out a might rawr as she used her tentacles to hoist herself slightly onto the beach. She looked around to see if anyone was about to become a snack as she reached out with a tentacle to start smacking things around.

The loud roar shook the cabin, and Hitomi ended up on the floor in a tangle of sheets and blanket. Eventually, she got herself out of the sheets and pulled her armor on over her pajamas. It was old and didn't fit perfectly, but it fit well enough, so they had said. She ran out of the cabin and froze when she saw the beast rising up from the lake. What was that thing?! No time to think about it now! She darted to the stables and released a few of the Pegasi.
"Go find your riders!" she told them. "Keep in contact through me! We need the Ares cabin!" One of the pegasi went off toward the Ares cabin, while the rest scattered, planning to wake the rest of the cabins. Assuming of course, that the roar hadn't woken them up. She put her Pegasus in his armor and climbed on, the pair of them shooting out of the stables and soaring over the Kraken. Or, attempting to. The storm made it a bit difficult. But surely Zeus wouldn't hit them with his lightning bolts, right? Riding a Pegasus was supposed to be middle ground for a Poseidon kid like her.
But there was one figure she saw that made her heart sink. Cody... Her brother. One of the two Poseidon boys. And the monster wasn't attacking him, which in her mind could only mean one thing. He summoned the beast. Her own brother was trying to destroy the camp where she'd already begun to feel accepted. Of course it was her brother, that was why Chiron hadn't wanted to be so sure about who her father was when she first got to camp. Something had been wrong in cabin three, and he hadn't wanted her to be a part of it. Now she just had to figure out what it was.
And people wondered why she didn't trust so easily.
She felt the back of her throat burning. She had wanted to trust him. She'd wanted it so bad. Big brothers were supposed to protect their little sisters, not try to kill them.
"Go down to the arena," she told the Pegasus. "I need a weapon."
Got it, the Pegasus said, flaring his wings and dipping to one side to land in the arena. She jumped off and grabbed a spear, then clambered back on. He flared his wings again and shot up into the sky, fighting the storm winds as best he could. Hitomi didn't want to admit it, but she was scared. This thing was huge and it was attacking her camp. She hadn't even been here very long. What was she supposed to do? Being hardwired for battle only meant that her reaction time was good. It didn't mean anything if she couldn't actually attack the monster.

Audrey waited in the shadows as she kept checking her watch. The attack was supposed to be today. The attack of the Krakens on both camps. A secret that the gods kept from them for too long. Once Audrey found out about their Roman counterparts, she knew they had to be involved with the downfall of the gods.
But Cody was slightly behind schedule. Eris promised the Poseidon boy would be able to control the Kraken. Did something go wrong? But soon enough, she saw the boy riding on top of the Kraken as she chuckled lowly. “Showtime,” she said to herself as she went to join camp in the chaos.

It had been a morning like any other the day of the attack. Ash had been out hunting since before sunrise and was headed back to camp with his catches like he had done on countless other occasions. He wasn't really thinking about the Usurpers or the plot he had been trying to uncover over the past few months. In fact, his thoughts weren't on serious topics at all. That all changed though when he heard the earth shattering roar.
Ash's mind switched effortlessly into that sharply focused battle mindset. The roar was coming from the ocean and that was precisely where he went dropping his game line with its collection of rabbits and racing towards an outcropping of rock that offered a good view of the bay. What he saw there was not encouraging however.
The monster was large and it already had its sights set on camp. Ash didn't know what kind of monster it was but right now it didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was that the camp was in trouble. What he had feared had finally happened and he hadn't been able to stop it. There was only one thing to do. He had to get back to camp but he would have to be careful too. There was something more going on here than a random monster attack. He would bet on it.

Alissa had been sitting on her bunk, still waking up, when she heard a crash. Almost everyone in the cabin screamed in terror. "Get down, now!" She yelled as she grabbed her sword out from under her mattress. She opened the door and motioned for her siblings to follow her. "What the..."
The kraken was huge. It was easily ten times larger than Alissa, if not twenty times. Alissa stared up at it. She knew it was too big to charge head on. "Hold up," She said to her siblings, "It's too big to just start swinging at." She looked around. "If some of us can keep it busy, the rest of us can go around and flank it," She said.

