Ali had just gotten out of target practice, the sport of choice for any huntress. So, Ali thought she'd let loose in at the lake. It was a lovely day after all, perfect for a swim, a picnic, a stroll, and many more activities. Ali soon let down her quiver and bow, untied her ponytail that confided her mess of blond and newly dyed green hair.
"Hehe..." She soon let out a gentle giggle as she walked to the dock, sitting at the end and in turn releasing her feet from her combat boots. "Awh~ Soothing." She let loose a sigh, glancing to the sky. "So... What's up with you 'Dad'? I know we don't talk much... Hades I think it was about century since our last conversation.. How's the Sun Chariot? Even think about lettin' your daughter take the car for a drive?" She laughed lightly, an as usual, Ali began to hum, not getting a reply, "But hey... I made the effort huh?' She thought with a smile.

"Darn right I am.." She said with a smile as she lied back on the sand. Soon Ali's mind wondered as she looked to her clothing, she was cladded in her usual odd apparel, what seemed to be fatigues that Ali had worn to shreds and eventually made into rather baggy shorts, with it, around her waist was the fatigues overcoat, as she fiddled with the tank top she wore, contemplating a swim. Her thoughts trailed off. Though.. To Ali, this was a normal look, but ehh.. Any Aphrodite's kid would love to give her a make-over.. She soon realized that she off in her thoughts and looked to the younger. "Oh! Um... Uh... What was I doing again? Right.... Sisterly jargon... So... What made ya want the beach again?" She asked, as she soon tore open a pack and poured a few into her mouth "I mean... If it was me, I'd... Hm... Actually... Never mind what I'd do."

"A ransom? My, my~ Oh well~ I'm not one for conflict." She said as she sat down, pulled off her knapsack and rummaging threw camouflaged coloured bag, till shortly after sorting away her 'medication' she pulled out a several brightly coloured packages of candy. "Okay~" She said with a light smile. "Take your pick, I've got original, sour, tropical, wild berry.." She when on listing the listed off all the favours. "Take whatcha want.. I don't much mind nor care." She said with a light grin. "I usually snack on these when I'm out our with our love auntie.. So I'm able to get so much of them.. That I really don't know what to do with'em~" Ali said as she laid back. "But.. Yeah, if ya ever really need candy, just bug me."

Alena hummed and sang lightly under her breathe as she had a quite stroll on the beach. "You give me a golden sword and

I can follow, though I know...." Ali was off into her head until she was hauled by the munchkin at light-saber point. "Huh... Oh~? So your holding the beach hostage now?" She couldn't help but chuckle. "Hm.. But if it's candy that'cha want~ I think I might have some skittles in my bag, if you'd be so kinda to your big sister and let her take a seat, I'll gladly give ya some~ And maybe ya can tell me why your being a grumpy Gus~" She said, picking at her bandages palms and mildly scolding herself under her breathe. "So~ Whatcha say~?"

Ali did as the young huntress did in here free time, she tried to find time for herself, time to relax and thus she hummed, hummed a tune under her breath as she resting in an theatre hall, almost like the ones she dreamed of singing at one when she was a little girl and thus she began to singing gently to let out her thoughts.
"Caught staring at the clock again.."
"Think I’m ready now so let’s begin..."
Ali sang gently, her voice sweet and gentle.
"To start counting down, I never get to one, drifting on ..."
"Between a web of silver dreams.."
"I am flying now on better wings..."
"With nothing to hold me back, here I can be complete free..."
"To head towards the morning, chase after the sun and bring back a piece for everyone..."
"It all seems so clear, impossible break.... Please stay that way when I wake..."
Ali went off and paused a bit as she though of a few more verses.
"But I was made paper thin.... Inside this world you need tougher skin and I can’t hide the way that I feel..."
"When it’s a wound that just doesn’t heal, but if you’ve a blank page to lend , then I’ll let my whole life be the pen.. I will write a story within..."
She soon stopped and let out a soft sigh, as she lied towards the edge of the stage, her arm dangling off.
"So you can see that my heart is not paper thin ...."

