"Yeah I was getting that." Tawny said with a chuckle. "But it's okay. You don't have to make any exceptions for me. I usually find ways to entertain myself even if it's just tweaking my board. Course you probably don't want to hear about all that." Speaking of her board she reached down to grab it and sat up a little to give it a quick look over. She could have gone on about customizations she had done and was planning to do but she tried to only talk about it with the guys who actually understood what she was saying. Of course Archer might surprise her but he didn't seem the skateboarding type.
"See, there's nothing to worry about. You can get away from me and look cool doing it." She had seen the teleporting power that Mercury gave his kids sometimes and yeah as far as powers went it was pretty sweet. It wouldn't have surprised her if Archer could do it too so she didn't think that much about it when he told her he had it. Sill, she could only imagine how useful an ability like that could be. "Bet I could knock out some pretty wicked moves if I could teleport around like that. Too bad you can't let me borrow that power of yours for a while."

Tawny chuckled as Danielle suddenly got very excited about being late and waved the girl on to do what she had to do. “Go on.” She said still laughing. “Don’t let me hold you up. I’ll be around and we can talk more about it then okay?” Tawny watched the girl hurry to clean up her things before heading towards the door. Thankfully she didn’t have anywhere that she had to be herself but at least she had a set of wheels to get her there a little faster if she did. Hopefully Danielle wouldn’t be too late meeting her brother. “She ya around Danielle.” She called after the girl with another chuckle as she headed out the door.

"Mostly harmless." She corrected him. Tawny could already tell that Archer's dreams were going to be fun ones. Maybe she would say hi to him sometime or maybe she would just see what he thought about. Usually it was like catching a good movie with the things some people came up with. Archer though, she wasn't so sure. She would have to make it a point to stop in some evening just to check on him especially since he practically invited her just now. Rookie mistake.
"Nah, there's nothing to feel awkward about. Unless you got something against hanging out with girls." She smirked at him again. Maybe he was one of those shy and quiet types. He certainly gave off that vibe but if that was the case she really didn't mind. Tawny was about as laid back and easy to get along with as they come. "You can stick around. The leg will be fine but if you need an excuse that works about as well as any. I don't bite and you could probably out run me if I tried at this point."

"Sounds that way." Tawny said as she finished up her food. "We could put up some fliers or something asking if anyone had interest to get in touch with us. We probably need to see what kind of events everyone wants to see and once we know what competitions we're going to have we'll know what we need to present to the Praetors. Sound like a plan?" Tawny was already thinking of some places around town where they could advertise. Anywhere that was going to be frequented by a lot of demigods who might have that competitive streak would be good and fortunately those were the kinds of people Tawny hung out with the most.
"I know a few guys who could probably help us get the word out. A couple of my Mercury uncles still live in town and they are always up for crazy sports stuff. I'll check around with the people I know and see if we can't drum up some interest and in the mean time we can start thinking about how we are going to get this past Fin."

"Nah holding people hostage isn't my style." She said getting a good chuckle at his comments. Okay maybe the dream thing was a little weird but it was a lot of fun and you could do anything in your dreams. There was no getting busted up knees either when she was in charge. Mostly though Tawny just liked to observe. You could learn a lot about people in their dreams especially if they were open enough. "I'm mostly harmless these days. Mostly."
She could have pushed the subject but didn't want to tease him too hard. She wasn't that much of a shameless flirt after all. "Seriously though, thanks for fixing me up. You're a pretty cool guy Archer." She set back down on her bed and stretched out. "You heading out or planning to stay around? You don't have to leave if you don't want to but I should be alright now that I've been patched up I think."

Danielle as right. They may have been just a figure skater and a skateboarder but that didn't necessarily mean they were destined for failure. Besides, when had the threat of failure ever stopped Tawny from doing something she wanted to do? There was more too. There was just something appealing about going up against huge odds and somehow pulling off the impossible and while she certainly didn't think something like this was impossible it would definitely be a pretty tall order for the both of them.
"I like the way you think Danielle." Tawny said with a deciding nod before chugging the rest of her energy drink. She was feeling much more alive now and this idea of theirs seemed pretty awesome. "Alright I'm in. We'll make the Praetors an offer they can't refuse, drum up some interest around New Rome and camp and then we are totally going to crush some Roman Olympic games. This is going to be one wild ride."

He was probably right. The Romans did have some pretty extreme punishments for those who broke the rules, especially those who would hurt the Legion in some way. Tawny guessed that was why she didn’t want to see any of those things happen to Archer. He wasn’t a bad guy after all and getting some stupid punishment over a few pieces of candy was a bit much. Keeping things quiet like this and no one having to deal with the messy Roman legalities was the better alternative by far.
“I know.” She said with a playful smile that showed that she knew what he had said, that she didn’t care and that she would probably remind him of his first aid work the next time she saw him just to tease him. He had been her medic after all. She kept that playful smile as she watched him get up and stretch. She supposed he had places to be and she did too though she thought she might take it easy in her bunk for a while just to give her leg a rest and maybe give her time to get out of her torn jeans. Still Archer didn’t have to know that. “I think you’ll find I’m pretty hard to forget and if not you never know, you might just see me in your dreams.”

“We probably would at least have to make a show of it. I’m not sure how she would take just being handed the gold medal without a fight.” Danielle was right about Cheyenne being intense. The Praetor would likely view a medal not earned as one that wasn’t worth winning. There might still be a few ways to get it by her however. “Maybe we can convince Fin to put up enough of a fight to make things interesting. At least then she might think that she beat out the competition.”
It was amazing how fast this idea was coming together. If they could work out some more competitions and drum up a little interest among the demigods then it might just turn into more than idea. They only way to make that happen though was to go through the Praetors one way or the other. “Sure thing. I don’t know how much help one skateboarder will be but I’m down. If we actually make this work I think we would be responsible for one of the most awesome things this place has seen in a while.”

