Well this certainly did improve things as Viv could probably tell. When she kissed him Drew could taste the alcohol on her breath and that combined with what she was doing with her tongue had a rather intoxicating effect. Things were shaping up for a very exciting evening and as if to confirm this a few whistles from the other patrons at the bar told him that they were doing things right. Drew didn’t really mind but it did serve to remind him that they weren’t exactly alone here which might be a problem if things progressed much further.
With a sigh Drew pulled away from the kiss. “That’s a pretty good start.” He said with a smirk. “I would hate to make everyone else jealous that I have such good company though. What say we finish off my drink here and then head back to the room where you can show me a little more of what we were just doing. I think it would definitely be a lot more fun for both of us."

Viv was having a good time and as if to prove it she slipped down from the bar counter into his lap which only served to improve the view even more. Slipping his hands around her and into her back pockets to give her a little support he held her there enjoying the feel of her close to him and the naughty places her thoughts were drifting. Was he having fun already? Of course. But he wasn't about to waste a perfectly good opportunity to have a little more.
"Me? Well I have been pretty lonely while you were up there dancing." He said frowning a little to show how deeply the wounds ran and hopefully how much he needed that to be repaired. "I do like my prospects from this angle though." Drew took a moment to look her over and it wasn't very hard to tell where his thoughts were going at the moment. If they only had one more night they might as well make it one hell of a night to remember. "I think I definitely need you to improve things a little though."

Drew had to admit that he liked this side of Viv. The wild, crazy, just have fun Viv that sure enough was so obviously into sports. He hadn't believed it when she had told him but this was definitely a side that she didn't show often even though he thought he had seen her from all her sides and then some. It was hard to imagine Viv letting anything get her down when she was like this and maybe that's why they had been able to have so much fun on this trip. They had stopped worrying about stupid, unimportant things and just enjoyed the time they had together.
Watching her as she sat down in front of him on the bar Drew couldn't help but smirk a little. "Hey there." He said as he suddenly found her looking him over. "Having fun?" He hardly needed to ask but she seemed to be in a playful mood so he decided to play along. It was a shame they had to go back really. The fun was coming to an end too soon but maybe they could make this last night interesting. "You looked like you were in any case."

Well this had turned out a lot better than he had planned. Drew wasn’t sure how he had gotten this lucky as things didn’t tend to go this well for him but his plan to get Viv away from camp had gone over pretty much without a hitch. More than that they had actually had a good time too. Sneaking around Las Vegas, getting into trouble, partying like there was no tomorrow. This was the life and Drew was pretty firmly convinced that if it weren’t for it all having to end eventually he would be pretty content to keep going. The problem was that it did have to end and as much as Drew didn’t like to think about it the time was getting pretty close.
The good news was that the Kraken attack was surely over by now. Camp was either there or it wasn’t. Either way hopefully the bitch that was blackmailing him and who had it out for Viv’s life had gotten herself killed in the chaos. Otherwise he might be walking them right back into a bad situation. He couldn’t think about that though. They had to go back eventually and when they got there he would deal with any lingering issues from the usurpers when and if they popped up.
For now he was going to enjoy the night and as he made his way over to the bar where Viv was dancing he couldn’t help but watch her up there strutting her stuff with appreciation. She was pretty amazing even if she didn’t see it. Sitting down at the bar he ordered them both a drink a leaned back to watch her. He gave a few wolf whistles and as their drinks came he held one up to her. “You look like you could use this with as much as you’re moving up there.”

"Really I'm just surprised he's actually letting me." Drew said with a shrug. "I guess if he wants to kill me afterwards that will be up to him." Zeke seemed alright, at least for the moment. Drew supposed he should be happy about that considering that cats really knew how to scratch you up if they didn't like you. Still, he wasn't entirely convinced that Zeke was just happy to be in Viv's lap. Zeke might even think that it was Viv giving him the attention. Who knew?
Their cab pulled up and Drew decided to leave the cat to Viv as he grabbed his bag. "Sin city huh? I thought you said you had never been here before." He gave her a smirk at the teasing and walked over to start putting their things in the car. "Granted I'd be lying if I said I was any better." Drew got in the cab, gave the driver the address of the hotel and waited on Viv to join him. "Guess we'll just have to make the place a little worse in the time that we have." He wasn't sure where this little adventure of theirs was going to take them but at least it looked like it was off to a good start.

Drew raised an eyebrow at her when Viv mentioned Zeke normally not letting people pet him. Honestly Drew was a little surprised himself as he traditional had trouble with animals not to mention the fact that Viv always talked about the cat like her protector. "Maybe he figures I'm not going to be around long enough to waste his time." He said absently as he continued to pet Zeke while the cat let him. "Don't look at me though. I just thought I should make nice if I was going to be around him for a few days."
He wasn't going to read anything into the cat thing. They were pretty fickle a lot of times anyways letting you pet them one minute and then the next minute attacking your fingers. Still, it was a nice change of pace to find at least one pet that seemed to get along with him, at least for now. "Alright so we'll lock the addict up and then hit the town. Sounds like a plan though it doesn't look like we'll have to search too long to find something interesting to do around here."

