She wasn’t sure what he was motioning for but figure she would find out soon enough. Until then she would reserve her judgment on how much her pride would be hurt. “I’ll take your word for it.” She said as she turned her attention back to the idea of the pizza. “You’ll have to teach me some time. Just not for a few days. That’s how long I think it’s going to take before I can eat again. You really know your stuff Archer. I’ve got to hand it to you.”
As the wheelchair pulled up it took Tawny a minute to realize what Archer was talking about. It wasn’t until he mentioned her chariot that everything clicked into place. “A wheelchair? Really?” Tawny asked as her face brightened with a grin. She couldn’t believe he was actually going to roll her home but she thought the idea of Archer pushing her along in a wheelchair was just hilarious. She had to give him props for that one and as far as hurting her pride went she loved the idea so there were no worries on that count. “You’re crazy.” She said while still smiling. “But it’s my kind of crazy. I love it!” Chuckling to herself Tawny slid out of her seat and unceremoniously deposited herself in the wheelchair with her skateboard across her lap. Putting on a fact British accent as if she was a noble woman talking to her butler she added “I fear it’s time for us to depart. Home my good man.”

Tawny had eaten way too much. She knew she should have stopped but she had kept going out of sheer stubborn will. That wasn’t to say that the food was bad. To the contrary it was some of the best pizza she had ever eaten and getting to hang out with Archer was nice. Now that they were finally done though Tawny could honestly say that she was happy this experience was over. Next time she wasn’t going to challenge Archer to an eating contest. He had won this round.
“You may have to roll me back to the barracks.” Tawny said with a half chuckle. She would have laughed a little harder but right now her belly was so full it hurt to disturb it too much. “I know when I’ve met my match. I surrender.” Picking up a white napkin she waved it feebly in the air before sinking back into her chair. “At least we finished it though. I was starting to worry there for a minute but you came through."

“That’s only if I lose.” Tawny said cheerfully. It was clear that no matter what he thought Tawny was under the impression that she could always be a competitor and maybe she could. She certainly wasn’t one to turn down a challenge even if she didn’t overcome it. Besides, even if she lost she was left with the knowledge that she tried and did her best which was sometimes a reward in itself. “Maybe not but I’ve found that if you don’t try then you’re sure not gonna win. The trick is making sure that you win more than you lose.”
To be honest Tawny liked the thrill of the competition more than anything else. If she never challenged herself then she would never be able to come up with new tricks and if she never competed with anyone how was she supposed to know how good she was getting? That being the case she looked for ways to make most things into a competition even if it was something as simple as eating a massive pizza. “Don’t tell me that you’re scared of losing to a girl.” She said with a smirk and poked him under the table as she started on another piece of pizza. She didn’t think he was but a little teasing might make him come around to her way of thinking and even get them hanging out again.

Tawny watched Masin curiously as they walked and talked. Well really it was more walking than talking but she was learning a little bit more about the girl she had bumped into and that was always interesting. Honestly though she was kind of surprised by how stiff and formal Masin sounded. In Tawny’s experience even the stiffest of centurions could drop the super serious Roman routine for a bit. Masin though sounded like she was kind of not used to bumping into sleep walking people and carrying on ideal chit chat.
Tawny didn’t mind much but it might be a long walk if all they had to talk about was books, wine and classic music which were all things that had a little trouble holding the blonde girl’s attention. Oh well, it would just have to fall to Tawny to keep things moving on which she did by chuckling a little in that carefree way she had and then picking up the conversation where Masin left it. “Sounds pretty chill to me. Nobody can be all duty and honor all the time am I right?” Tawny grinned as they walked on and then continued. “Guess I’m just the type to blow off steam outside. Always kinda been that way. Mom’s a Mercury demigod so that’s probably where it comes from. It’s cool though. Exciting. Nothing like pulling off a sick new trick that you don’t know if you can land. It really gets the blood pumping.”

“That’s the trick Mercury boy. You’ve got to have endurance.” Tawny mumbled between bites. She already knew that this probably wasn’t a battle that she was going to win but she definitely didn’t want to throw in the towel just yet. Besides, she was having fun talking and teasing Archer and wasn’t that the entire reason she had made that bet with him in the first place because she wanted to hang out with him again?
“You know.” She said with a sudden change of tone as she ate. “We may have to make a habit of this betting thing. Maybe not so good on your wallet when I keep winning but this has been fun.” Tawny watched him over her pizza slice to try and gauge his reaction. Maybe looking for a few more opportunities to hang out with Archer wouldn’t be such a bad thing and if she could have a little fun in the meantime then why not? “If you’re up for it that is.”

