Hailey looked at her sister while pressing her lips together as she waited for Pri to process the information. WHAT?! Hailey cringed a bit with how loud her sister was. She was trying to keep this a secret from her lady for the longest time and she didn't need her sister screwing it up for her. "I know... but..." She pressed her lips together as she glanced off to the side. "I haven't felt this way in a long time about anybody... I was so cold for a long time..."
But she stopped dead in her tracks when she heard Pri. "WHAT?!" she echoed her sister as she looked down at him. "You almost left with that traitor?" She moved so both of her hands were on her sister's shoulders as she studied her eyes. "You know he's part of bad things, right? Artemis has told me. I don't want you around that traitor ever. He's bad news... things that haven't happened in a while are going to happen..."
She took a deep breath as she looked down at her sister. "It's going to be soon, but Pri... gods..." She squeezed her shoulders as her lips began to tremble. "I shouldn't leave you like this... not when things are going to happen..."

Her sister wasn't on drugs... Hailey couldn't help but wonder what had gotten into her sister to make her act like that. Once they were both in the cabin, Hailey closed the door as she locked the key. The hunters wouldn't be in for a little bit. They had issues to attend to that Hailey was exempt from... and Hailey made sure she was exempt from them.
She crossed her arms as she stood in front of her sister as she glanced over at Artemis. She bit the corner of her lower lip wondering if Vincent was really work the risk of being a jackalope the rest of her life. She took a deep breath before she turned her gaze over at her sister. "I'm running away from camp with a boy," she said quietly hoping it was soft enough that the goddess wouldn't hear her and come to punish her.

Hailey was running late, but she had good reason. She just met up with Vinnie to finalize them running away and... well... they didn't do that much talking which made Hailey almost two hours late meeting her sister. Hailey hurried through camp as she tried to smooth out her clothes and hair. They didn't go that far, but they did get a little intense with their secret make out sessions.
She arrived just in time to see the sister in question punch the railing of the steps leading up to her cabin. "P-Pri?" she hesitantly asked as she approached her. "Are you okay?" She seemed jittery. "You're not on anything, are you?" She put a hand on her sister's shoulder as she lead her up to her cabin. "Sorry I'm late... I have things to tell you... big things..." She took a deep breath as she opened the door to her cabin.

Hailey had no clue how long Vincent was waiting for her in the stables. From what she could tell, or smell, he was there for quite a while. She could smell the hay on him as she pressed her face against his jacket and took a deep breath. Her eyes closed as she just hugged him close. She just enjoyed the moment, since she did not have any good moments lately the last couple of weeks. She blew Vincent off about running away together, since they were supposed to run away the week she found out about her sister but she gave him an excuse why she couldn't.
"Hey," she muttered as she pulled away from his chest and smiled sadly up at him. "Good to see you." She took a shaky breath as tears slowly welled up in her eyes. She chuckled a bit as she tried to brush it off, but her tears slowly turned into sobs. "I'm sorry, Vinnie," she muttered to him before she pulled him in close and squeezed him into a hub as she buried her head into his chest once more.

Numb. Hailey was completely numb the last couple of weeks. A part of her died. A big part of her. Yeah, Hannah and her weren't the closest, but Hailey wanted to make amends. But now that could never happen. Hailey was finally getting over the stage where she would cry herself to sleep every night, but her fellow hunters worried about her. They snapped at anyone that asked about Hailey as they tried to let her grieve in peace.
Hailey forgot about running away with Vincent during those few weeks before she caught the murmurs around camp. Artemis wanted to station Hailey away from camp so she could heal and Vincent wanted to talk to her. She couldn't help but feel a little panicked. If she was going to run away with Vincent like she originally planned, she needed to do it before she was taken away from camp for who knows how long.
So she heard the rumors that Vincent was waiting for her at the stables so she didn't waste any time. She hurriedly made her way to the stables and opened the door. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him. He looked handsome compared to her messy hair and dark circles under her eyes. "Vinnie," she said softly as she went over to him and hugged him tight for dear life.

If it was possible for Hailey to sob even harder, she did as soon as her sister wrapped her arms around her. She held Princess close and refused to let go. She was afraid now to lose her other siblings just as she lost her twin. "Please don't leave me," she whispered to them as she continued to cry some more. She was close to going into hysterics. She wanted to throw something. Another vase. She wanted to go after whatever killed her sister.
There hands on her were comforting, but it wasn't enough. It wasn't going to bring Hannah back. It wasn't going to make Hailey's life better. A flash of going to the underworld and nabbing Hannah's soul back crossed her mind, but it was worthless. She eventually stopped crying as she let out sobs that made her chest hurt.

Hailey couldn't help but feel ridiculously happy when Vincent agreed to the timeline. She was going to get it. She was going to be a girl again. Where was he one year ago when she broke down because of Danny? She needed someone like Vincent. Someone who cared about her, because Danny did not care at all.
When she saw that growing smile on his face, she couldn't help herself. She leaned in to kiss him briefly as she got onto her tiptoes to get to his level. "I can't wait," she said as she pulled away from his lips slightly and giggled. She looked up at him before she muttered, "We probably need to get you out of here. The other hunters are coming back today, but I don't know when."