Ali sighed, brushing back her hair yet again as her sobbing made it even more of a wreak than prior. Gods, she was envious of those Aphrodite girls, they could cry all the time and still look flawless while Ali felt as hot a drowned sewer rat. "Oh Ash, I'm sorry I turned this around to be myself, I honestly didn't mean too.. It, well... Yeah your totally right love leaves scars and yeah... I guess I could have seen all that I felt all those years, I mean.. I spent 3 years out on my own fending off before Artemis found me and allowed me to join the vanguard." Ali sighed. "It's funny really, I mean... Come on Ash, with the whole cabin is around ya have me, the 'wild and wacky, no bounders, insane, borderline psycho that enjoys playin' games... It's easy to be that way, for a while ya just get used to wearing a mask, though... Every morning I have to dress up for said mask and really wearing it is hard, a heavy thing to wear.. And then I come in here and look at you, you my dear brother... Don't have that.. Ya just have everything open. Open and sure it has a nice little bow that someone could attempt to go for.. But see how that they don't shows so much more, that you are you, practical, strong, smart, I kinda envy how little ya have to. Not saying ya don't have secrets in all. Everyone dose"
Ali soon paused. "But that's besides the point that my brother is amazin' and cool.. Your also often... Right. We do have to move on... We do have to keep going on or you'd just end up in the same rut like I've been for well 2 and a half centuries... Not fun in my opinion... But I guess, maybe for a little while I can wait awhile, as now I can feel once awhile... Maybe I can hold on? And just buy a little time for this wondering head of mine..."

"Oh, Ash.. It no problem.. I mean, I've been blessed by our father to heal.. It comes in hand when ya been a huntress as long as I have.." She said softly, tying back her mess of blond hair, as she began to do the healing process, she thought a bit, Ali was well.. She had been an enigma for most of her life, she had lived for so long that she no longer can see the world most do. She contemplating long and hard as she soon properly wrapped up Ash's palms. "All done, see? What I tell ya? Best healer maybe even on par with our nieces' and nephew's in Aesculapius cabin." She boasted lightly.
Though that soon faded as she giggled lightly, but soon covered her face as she couldn't expect all the emotions to flood out as the giggling soon turned into whimpers and light sobbing as Ali spoke in a mumbly tone. "Oh Ash.... Oh Ashley...." She glanced to him and soon kinda threw herself at her brother as she clang to him as she sobbed. "It's been 200 years since I opened up like that, always hiding from my feeling that constantly tear into me and down. I just don't ever want to see anyone go down the same road I did, to regret... This life is just too short, just too short... And seeing you so broken down, I just could imagine what my mum felt, what Oliver felt when I left... And now their gone.... Just like that 250 years flies by.." Briefly she sobbed into his corner. "But you Ash, you.... You have so much to live for, I've lived the same life for so long... I .. I ... Just want to thank you, thank you for putting up with me, I must be terrible to deal with... " She said, with a sniffle. "I know must be hurting, I know you must be a deep, stabbing, pain in your heart.. And look! Alena's beein' clingy again.... Stop the presses... But, I've just seen so much of the same for so long... I mean, so many faces I can't recall, all the battles and deaths... It just wears ya down, ya know? Well, I just... I'm sorry.." She soon whipped her eyes. "I just, I can see something in ya, I blame our father... Years of existence and the occasional visions can get a little... Well, cumbersome..." She took a deep breath, as she tried to put herself. "But, you've helped a lot today as well... You've gotten that all that... Well, I pent up for so long to feel, well lifted, sure it still hurts.. But you've helped me some and I just hoped I helped you the same way."

