[Daphne Scotts]

Daphne couldn't remember how long that Marius was gone on his journey of self-discovery with awesome 80s music. She didn't know if he was ever coming back or not, but Shogun kept acting up the longer he was gone. First, he was causing more and more chaos around camp and then he kept bringing her daggers that looked scarily looked like the ones Marius used. Daphne swore the monkey was was going to drive her insane, until today. The monkey kept beckoning her to follow him. Why she should follow a monkey, but he wasn't giving up so she finally followed him.

And where he lead her to? The forest? Just her luck. He was probably leading her to some monster attack or something. She wouldn't put it past Shogun. But she followed him deeper into the forest as she kept a hand on her necklace just in case things took a turn for the worse.

Marius staggered slightly when he teleported into the forest before hearing a rustling a short ways away. His hand quickly dropped down to his waist to rest on one of his hidden daggers before a small shape jumped from a tree branch and landed on his shoulder. "SHOGUN!" He laughed as he recognized the curious little monkey. "How did you know I was back?" The son of Hermes asked before suddenly cussing out loudly. " Stop biting my ear! I'm sorry I left without any real notice."

He was still cursing and trying to extract his ear from the capuchin when he turned around to see Daphne, stopping suddenly as they saw each other. Shogun stopped shortly after he noticed that Daphne was there, jumping away from Marius. "Hi." Marius said softly, very unsure of himself at that moment. "How you been?" His hand moved to give a small wave as a wave a guilt washed over him.

Daphne followed Shogun deeper into the woods as she kept a tight grasp on her necklace. She heard a rustling and she was about to yank it off to have her trusty sword with her, but she heard a voice. A very familiar voice. Her chest tightened as she froze for a moment as the emotions overcame her. He was back after far too long and Daphne didn't know how she felt about it.

She let go of her necklace and lowered her hand as she stepped into the clearing to face him. And there he was in flesh and blood. Marius Rodomonte. Her ex. Her chest tightened up again and tears welled up in her eyes as those emotions came back. Happiness. Sadness. Anger. Hurt. They flooded her at the same time and it almost proved to be too much, but she knew what she had to do. It was what she was planning if she ever saw him alive again. He was trying to make small talk as her skin electrified as she walked over to him. She didn't say anything as she raised one of her hands and struck him across the face with as much force as she could muster.

Marius' voice died down as he watched Daphne as she walked up to him, knowing he deserved the slap she was about to give him. He didn't bother trying to defend himself or run away from it and instead just decided to take it with a little dignity. His eyes stayed on her face when she raised her hand and slapped him across the face. His eyes widened as he felt the shock, completely unprepared for it. The thief took the blow well, but the shock knocked back onto his ass. The jolt actually made him fly back a foot or so.

"So I deserved that." He said as he cleared his head, feeling unbalanced and dizzy from the combined shock and slap. "Do you want to do that again or..." He let the question hang there as he got back to his feet, shaking his head slightly to clear it. He focused back onto Daphne, trying to read her so he didn't feel so off guard.

Her hand stung and she winced a bit after her hand made contact with his face. She cursed underneath her breath as she shook out her hand while Marius was muttering about deserving it. He deserved it and a lot more, but Daphne didn't know if she could do more than one slap. She crossed her arms across her chest as she looked at her ex, trying to blink back the tears. She tried to fight them back, she really did, but it was a loosing battle.

"You left me," Daphne hissed between her teeth as she held herself tighter. "You left me and you come back expecting that a 'hi' will be enough?" She choked back a sob as she shook her head and looked down at her feet. "Why did you bother coming back? You're probably going to leave again anyway."

"I said 'hi' because saying 'sorry' would be pointless, wouldn't it?" Marius asked his ex as he got his bearings and brushed himself off slightly. "But neither are enough." He muttered before walking up to her, moving his hand to go to rest on her shoulder but stopping just short of it. The son of Hermes breathed out a heavy sigh before letting his hand fall back down to his side. "I wish I hadn't left" He whispered. "But I'm not going anywhere this time."

Marius looked down at his ex, feeling horrible about the entire situation. After a few minutes, he finally gathered the nerve to put a hand on her shoulder. "I came back because I couldn't stay away." He said under his breath, just loud enough for her to hear him.

Daphne heard Marius talk, but she didn't really listen to him. Instead, she was just staring down at her shoes as she held herself tighter as she tried to quietly sniff back her tears. She lost the crying battle, but she figured that she should at least hear him out. Or hear him out as much as she could between her tears and sniffles. She hadn't noticed that he stepped closer until he put a hand on her shoulder. She jumped for a moment before she looked up at him in his eyes. Eyes that she thought she wouldn't see in forever. But she heard him now. He couldn't stay away. She took a deep breath before she muttered just loud enough for him to hear, "I missed you. Too much."
