FRIENDS Although not impossible, becoming genuine friends with Ed is rather hard. It requires persistence, more persistence, and skin as thick as a brick wall. If you're able to get past his smart remarks (most of which come out sounding like insults), bluntness, and rebellious nature, he's actually a decent(ish) person. He'd still be a bit rough around the edges, but he does have a kinder side to him. His round-about affection takes different forms, but if you squint, it is there - just not in the ways you may be used to. Getting him to show his nicer side also requires a lot of digging for it - or enough patience to wait for it. Being his friend means he will verbally (or physically) stand up for you, trusts you, will make trinkets within reason, and will agree to aid and abet on adventures or the next big coup. However, his mostly negative personality (along with out of control strife) makes for very few close friends, few friends, and some acquaintances. People NEUTRALS  Most people will probably end up here, due to Ed's apathetic nature. No one is exempt from his insults, so even though one may think Ed dislikes them, he's just taking up his own job as being a pain in everyone's side. Ed is more than fine just silently existing in the same space as another. Sometimes he just doesn't have a strong feeling towards a particular person. They don't need to talk. They don't need to have anything in common. They don't have to like or dislike each other. If a glance and a nod is all the relationship consists of, whatever. People  FOES Whether it's his rebellious nature, dark snarks, apathy, curtness, insensitivity, or bluntness, there are plenty of reasons someone would come to dislike him. Also, getting blasted with his strife and engaging in a provoked fight with him never really improves relationships. He certainly gets annoyed with people who rub him the wrong way (which is a lot of people for various reasons). He understands his personality isn't optimal for making friends and not many people will like him, and he's entirely fine with that. It's not like Camp Jupiter will be different than his mortal schools. Many people, along with a decent number of NPCs will most likely reside in this category. People LOVES  Edmund is not attracted romantically or sexually to either gender. He may be demiromantic, but that is to be determined. However, just because he doesn't feel love in those capacities does not mean he doesn't feel philia, agape, or storge love. Close friends and chosen family (if he gets any) will probably be listed here. And you thought it was a long time to get his affection as a friend... Aside from what friends get, close friends get some perks for dealing with him for so long: a personal allegiance to you, a loyal friend for life, potential physical affection/more stereotypical affection, an allowance for endearing nicknames, a calmer version of him (since their affection inadvertently calms him to the point of helping him control his strife), and his willingness to create anything for them. Jen and Edmund
Jen is a loud mouth, cocky, fun loving daughter of Fortuna that is usually getting in to trouble somehow. I'm not sure how these two will turn out but that's more because Jen is such an unpredictable character. She may end up liking his more abrasive characteristics because she is naturally abrasive herself or she may take offense and end up fighting. With Jen it's anyone's guess how a given situation will go but she'll definitely have fun no matter what happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tawny and Edmund
Tawny is a laid back and carefree skater girl and daughter of Somnia. She probably wouldn't be bothered by his attitude and would be friendly toward him unless he really gave her a reason not to be. Her motto is to live and let live so she wouldn't push him too hard one way or the other. If he decided she was cool that would be fine with her and if he wanted to keep her at arms length she would be down with that as well. Easy going is the key and with the ability to let most things roll off her back she might be a candidate for an goodish relationship.

Celeste and Edmund
A 1st cohort member associating with someone from the 5th cohort might not be a common social dynamic in New Rome but Celeste probably wouldn't care. She is a bit on the reserved side so she probably wouldn't go out of her way to talk to him and she has a lot of insecurities so she probably wouldn't take it well if he was too blunt with her but she is a generally good and caring person if Edmund doesn't run her off. xD

Alexander and Edmund
Alex is generally pretty busy working in the infirmary to bother getting to know people too well. Unless Edmund winds up in need of medical attention they may never meet as even when he's off duty his mind is busy thinking about work. He's another 1st cohort member and he's probably a bit deeper in the political intrigue of New Rome than Celeste is but if you could get him to open up he might slowly develop a friendship. Still, he's got a very no nonsense kind of attitude and these too might clash more than get along especially considering that Edmund doesn't particularly like medical personnel.

Austin and Edmund
Austin would be in the same cohort as Edmund and they might slowly hit it off. Austin is pretty easy to get along with though a bit nervous and awkward if he doesn't know you. That said he tries to be a good guy and see the best in people so he wouldn't totally be turned off if Edmund was a bit difficult with him. Might not be the easiest relationship but they could probably be pals with a little work.

Cam and Edmund
Cam is one of the centurions for the 2nd cohort and a son of Jupiter. He's usually pretty busy handling leadership responsibilities but when he breaks away he might run into a member of the 5th. If so he wouldn't mind taking some time to try and get to know Edmund. He would probably fall into the neutral category more than anything else though as they might not have enough reasons to just keep bumping into each other.

Drake and Edmund
Drake is a slacker member of the 1st cohort. He is much more interested in playing video games and his guitar than actually being a stuffy Roman with all the family duties. That said he is pretty easy going and could be a good match if you're looking for positive interactions even though Edmund might not like Drake's association with cold weather.

Jen && Ed - lol either side, those two sound like fine xD ed'd go along with either

Tawny && Ed - She does seem like a good candidate, especially if she doesn't mind the distance and the snark

Celeste && Ed - Ed tries his best to run every one off... so he may not be the best person to hang out with for her, but he'd enjoy running her off : )

Alexander && Ed - Ed tries to stay out of the infirmary as much as possible (like, he has to be bleeding out enough to die or have a broken limb). Even if they ended up crashing (especially if it was in the infirmary), I feel as if Alex would get on Ed's bad side

Austin && Ed - If Austin is willing to rough it out, that could work xD

Cam && Ed - Noted ^-^

Drake && Ed - Ed's not a big family person and would more likely be caught skipping formal training than performing duties, so they have that in common xD that could work if he is okay with ed's snark

Sorry it's taking me so long to get back to you. I'm pretty sure I died this past week. In any case I say we fire up something at least for Drake and Ed. We can try them out and maybe add a Jen or Tawny thread as well if you like. At least that's what I'm thinking.