Tawny chuckled. "I don't know how many other people would be up to going against her. I'm pretty crazy but I don't have a death wish." She was kidding...mostly. Honestly she didn't know who she felt sorry for more, the person who went up against Cheyenne or the person that actually beat her. Either way karate wasn't really Tawny’s thing but it was another sport to add to their growing list of events people could sign up for. Maybe this thing could come together after all.
"I could do a little surfing. Anything with a board is pretty awesome in my book but I hear you. Having some variety is always good." This idea was sounding better and better by the minute. The only real question was how did they get this thing off the ground? "Hey, if you need somebody to help you present the idea to the Praetors I'd be up for it. This idea may just be crazy enough to work."

"Alright." She said and gave him a wink. "Just would hate to see a good medic sentenced to the stocks or whatever it is they do around here." She had no doubt he would be fine, most Mercury guys got by without any issues and they stole stuff a lot more valuable than a few pieces of candy. He had his reasons and that was all she really needed to know. Maybe he would tell her more someday but now want really the time.
She shrugged when he called her out on her knee hurting and she supposed she better come clean. She liked the guy and there was no one around so she guessed it wouldn't look too bad owning up to it. "Yeah, maybe a little. Awesome things do a lot of times though and I like awesome things." It was a philosophy that she had learned from her mom, another Mercury demigod who was pretty awesome herself, and it had served her well so far. "Just remember some flaws can turn out pretty good."

"Probably a good idea." Tawny said as she downed more of her drink. "Nothing against the queen bee but she can seriously harsh my mellow sometimes. It's all good though because surely we could find enough people who had some real interest." Who knew if it would go anywhere but the thought of getting to have an actual fun competition instead of the constant War Games was pretty compelling. You didn't even have to be a demigod to get behind that idea.
"Sounds like you've been thinking about this a lot. You got anything planned?" Granted this wouldn't come together tomorrow or anything like that but it was just smart to have your ducks in a row if you were putting on something this big. For her own part Tawny didn't even know how they would begin to get something like this organized. Still, maybe Danielle had been doing a little more than brain storming. "Bet we could even do most of it in the coliseum if we wanted."

Maybe she would see him around. They were in the same cohort after all and it wasn't like it was hard to miss a crazy blonde girl riding around New Rome on a skateboard. Tawny would just have to make sure she kept her eyes out for him now that she knew he was on the level. "Me? I hardly ever get hurt." She said with a chuckle. Tawny had more bumps and scrapes than many people had in their lifetime but she wouldn't really call that getting hurt. He kind of surpass her though when instead of asking for something cheesy like a kiss or a date, a request she would have probably refused just because she liked to play with the guys who thought like that, he asked for her not to rat him out. That made her laugh a little. "Thought we were good on that. I don't want to rat you out. Snitches get stitches or something like that. Besides, it's not that big of a deal and yeah I know it kind of spoils the fun but I wasn't kidding about the good chocolate either." She shook her head at him and smiled before playfully teasing him some more. "It may be a good idea to work on not getting caught though."

"I can show you if you want me too." She said with a grin as he went to get a bandage. "It's not like I like showing off or anything." She was being sarcastic of course. Tawny loved showing off her tricks. What was the point of doing something cool if you only kept it to yourself after all. If Archer was really interested and she saw no reason why he wouldn't be she would take him out to the skate park aka New Rome and really show him some good ones. Right now though it looked like he was almost finished patching her up.
"Yeah you can have a lot of fun with dreams. I've been doing it since I was little and I haven't even found all the possibilities. It's also fun to just sit back and watch sometimes too. Dreams can tell you a lot about a person." She watched as the boy put the bandage on her knee. It didn't hurt nearly as bad now that she was all patched up and he had done a pretty good job of that to boot. She supposed she owed Archer a few candies after that but for Tawny the stealing had never really been an issue. Instead she was just happy he had turned out to be a pretty cool guy in the end. "You’re pretty handy to have around you know?" She said with a smirk as she moved she moved her leg around admiring the work. So what do I owe ya doc?”

Pairs might be her best shot but Tawny could see how meeting other top class ice skaters would be a bit difficult in New Rome. Unless her brother suddenly took up and interest she imagined that Danielle probably was really screwed which was never a fun feeling. There was no way around it…or was there? Tawny had never thought about it before but why didn’t they have Roman Olympics or X-Games competitions? Sure they weren’t Greeks but the gods technically did invent the games and there were more than enough super talented demigods here to make it happen.
“I think it would be a great idea. Don’t know how much interest we would have but I would definitely be up for the challenge.” She opened her can of red bull and took a swig enjoying the rush of energy she got which was a welcome relief from the sleepy haze. “I’d be willing to bet we weren’t the only ones either and hey, it would be a totally awesome break from training and the war games. Why not give it a shot?”

Tawny called it like she saw it and yeah Curling was definitely a weird sport for the Olympics. Sliding rocks and sweeping ice was quite a bit different than snowboarding, skiing or even ice skating. Those at least provided some thrills. There was nothing thrilling about curling at all that Tawny could see. “I hear you. Honestly all that sweeping they do seems more like work than fun.”
The laughing soon stopped though as the conversation got a little serious. Apparently the Olympics were a pretty sore topic with the girl which was a bummer. Tawny could understand. Most ice skaters, at least women, usually participated when they were young. That didn’t really work well with a demigod whose main job it was to serve in the legion. While Tawny could still look forward to some years ahead of her like her mom, Danielle would probably never get the chance at the Olympics, at least in ice skating. “That’s a major drag but I get it. Maybe you could do some ice dancing or pairs, they're usually older and you’d still be doing what you love.”