Tawny chuckled around a mouth full of pizza. She was starting to get the idea that maybe invading Archer’s dreams wasn’t such a bad idea. Maybe not to torture him with nightmares but just to play around with him a bit. It had been a while since she had gone exploring in someone else’s dreams but she liked Archer and well, the people she liked generally took her intrusions better. He would just have to make sure that he watched himself the next time he fell asleep.
“Oh I have my ways.” She said with a knowing grin. “You just wait. One night when you least expect it I’m going to make sure you have a nightmare you’re never going to forget.” For the most part Tawny’s bark was worse than her bite when it came to dreams. She wasn’t that scary but she did like having fun and she could be pretty mischievous. Something that Archer was about to find out. Right now though there was pizza to eat and Tawny wasn’t slowing down as she took another slice. “Better pick up the pace if you’re going to beat me or are you already giving up?”

"Point taken. I’ll keep that in mind the next time I win a bet and have to force you to pay." Tawny said as she went back for a second piece. As a natural competitor she knew how to give credit where credit was due and as far as she was concerned Archer deserved some props. He had impressed her and that was something to be proud of as Tawny wasn't exactly easy to impress.
As far as the food was concerned she knew when she was beat. That first slice had filled her up more than she could have guessed and she was already starting to think she wouldn't be able to beat him. Between the two of them they would be able to do alright but it was a lot of food. Still, she wasn't about to admit defeat just yet. The night was still young and there was no telling how things might turn out.
"It was a one-time thing." She said between bites. "Honest, I haven't been back to the infirmary since." She knew he was teasing and she wasn't really feeling all that defensive. She felt pretty comfortable with Archer around and she was glad he could give as good as he got. "You know, I would be careful. Make me mad and you might end up getting the Sink right in the face the next time you fall asleep. I can be your worst nightmare. Literally." She grinned at him playfully for a moment but had to stop to chase down a particularly gooey strand of cheese that was about to get away from her.

If Masin was showing in trepidation about having Tawny as company the blonde girl didn't seem to notice. Over all she had a fairly easy going character and didn't tend to put much stock in what others thought of her. Something that came in handy if she did happen to get yelled at for not taking things quite as seriously as many of her Roman counterparts. As far as Tawny was concerned though so far Masin wasn't getting all stressed out like most of the centurions so that made her okay in Tawny's eyes.
"Cool, cool." The sleepy girl said as she started walking along. The third's barracks wasn't that far and it would be nice to have someone to talk to along the way. "So what about you Masin? Seems like I've been telling all this stuff about me but what do you do, well aside from all the centurion-y stuff of course." Tawny couldn't be certain but she was getting the feeling that Masin was a little more reserved than she was. That wasn't too surprising as most Romans generally were but maybe she could get the centurion girl to open up some with a little work.

Masin seemed to think Tawny was in some kind of danger which made her chuckle a little bit. If walking around half asleep was the most dangerous thing she did she would probably end up in the infirmary a lot less. No, compared to her normal death defying stunts a little sleep walking wasn't so bad in comparison. "Nah, I wouldn't be too worried about that. I do lots more dangerous stuff on my skateboard and dad usually sends me a dream or something to wake me up if I'm in too much danger. When it's the ones that don’t get forced on you then you tend to stop and enjoy them a bit."
Tawny spoke as if she had plenty of experience with both situations. The problem was she had far too many of those message dreams and not enough of the good ones that she could enjoy. That was okay though. She was pretty cool about it and aside from the occasional run in with someone no serious harm had been done yet. "But hey if you want to head back to the barracks with me I don't mind the company. You said you were a centurion right? I don’t know many of those. Granted that's usually because they majorly harsh my mellow by yelling at me to stop riding my board around camp but you seem pretty chill you know?"