"And here I thought you were coming along just for the gambling." Drew said with a chuckle as she mentioned her preference for a soft bed. He didn't think they would have any trouble finding something more than sleep to do on this trip in fact, he was kind of looking forward to it. Maybe neither of them were much of the relationship type but that didn't mean they couldn't still have fun together. They had a pretty good thing going here and there was no reason to muck it up by committing to something that neither of them could hold to.
"I think I got all the important stuff covered. They even didn't even mind pets." Drew glanced down at Zeke. He didn't get the chance to see the cat much but with them being gone a few days he figured they would be seeing enough of each other soon and he might as well make nice. He had never been a huge fan of pets but cats he could at least deal with. That being the case he reached over to scratch Zeke behind his ears. "So what do you think we should do first? Gamble all our cash away or maybe just tour the strip. It's definitely as 'flashy' as they always show in the movies."

Viv hadn't lost her sarcasm when they shadow traveled so Drew figured she wasn't in too bad shape. Still, having a place for her to rest would no doubt do them both some good before they hit the town. "Shut it." He said with a grin. "Ancient or not it will get the job done. Plus I don't see you offering any ideas." With her sitting down he was pretty sure that she would be alright for a minute or two. It wasn't like he was going far anyways. "Just relax and enjoy the sights for a minute. I mean hey, we're in Vegas."
Still smiling a bit at that last part he left her there and headed for the phone he had seen earlier. A little searching and a few calls later and Drew had secured a room and transportation. Nobody could accuse him of not knowing how to take care of himself. After he had finished up he returned to Viv and plopped down beside her and Zeke. "Cab should be coming soon so we can sit back, relax and enjoy the sights a bit. Hotel won't be much but it beats sleeping outside. Did I miss anything?"

He didn't know if Viv's sex drive needed to get amped up or not. In his experience things tended to get a little wild between them without any help but he wouldn't complain. What happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas after all and she was right, they would have plenty of time to test out that theory once they got there. Right now it would just be something else to look forward to and the way things were shaping up he thought this trip was going to be alright.
Viv seemed to be ready to go and that was fine with him. He was sure that she knew her abilities better than he did and he wasn't going to argue with her on them. If she thought she could do it then he saw no reason to doubt her. Still, he did step a little closer to her just in case his closeness helped somehow. He had never shadow traveled before and he wanted to make sure there wasn't any trouble on his end.
As it turned out shadow travel was a lot easier than he thought. There were a few seconds of cold, prickliness that was kind of uncomfortable and creepy but when they reappeared on the loud, brightly colored streets of Los Vegas everything was okay. At least for him. Viv stumbled but Drew reacted quickly by wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her up for support. "Easy there." He said as he braced her and helped her over to a nearby bench. "Yeah I'm thinking a hotel would be good too. Wait here and I'll make some calls at the payphone over there. Next time just remind me to have a cab waiting for us when we go warping across the country."

Drew chuckled as she mentioned getting really into sports when she got drunk. “You’re kidding me? I definitely didn’t see you as the sporty type. Maybe it’s the whole athletic guy in uniform thing that you like. Though knowing handle to handle your balls is pretty important.” This was something he was definitely going to have to experiment with once he got Viv out on the town. He wasn’t too much for drinking, cigarettes were more his vice, but he would give good money to see sporty Viv in all her glory.
So they were really doing this. They were going to Vegas. Drew had to admit he was kind of excited about the idea. Here they were about to go out and have some real fun and for Drew at least he thought that this was long overdue. The next thing he knew though Viv was grabbing his hand. “Shadow travel?” He hadn’t known Viv could do that but he guessed it was alright. It was too bad though as he kind of liked hitch hiking across the country. “Sure, why not? So long as you don’t kill yourself trying before I get to see Sporty Viv. Let’s do it.”

Honestly Drew would have killed for a normal life. Hell, he would have killed for a normal demigod life. It wasn't like he was asking for much after all. Living a half life though, a life where he let some disease slowly kill him while controlling the things he did would have been much worse. So Drew found the middle ground. He didn't know how long he had so he had decided to not live by anyone's rules but his own. That wasn't too say he didn't have regrets but he did always do the things he thought were best for him, for others and even the gods. Still, he couldn't help but find a little bit of bitter irony in Viv's words. That was okay though. He liked Viv and her kidding aside he really didn't think that the Vegas thing was such a bad idea.
"Yeah who would want a boring life?" He said with another huff of amusement. Drew watched as she spun around to wink at him and that made him smile a little. She was cute when she acted like this and he liked it. "I'll just have to make sure I treat you very nefariously then and yeah the Vegas thing wasn't a bad idea. I've never been either." This idea was sounding better by the minute and the thought of a little extra time away with Viv wasn't exactly a bad thing. Why shouldn't they go and in the end he guessed there wasn't any reason not to. "I'm up for it if you are." He said with a shrug. "Like I said, I don't have the time to waste sticking around here and who knows what will happen if we both get drunk enough in Vegas."

