"Well when your sister pretty much throw herself at men it can get annoying to get bothered by boys wanting to be with her and asking a lot of questions about her." Dylan replied with a heavy sigh, oh how he disliked his sisters' ways. "Also I like the alone time, it's nice having some time to think and appreciate the little things." He looked up to her with a grin of curiosity. "Why not?"
He gave an uncomfortable movement, he had never mentioned to someone his tree before, it was as if talking to Dakota was comfortable for him but now that he thought about what he said he wasn't so sure now. "Oh um, yeah sure." His eyes widening while he felt her leg brush his, he looked down, blush of red in his cheeks. His heart was beating too fast and he couldn't stop blushing. He had to hide it so he put his hand on his face to hide the blush from his cheeks and tried to stay calm "It can be in our next date." Trying to smirk was a total failure, he ended up giving her a slightly goofy smile and pathetic gooey eyes.

"Indeed they are." Dylan smiled, it was a funny story how he found out the Apollo kids were good at cooking, since he didn't know a lot of greek mythology he had tried to guess by just observing some campers, it was a good hobby just looking at everyone without seeming creepy and since he was always alone no one really noticed him. One day some kids from the bright cabin were fighting over some cake and how one of them had ruined it with putting different things in it. One of them spotted Dylan and asked to taste it, he was delighted to eat it and it turned out to be delicious, since then he always knew they were good at cooking.
"It's alright, I'm pretty good at being invisible." Mostly because it was his sister who had the attention and wanted the spotlight. Once Dakota ordered it took a moment for Dylan to answer her question, she was always in the Infirmary and Dylan wasn't anywhere important. "I'm almost always in my cabin, there isn't anyone really. Or sometimes I just go to this really sturdy tree and in this branch you can sit there and just enjoy the breeze or see the sunset while reading a good book." Pretty cheesy, right?

Dylan couldn't think straight, he wanted to be able to choose dinner for himself that was exquisite and refined. Yet he couldn't help but glance at Dakota every five seconds. He did was subtle at it of course, yet he wanted to stare at her beauty all day. He looked back at the menu, where the drinks were and said absent-mindedly. "Oh, the Apollo kids." They were the best cooks in camp, who else would be doing the cooking? Meat was definitely not a good first impression, but it looked so good with some wine sauce. "I don't know, can't decide yet." He could eat about anything, contrary to popular belief, he was still just a regular guy who could eat a whole pizza, maybe with style but still he could do it.
There wasn't much he knew about Dakota, he didn't like that. He wasn't so new around camp and though he spends his days alone or with a good book. He could ask his sister though, that girl would know everything about everyone before that person even knew it themselves. "I don't know why we haven't crossed paths before," He wanted to start a conversation that did not include the date and also how awkward it would get later on when they don't know what to talk about. But after a few minutes of thinking what to get, Aradia came back and nudged Dylan in his arm. "Oh, yes." He put the menu down and looked over to Dakota. "Ladies, first."

A half smile grew in his face, he couldn't help the feeling of pride of being complimented but it was still below him, he knew his looks was something he had probably gotten either from his dad or mom, since his mother was gorgeous but since his father was Anteros, one of the gods of love and all that he did have good looks. He didn't respond though to her compliment, just letting his smile do the talking. He was fulfilled with success when he noticed he liked the rose, finally she sat down as he helped her with her chair. He walked back to his place and sat down his own chair.
"Thank you, but I'm afraid I could've done a much better job if I had more time. But I'm glad you like it." He looked to his right towards the trees to inform the nymph that in a matter of minutes to bring the menus that he had to get someone in the Apollo Cabin to make yesterday and also be willing to make the food, fortunately one of his friends, a girl, with a romantic heart decided to help him out. "I'd say nine, but you are welcomed to make it more cheesy, as you can see I am a romantic." Finally the nymph took the hint and walked towards the table with two menus in hand, she handed one first to Dakota and then to Dylan. "Thank you Aradia," He smiled politely and left to later come back and write out what they would want.

Dylan wasn't tired, he didn't mind the waiting, it didn't even seem like a long time passed before a beautiful figure was making her way to the table, and as the lady walked he could see more of her, and truth be told what he saw was breathtaking. He could see her clear, her flawless features in her beautiful face, this was no date for someone like her. A queen could never been seen with him, in this trashy table with an unsuitable man like himself, he was unworthy for a queen, no, not a queen, a goddess.
Regardless of her beauty, he could see it in her eyes, the hint of independence, loyalty and compassion. He couldn't see anything wrong with her, but blinded he was to only see her marvelous features, to ignore every other quality in her eyes that said that she was nothing but perfection. It was only later when he stop gazing in her eyes, lost in its precious colors, were they green or blue? A mixture of those two colors brought the best in her eyes. He looked down, seeing her what seemed delicate hand and he touched her palm with his own, with his dry lips he bent over the hand in a courtly manner, and made the motion of a kiss over the back of her hand. He expressed his silence in an apology. "My apologies, I was just wonderstruck in your beauty, and lost in your eyes." He slowly let go of her hand and with his other had showed her the rose. "I am Dylan Mccoy, it is a pleasure to meet you Dakota." He waited for her to take the rose as he walked behind her chair, took it out of the table and waited for her to sit and help her move the chair.

It was a terrible mistake, saying he was feeling a little lonely to his best friend in camp, the words came out of his mouth before he could stop them and suddenly he was walking towards his cabin with different names of girls who were single in camp, of course they were more but Dylan was lucky enough to thank his friend and run away. He made a deal with himself, he would let his best friend set him up for one blind date and see how it goes. It was going well, he hadn't heard anything about meeting anyone until he was told a day before who he was meeting with, when and where. How was he gonna find a suitable outfit in one day? He had to plan everything, he did not have enough time. Or in the words of her younger sister, he was screwed.
But the day came anyways and Dylan was thinking things over, he had almost everything done. He found a great and respectable pant suits with a great complimentary shirt, a tie loosely wrapped around his neck. The setting was almost perfect, almost. He just needed the sunset and everything would be fine, but minutes before the sunset and before he would me his date, he set up a table in the beach, good enough for his shoes not to get dirty or the lady's shoes. A rose in a glass vase waiting to be picked up by its new owner, the silver plates he had to go through the whole Mess Hall to find, then the food, oh the foo would be exquisite. Having to convince an angry dryad who had been tormented by his younger, troubled sister, to help him out serving the food was hard, but it helped that he could persuade her with a smile, not wanting it to be the case though, since leading one ladies with his looks would be a mess, no such thing to do to such a delicate woman. So he would help the dryad with anything or just help on getting back to someone who took her for granted.
As he stood next to the table, the light breeze of the waves splashing to the sand, calmly making the mood more serene, the sun almost ready to rest and create such colors that he could only dream of, he waited for the beautiful lady. He could not wait for the mysterious woman who probably had more time than he did on preparing, but never the less, he took out the rose from the half empty water glass vase and hid it behind his back to present it to her.
