It was always a project trying to find new hiding spots outside to relax and read a book. As more campers accumulated, they seemed to be exploring more as well. Almost every time Dom went out to get lost in a book, it seemed that he was being caught. And he hated that. If one were to look at Dom, they would think all he ever did was train and workout. While he did do these things, there was much more to the son of Athena than what met the eye. Although he hated to let that on.

Dom was laid out in the very back corner bench of the amphitheater with his latest book in his lap. A soothing wind rusted through the trees, and he felt he could completely let his guard down. The amphitheater wasn't the most popular spot in the middle of the day, and the boy took this to his full advantage. The place was peaceful, he could see everything around him, so he could see if someone was approaching. Or so he thought. He was into modern war stories lately, wanting to learn about the modern tactics that he could possibly incorporate into Camp Half Blood's fighting style. His passion for fighting and warfare reflected in his taste in books.

The demigod had come out here to get away from the daily rush of camp. Today had been a bit stressful, and he just wanted to get away from it. Word was going around that the Greek and Roman camps were against each other. The whole camp gave off a tense vibe, and some kept looking to the Athena kids to come up with a solution. Dom needed to get away from the pressure, so thus, here he was, trying to get out of his bad mood.

Dom had no idea what this girl could want from him, or the meaning of her encounter. He was a realist though, so unless things were straight facts Dom had a hard time wrapping his head around them anyway. Maybe she just wanted attention? He could somewhat understand that, as camp was pretty boring now a days with no monsters or usurpers to fight. He was growing quite bored himself, so maybe this would lead to something more fun for once. It was odd for Dom to think like this, as he usually preferred to stick to his own schedule, but a little change here and there never hurt anyone.

Listening to the girl, he learned her name and went to shake her offered hand. Then she said her godly parent. "Oh, nice to meet, you. I'm Dominic Jaskot, Son of Athena." Hecate.... Oh shit, Dom thought. That was the one who knew a ton of spells. He didn't want to completely betray her trust at their first impression though, so he thought he'd make a joke. So, he went to take Ridley's hand but then withdrew. "Wait, you're not gonna cast a spell on me if I touch you, right?" He gave her a pretty convincing smile, but at the same time he wouldn't be surprised if she did just to mess with him.

Dom turned his head and looked back at the cabin to make sure the door had closed behind him, when suddenly he turned back his head to find a girl just inches from him face. He stopped abruptly, nearly crashing into her. "What the..." He almost cursed under his breath. "Uh hi, yeah, me either." Dom wasn't usually awkward when it came to girls, he just let them make the first move. Whether it was just talking or flirting, the son of Athena generally wasn't one to start a conversation. Even at that, he was a man of few words.

Looking at the smiling girl, he had no idea who she was. Dom was kind of a loner around camp, only hanging out with his siblings and the occasional guy friend in his inner circle. "Sorry, I don't think I've seen you around before, you are?" Trying not to be rude, Dom questioned the girl.

Dominic was tossing and turning in his bunk, unable to fall back asleep. All he wanted was a mid-day nap, still feeling drained of energy from yesterday's training. Eyes wide open and staring at the ceiling, he threw the covers off himself and swung his legs over the side of his bed. Screw it. Dom stood and stretched, reaching up as far as he could, contracting and releasing the tension in his muscles. Not only was he still tired, but his arms and shoulders felt the effect of swinging his sword for hours the day before.

Pulling on a white t-shirt and basketball shorts over his boxers, Dom sat down at his absurdly organized desk. He had built pen and pencil organizer drawers, installed shelves above, paper organizers to the side, and a lamp above. Everything was color-coordinated and in alphabetical order. The dude was a freak, but he honestly didn't care. No one came into his room except for his half-brother, and he knew better than to mess with Dom's things. If people stayed out of his stuff, he generally didn't have a problem with them. 

It was time to write his schedule for tomorrow. He started writing on his legal pad like this;
06:00 - Wake up
06:15 - Three mile run
07:00 - Breakfast
08:00 - Find a new reading spot
11:00 - Pick a new book
12:00 - Lunch
13:00 - Ropes training
15:30 - Nap
16:00 - Shower and research
18:30 - Dinner and campfire
 22:00 - Bed

Satisfied with his work, Dominic put his pen down and got out of his chair. He was craving a snack, so he thought he'd head down to the mess hall. Slightly jogging out the door, he left without putting any of his things away, the door slapping against the wooden frame as he exited.

Oh, do you mean Ridley? That could be funny! Just know you might make an enemy out of Dom, he can get pretty moody when things don't go his way or people ruin his organizational system. Were you thinking her going into his cabin or something?