Daphne heard those monster cries once before but she was on a different side of the battle as a prisoner. But that was not the case now, but history was wanting to repeat itself and that was something Daphne could not allow. She snapped awake as she immediately put on her armor and grabbed her sword before dashing out the door. She paused for a moment as she could see the monster from the distance, but didn't see the person controlling it. There were so many new campers around. So many that didn't remember the previous monster attack. She had to take charge. She wanted to make sure that they never faced another-related fatality again. So she ran towards the beach, but ended up flying since it was faster.
"STAY AWAY FROM ITS TENTACLES!" she cried out to the campers below her. "IT WILL GRAB YOU AND IT WILL EAT YOU! AIM FOR THE EYES OR THE UNDERBELLY! THOSE SHOULD BE THE WEAKEST POINTS!" Hopefully this battle would turn out better. Hopefully.

Hitomi saw the girl from cabin one flying through the air and directed the Pegasus toward her. If anyone could do something about this storm, it was a daughter of Zeus.
"Daphne!" she yelled, trying to be heard over the wind. "Can you do something about this storm?" She glanced around and mentally called the other Pegasi back, and they gathered beyond the range of the monster's tentacles. She kept forcing down her fear so she could think rationally. She'd taken some of the tactics classes that had been offered in the week or two she'd been here, and because of that she knew that having all the campers on the ground was a bad idea.
"We should get the experienced Pegasus riders in the sky!" she suggested to Daphne. "Having everyone on the ground is too dangerous." Then she had an idea. Was it stupid and impulsive? Oh, definitely. And it was a little bit scary. But if there was no other way to kill this monster, then she could do it. She'd heard that Poseidon kids never got hurt when falling into water... Maybe she could use that to her advantage. But she wouldn't voice her idea yet. Not because it was her brother on top of that monster, but because killing it that way could just kill them all anyway when the thing fell over.
Because of course she didn't know that monsters, when killed, turn to dust.

Look at all the tasty demigod morsels that she could feed on! The Kraken was very happy with this turn out. It was a demigod buffet and she was ready to feast. But they were rude! They had brought out pointy sticks and were trying to hurt her! So rude! All she wanted to do was feast on their crunchy, yummy bodies! And they would've tasted a whole lot better too if she only had a little bit of ketchup.
But some of them were flying around like little flies in the air. How was she supposed to feast with all that buzzing around. She let out a mighty cry before she swung a tentacle up into the air to knock those little pests down.

Could she do something about this storm? The first time since battle started, Daphne finally noticed the weather. Of course, it didn't affect her as badly, but she still found herself struggling against the wind a bit. But the storm? She could possibly do something about it. She closed her eyes as she concentrated on making the storm go away or, at least, focus on making it less severe. The started first with the thunder and lightning, since that something she knew how to control, but the monster was affecting it somehow. Making it difficult to control. She scrunched up her face while she floated in the sky as she fought it and tried to harness the lightning.
But, of course, she forgot for a brief second that there was a Kraken and that she was fully in its line of attack. She never saw the tentacle coming. It hit her body full force as she felt the wind forced out of her lungs. Her chest hurt. Her whole body hurt. The blow caused her to loose consciousness for a few seconds and she dropped out of the sky.