As the pizza came out Tawny's eyes got as wide as saucers. Archer had said the pizza was big but this...well this was a lot of pizza. It was huge and Tawny could swear she saw every topping that had ever been imagined on a pizza. This was certainly a pizza worthy of its name and as it was put down in front of them on the table Archer must have caught a glimpse of her gawking because he commented on it almost instantly. Well she had asked for a challenge hadn't she? There was certainly no turning back now.
His words served to bring Tawny back to the here and now. She glanced back at Archer the silent 'o' of surprise that her mouth had been set in changing back to a grin and reached for the biggest slice she could find. "Does this answer your question?" She asked and then bit down into some of the best pizza she had in her life. That was one thing she could say about the Romans, the food was definitely awesome. "mmm...That's delicious. You weren't kidding huh?" She said as she swallowed her first bite. Then before digging in she added with a wink. "Good to see you're a better judge of pizza than you are skateboarders."

“Hey now I may not look like much but I’m full of surprises.” Tawny said with a chuckle. She knew how it looked. She was lean and lanky and looked like she barely weighed 100 pounds sopping wet. It was unsurprising he didn’t think she could handle it but all that riding around town tended to work up a girl’s appetite and she was not here to mess around whatever Archer might think. “Or maybe you’ve already forgotten that there is more to me than meets the eyes? You’re getting in a habit of underestimating me Archer.”
She would just have to show Archer that she could take anything he could throw at her. If seeing was believing then he better be prepared to have his eyes opened. “Oh I’m ready. I’ve never met a pizza I couldn’t conquer. You just make sure that bottomless pit of yours can keep up with me. I don’t want to be the one rolling you out of here when you reach your limit.”

The girl was looking at her like she was crazy and really Tawny guessed she could understand. People usually didn’t know how little sleep she had been getting lately because she held herself together pretty well. She was used to this sort of thing after all but it did make more sense when she explained a little about who she was. At least people seemed to get the whole dream thing that way. Speaking of which that was something that she probably should have started with and maybe it would have cleared the air some.
Ignoring the girl’s question for a moment Tawny held out hand with a grin. “Name’s Tawny and believe me it’s not as weird as it looks.” She paused and seemed to consider this comment for a moment, decide that it was pretty weird and then shrugged it off. “I’m a daughter of Somnia you see so dreaming is kinda my thing. As for why I’m doing it out here I guess I should have picked up an extra red bull or something in town cause I’m really…really…” Her sentence was interrupted by another long yawn and when it had finally passed Tawny continue. “Well you get the picture right?”

Tawny chuckled softly. "Oh not too much I was just having a pretty good dream just now and well...now I'm not." The blonde girl covered her mouth as she let out a long yawn. Waking up wasn't fun but waking up from a good dream when you hadn't had much sleep to begin with was even worse. Still, that didn't mean Tawny had to be a punk about it and besides, she was kind of getting used to waking up in situations like this as weird as that sounded.
"Didn't mean to get in the way though. Sometimes my feet take me where they want to go and I'm just along for the ride you know?" Tawny didn't know if the girl had any clue what she was talking about or not. It was what it was though and there was no sense feeling bad about it. "How about you. You aren't hurt are you?"

Sleep walking was one thing but sleep pacing? That was definitely a new one. Yet here Tawny was, walking back and forth in front of the 4th's barracks, eyes closed and happily snoozing. It was probably a testament to just how tired she really was that she had fallen asleep on her feet and walking back to her own barracks with the third but considering she was running on epic levels of insomnia here sometimes when you had to sleep, you had to sleep.
For her part she was having a pretty good dream for once. In fact she was just getting to the best part when she felt something crash into her and there was falling and flailing and who knew what else. Next she heard someone yelling but couldn't really tell what they were saying as her mind was still trying to figure out where she was. "Huh? Wha...?" Tawny looked around rubbing sleep out of her eyes and trying to stand up. "Oh Hey there. Guess I was in the way huh? Man, and just at the good part too..." The blonde girl let out a sigh but turned a smiling face up at this new person. "Oh well. Hey sorry about that though. No hard feelings?"

This wasn't bad. It wasn't bad at all. She was still pumped from showing off and with the prospect of free food getting closer she was riding on cloud nine. If Archer was being a little weird that was alright, she could handle it and if this place really was as good as he was saying then all the better. It would be interesting to see what he was playing at with the gentleman routine though. Tawny wasn't used to that at all.
"Woah now hold up. Nobody said I wasn't adventurous." She said with a chuckle. The lighthearted tone was back and it was obvious that he had said the magic words by changing this into a competition. "Besides 'The Sink' sounds like something I would like anyways." She was smiling at him now and continued to do so as she relaxed back into her seat. "I'm up for it if you are. I mean it couldn't be that bad. You've had it before and you're still alive to talk about it."