Ali entered the eerily silent cabin, she had returned from an outing with a few of the huntress' to hear a the sounds of a pencil fall, clattering down it admittedly startled her some, to the point where she almost drew her own bow, though a few familiar grumbles made the usually erratic girl stop from unlatching her earring, she approached with caution worried as the ambiance ad felt quite tense, like she was walking into room filled with bear traps, laced with venom of black mamba and covered in barbs, only to notice her sibling in a state Ali had seen far too many times before.
"Hey... Ash?" She said in a gentle tone, as she emerged from the shadows hoping not to startle her hunter of a brother. "Are.... Are you doing okay? Ya don't quite look yourself." She said as her cerulean eyes glanced to terribly treated wounds on her brothers palms. She knew Ash was the best hunter in the world, well in her eyes he was.. Healing, now that was Ali's best attribute at least that's what she thought. "Looks like ya over worked yourself there." She said motioning to his hands. "If ya want, your sister here is pretty good at healing... Though it's up to you really.." She soon paused, inviting herself to sit down. "Ash, Ash, Ash... Ya know, you may think you have all those emotions of yours locked up tight, but those eyes of your speak all that I need to hear."
"It's plain as day, it seems someone was able to get that stick outta your ass and maybe even, oh I wouldn't know... Got in to deep? Maybe even saw the bit of vulnerability in your heart? Maybe they made that vulnerability? Or maybe I'm just putting too much of myself into it? " Ali said looking to him. "But trust me Ash, I've been in your shoes... I know right? Me? It was when I was 'younger'... And no, not like that, as I don't look it my dear brother... I've been on this world for a good... 250-somethin' years.. Crazy huh? But back when I was well, before I knew I was a demigoddess... I had a crush, he worked for the circus my mum and I where apart of... He was my first love, I even gave him my first kiss and everything... He meant so much to me... But, then the harpies got to me.. I almost died.. And then I ran away from all my problems.. Leaving him and my mother a note.. I regret that day ever since, but... Worst of all... I kinda wished the harpies would have gotten me.. So, year on end I play this 'happy' game and it's not right path..." Ali chocked up a bit, whipping her eyes some. "But... Enough about your foolish sister... I want you to know, to not make the same mistakes I did, not run or hide them.. Confront them, show them you have nothing left to hide. Show them the brother I know."

Ali couldn't help but give him a sigh. "Oh~ Ashey~ Ashey~ Ashey~ ASHEY~" She soon pulled off one earring and grinned as it became a shiny bow. "Don'tcha like~? Aunt Artemis gave it to me~ They are so cute~ And makes going out SO much easier." She poof up her hair with a smile. "But~ Maybe we could hunt for a nice date~ I COULD SO be your wing man~" She soon replaced the earring back on her ear. "And I'm SO ignoring the hunting comment... I obviously haven't been a huntress for like... 200 years or something... Ehh... Somethin' like that... Ya loose count after a while."

Ali made a false gasp, then stormed up to the boy with a serious look and with all the might -not really- she flicked his nose. "Boop!" She soon smiled widely as she soon rummaged threw her beg pulled out a couple dozen begs of candy, a few random scarps of clothing and soon fulled out some golden earring. "FOUND IT~!" She announced with glee as she put them on, patted her self off, checked herself out for a few mins, snapping at the mirror and turning back to her brother. "Alrighty~! Ready Ashey-Boi~! Mama is gonna go out on the prowl~ What some skittles?"

Ali grinned, as she let out a bit of a roar. "ASHEY~" She couldn't help herself as she adored the other as almost tackled the boy with a hug, and soon... She bombarded the other with her comments and questions. "How are you!? Oh! Look how big you've gotten! Gosh! You've grown into quite the lady-killer!" This resulted in her pinching his cheek. "Got a girl? Or guy? If ya like guys Ashey I don't care! It's perfectly okay. I'll just have to make sure your safe with whoever!" Ali could have gone on FOREVER, her motor mouth was kinda scary, thought luckily it stopped as she noticed. "Oh! Right... I'm on ya~ My bad.." She soon back flipped off the boy, Ali was a bit of a showoff with her years of acrobatics. "Oh~ And for your lovely sister~ Peachy!"

Ali had just arrived back into camp, back to the Apollo cabin she went.. Sure, the girl could have stayed with her fellow huntress' but she really didn't want to? Ali did enjoy when she didn't have to fallow the rules, if Artemis REALLY wanted the medic to stay with them, the goddess would likely say so, but she never seemed to mind Ali running to see her siblings. Ali had always been used to be around people sense she was young.. I mean, being a part of a circus acrobatics team kinda dose that to ya? Anyways... The traveler had finally found some rest as she opened the cabins door, with a grin she announced "I'm home~!" to the entire cabin. Ashley Bates |