Hailey continued staring at the wall in front of her as her siblings barged in. She remained motionless, not really noticing their presence. As stupid as it might have sounded, Hailey felt like part of her died. Her other half. She didn't know how to live life without being labeled as a twin.
She was startled from her pity when she felt Samuel's hand on her arm. She glanced up at him before she looked at Princess with her outstretched arms. Her sister. One of the few she had left. She immediately took that offer of a hug as she latched onto Pri. She buried her face into her shoulder before she let out a violent sob. "It's just not fair," she mumbled as tears streaked down her face. "She can't be gone... She can't..."

Hailey thought Hannah ran away since she hadn't seen her at camp lately. She thought something came up and Hannah ran away... that wasn't the case...
They found her body in the forest or at least that's what Chiron told her. She was either attacked by a monster or committed suicide, but they couldn't tell for her. He decided to notify Hailey first since she was blood related to her. He would tell the Hephaestus cabin in a little bit.
Hailey just sat there, stunned, as Chiron left the room. She already cried and screamed and broken a vase. But now she was sitting on the couch completely numb and broken. Her twin was dead. Her other half was gone. She moved to lay down on the couch as she hugged herself and stared at the wall. Hannah was dead. She was no longer a twin. What was the world coming to?

His arms around her felt nice. She buried her head against his chest as she closed her eyes and took deep breaths. Last night was just wonderful in her mind and she just wanted more of that. She actually acted like and felt like a girl.... something she was denying for so long. At least a year... she felt how good it was to....
She looked at him when he pulled away and sat down on the bed. She was scared for a moment that she was going to be rejected again. Danny rejected her and her heart didn't take the fall well. And now Vincent... if he rejected her.... she would immediately ask Artemis to remove her from camp. She couldn't do it... She couldn't...
But Vincent.... actually agreed with her. She looked up at him with glistening eyes. "Really?" she whispered to him, not actually believing that he was agreeing to this. "Vincent, I..." She bit her lower lip so she couldn't ramble so much. She couldn't believe it was happening. "I know," she whispered to him as she placed her hands on top of his. "Let's do it in a week..." She took deep breaths as she thought about it. "I need to do some things... but we'd be clear in a week..."

Hailey bit her lower lip as she took shaky breaths trying to calm herself down. She didn't need to be breaking down in the middle of the Artemis cabin over a guy. A guy who finally wanted her and, even though she wouldn't admit it aloud, she wanted back. Gods, she was rash. One little broken heart and she ran away from all potential problems. She was such an idiot. And she was going to pay for it forever.
But Vincent said something she wasn't expecting. She opened up her eyes and looked into his eyes as she listened to his words. "Run away with you?" she whispered back at him as her eyes watered up slightly. "Vincent... we could get in so much trouble... I could end up as a jackalope if she finds out..." She pressed her lips together as her mind put together a very rash decision. "Okay," she said as she slowly nodded her head. "Let's run away. Together. Please?"

This killed Hailey more than anything to pull away from him. She put her head in her hands as she took a deep breath. Was she really going to regret joining the hunters? Was she that rash? She swore she would never look back once she pledged. But now... now it was looking a little bit different.
Oh she wished she could cuddle and stay in bed all day with him, but she couldn't. Hunters didn't do that. They didn't fraternize with boys, let alone kiss them. Oh gods, she was going to get turned into a jackalope.
She ignored him saying that he didn't need anything as she pushed herself up off the bed and went to grab ambrosia from her bedside table. But she paused. "I'm not him...and I will do anything to prove it to you. Just please..." Tears watered in her eyes as she closed them and pressed her trembling lips together. "I can't," she whispered as she took a deep breath. "I can't Vincent... I can't go back." She took a deep breath and had half a mind to chuck the ambrosia at him.
She quickly dismissed that idea before she composed herself enough to walk over and hand it to him. "I'm sorry Vincent," she said as she looked into those pretty eyes of his and felt herself breaking down once more. "I can't.... I can't go back on my vow." She took a shaky breath as she closed her eyes. "I'm hers now. I can't go back."

Hailey smiled softly when Vincent woke. She never realized it before, but he had such pretty eyes. "Hey," she said softly to him. "How's your headache?" It was probably killing him a lot; she could figure out how much he had to drink based on the alcohol on his breath and how he was stumbling around last night.
Then he did something that surprised her. She giggled a bit as he held her close and nuzzled her neck. She got shivers as he kissed her neck and then pulled away. She looked into his eyes before something hit her. This was getting intimate... too intimate. And the last time she was intimate, the guy broke her heart.
"Um..." she said as she pulled away from him and sat up on the bed facing away from him. Her face was red as she pressed her lips together as she looked around the cabin. She couldn't do it. Not after Danny. "Do you need anything for your headache... or your hangover?"