Drew quirked an eyebrow as he walked along with her. The whole Vegas thing was obviously so blown out of proportion that she couldn't be serious but the words still sounded funny coming out of her mouth. Here she was joking about running off together when he was thinking it didn't sound like a half bad idea. Oh sure they didn't have to go all out and get married like she was talking about but instead of thinking why he was thinking why not? It would certainly make things simpler. "I don't think I'm going to be marrying anyways. Who's got the time right?"
He gave a dry chuckle at the idea of him getting married and trying to carry on a relationship with what little time he had. It was a pretty comical but he had stopped joking about his illness long ago. With his thoughts so set he hardly recognized Viv stopped behind him as she spoke and it wasn't until he glanced back and noticed she was a few steps away that he came to a stop as well. "What if it was? Don't tell me that you would rather stay in camp being cooped up for the rest of your life. There's more to this life than what the gods have planned for us and I for one don't have the time to waste."

Drew caught her wink and smiled just a bit. The company was nice. He could agree with that sentiment. He liked Viv, felt like she was one of the few people that actually got him or at least came close to it considering he didn’t know if anyone could really get him or his situation. Maybe there was something in their shared closeness to death that helped them find some kind of deeper connection. Drew didn’t know and doubted he would ever get the chance to considering what was coming. Still, he was going to enjoy this while it lasted.
“Yeah? Well if you enjoy it so much maybe we can have a little fun while we’re out. No reason to be in a hurry to get back and when’s the last time you were able to have a good time without the watchful eyes of Chiron on you?” Taking a few long steps to catch up to her so he was walking beside her he added. “Besides, once were out it’s easier to stay out than get back in. At least until the harpies stop patrolling.”

“A centaur in an ATV. That sounds like a recipe for disaster.” He said as he started heading for the forest. It was good to hear her joking with him again. A moments ago he had been sure she was ready to kill him but now things seemed more normal. Granted she probably still would kill him once she found out what he was keeping from her and what he knew but what was that to him? He had been dying all his life and he was pretty sure her could handle the wrath of one angry Hades girl even if it was deserved.
“I don’t want to give him a chance though. I’m trying to keep everyone from figuring out what’s going on after all.” He was sticking to his story for now which was easy enough because it was true in a sense. The camp didn’t know and he preferred to keep it that way especially since it was someone finding out that had gotten him into this whole mess to begin with. He didn’t think Viv would ask too many questions and that was good. It helped make sure he didn’t mess this up too soon and have her running back here to get herself hurt or killed. That would defeat the whole purpose of this little trip and he didn’t want that. “You know mine so what’s your reason for rushing? Got somewhere you gotta be in the morning?”

Drew smirked a bit when she teased him. He wasn’t that worried that he had to watch over her every move especially now that he knew that he would be able to get her away from here in time. It even felt a little right to have her tease him, like maybe he really was doing what was best here, but then again he could never fully get rid of that nagging suspicion that this was going to go badly. Still, he didn’t think that she would really need his help packing. “Not like I’ve had too much trouble seeing your underwear so far but yeah packing light is good.” He commented with a bit of his old sarcasm but he nodded all the same. “I’ll be waiting for you when you get back.”
Wait he did and even a bit more patiently than when he hadn’t known if she was going to show up or not. He needed time to think and thankfully the break for her packing gave him that opportunity. A few days. He only had to keep her away a few days and then he could come clean and bring her back. Hopefully that bitch Hannah would be killed in the fight for the camp but he didn’t think he would be that lucky. If not he would have to do something about her himself but at least Viv would be safe for a while. Granted she would probably want nothing to do with him after she knew but it was what it was. He had gone through most of his life without anyone understanding him and he didn’t need that to change now. All he needed was a few days.
He glanced up when Viv returned and breathed a silent sigh of relief when he saw she had brought the cat. The last thing he needed was to save Viv only to bring her back to her one true friend being dead. He wasn’t so cruel as to think that would be okay. Thankfully he was ready to go to begin with and when Viv seemed to be as well he actually got a feeling for the first time that this might actually work out. Only time would tell but step one was out of the way. “The only other choice I’ve got is to get on with dying so yeah we can head out. Come on I want to at least get some distance before dawn that way Chrion can’t come drag us back before we get going.”