Hitomi didn't notice the tentacle coming their direction, but her Pegasus sure did. He made a panicked noise and flared his wings to get out of the way, nearly unseating Hitomi in the process of course. Then she saw Daphne falling, hard. It had been her fault that the other girl had lost her focus on the monster. She concentrated, feeling the energy inside her, and willed the water in the lake to catch her. It wouldn't be comfortable, of course, but it would be enough to keep the Zeus girl alive.
She watched to make sure the water did what it was supposed to, and indeed. The water rose up and caught Daphne, and for a few moments the girl was suspended in the water. Then Hitomi directed it to set her down by someone, it didn't really matter who, and turned her attention back to the monster.
She was a daughter of Poseidon. The only daughter of Poseidon, and the only camper from cabin three that seemed to be fighting the monster. Cody was on top of the damn thing, and her other brother was nowhere to be seen. So this wasn't the time to hesitate. Ug, where was a kraken's weak point?
She gripped the spear in her hand and swung her leg over, so she was sitting side-saddle. Her plan was crazy, but it was the best she could come up with at the moment. Maybe the monster would be too focused on everyone else on the shore to worry about one in the water. She had to hope that was going to do it. Otherwise, this just might kill her.
She pushed herself off the Pegasus and began her fall toward the water. She'd never tried diving, and she'd certainly never jumped in from this far up. Her heart was racing as she fell, and it felt like she was falling forever, but it couldn't have been more than a few seconds before her feet hit the water. She still had the spear in her hand, somehow. Thankfully.
There was a brief moment when she wondered if anyone else had heard the splash, or saw her fall. But she couldn't worry about that now. She had to figure out where to hit this thing. At least she didn't have to worry about coming up for air.

Alissa watched as an older girl got knocked out of the sky, somewhere close to her and her siblings. She ran over to help. The girl was alive, but not in the best state. She waved her siblings over. "Get her to the infirmary," She said told two of them. They took off, and Alissa turned her attention back to the beast. She stared up at it, thinking.
Alissa ran around it, making sure to swing wide so she'd come at it from the side. The tentacles were still an issue. Fortunately, there was a tree right in front of her. She climbed up and clung to one of the branches. From here, the eyes were close enough for her to possibly hit, if she threw her sword hard enough.
So, the Hermes girl said a silent prayer for all the strength and luck in the world, took a deep breath, and threw her sword at the creature.

Everything was going exactly to plan. Cody and the Kraken had made a dramatic entrance and all the campers were too busy focused on their presence to notice her escape. That Eris girl had to come in and do her little thing to make the situation even more chaotic and then they were golden. The camps would slowly fall and that would only lead them to the downfall of the gods.
Audrey had to duck between a couple of bushes and behind buildings as she made her way back to camp in case anyone got wise and thought she was involved. She highly doubted it, since there was a giant Kraken attacking the beach at that moment.

Ash felt bad for not being in the heat of the battle but when the attack had come he hadn't been close enough to camp to join the battle immediately. As such it allowed him to stay grimly focused on the task at hand. The beast roared and kids were dying but there was something more sinister than a random monster attack going on here. This had been planned and well orchestrated and whether it was by another camp or not he bet he could trace the origin back to at least one person he knew. Whatever Audrey was planning it involved more than just the destruction of camp and Ash decided it was time to find out once and for all what that was.
The son of Apollo kept his eyes open as he came back into camp. He would not be taken unawares by traitorous campers so he walked with his bow drawn and looking for signs of something that the others might miss during the distraction. Perhaps it was because of this that he spotted the girl slipping through the bushes. The very girl that was probably responsible for all this. She hadn't noticed him yet and perhaps that was for the best. He could have taken a shot that would have ended her but he wanted answers and it was that curiosity that caused him to call out to her before she got out of sight. "You! This is your doing isn't it?"

Daphne was still unconscious as she free fell from the sky, but once she hit the water she woke up. She took deep, laboring breaths as her lungs burned and her body ached. But once she realized that she was on top of the water, that was setting her down on the shore and that the Kraken was still attacking camp, the adrenaline started kicking in. Her pain dulled as she took a moment on the shore to compose herself before she sat up. Right around the same time a swarm of Hermes kids came to help her.
"I'm fine. I'm fine," she insisted as she pushed them off of her. "I don't need to go to the infirmary. You need to fight that damn monster." But she got onto her feet as she looked at the monster. It was still mostly submerged in the water. She could use her electricity to zap it, but she wasn't sure if it would carry in Poseidon's domain. Poseidon... "Hitomi!" Daphne called out as she ran towards the shore. "Hitomi!"
