Seth felt that he could've had a whiplash at any moment I mean sheesh this guy could talk. This guy could talk A LOT...and in some weird way it was strangely welcoming. Looking back, he could barely pinpoint a few moments where a guy, or anyone for that matter, could spew off so many things at once in his direction without lecturing or spitting acid drool -yeah it happened-. The slap on the back was surprising but he felt no ill will with it. The child of Hecate by all means was just trying to be friendly, so he should try to return in kind? Although, this Theo character had definitely created quite the profile on Seth. Red lights should've gone off when he was approached with the 'dark clouds' comment but the whole 'getting himself down' analysis definitely struck a couple strings. An internal sigh was warranted and justifiable. The brooding type huh? That's twice now...
Seth was still trying to gather himself from the onslaught of words. Were they questions? Comments? Quips? He tried to keep up but whenever he began to let out breath to answer this Theo had already moved onto another thought. It was bewildering to say the least. Logic dictated that Seth's best bet was to just simply wait until he could get a turn. Immediately this made the conversation more enjoyable. Now he could just lay back and listen and actually gather and hear all the rambling, which was too some degree charming he'd admit.
"Well-" he saw his chance and he took it, "-to backtrack only a little bit...let's just say that I've built myself a reputation although slightly exaggerated if you ever ask me. I don't really know what you're quite capable of but by the ease in which you claim to produce dark clouds, and your love for quips, maybe the Clown Menace? He paused for a moment and frowned. "Although, that sounds like I'm calling you the Joker though...not sure if you'd take that as a complement. As for stress well...you have no idea...or I have no idea..." He grinned ever so slightly at the verbage. "I can never tell. Usually a cup of coffee is all I need. Anyways, are you planning on walking all the way to Cabin 13 with me? Let me tell you, you can't ever talk about doom and gloom without Cabin 13."

"Oh- uh no no I'm fine really." The pop in his shoulder as he stretched said otherwise. "Ugh" the groan couldn't have sounded any less encouraging either. "On second thought, I'll be happy to take one of those." Seth outstretched his hand -his bum still glued to the floor- and grabbed a bottle for himself. With a sigh of relief, the demigod had opted to place the cold beverage pressed firmly onto his neck rather than go for a swig. The coolness of the beer was just as good as any cold patch he'd ever applied. Oh, he'd have to remember to actually drink it later. It took a moment before he could entirely get onto his feet, but by now, he had no incentive to look impressive. In fact, if he tried, he was more than certain to make a hiccup rather than redeem himself. He was the type to lay low anyways so there was no need to spring up onto his feet if it meant further damage to...his everything.
Staring up at the steps was like peering into his own close-call with death, funny but also frightening. Sheesh I survived that? he mumbled in amazement as he wrestled his gaze away. The girl appeared to be shaken up far more in contrast with than the boy. Hopefully he hadn't worried her too much I mean he barely knew her. Great I've been at camp more nothing longer than a blink and I get tangled up in more trouble. Wanting to assure her, he cracked himself a forced smile. He had learned than squinting his eyes helped a bit, especially since he was Asian. It took a while, but he'd like to have thought that he had mastered the 'eye smile' "If I'm ever in another tumble like that though I'll definitely give you a heads up haha your friend might come in handy then". He took the lightened atmosphere as a good segue to take a seat and he did so in welcome. "-Also, thanks for the beer"

Broody? Did he come off as broody? No....noooooo he wasn't the broody type, certainly...he couldn't be? Well yet again, it was the stereotype after all. Hey! Look there! You see the guy there? Yeah that one, the none exuding an aura of death, pain, misery, and oh surprise, broodiness! Humph, he mentally scowled at the thought. Silent, though, yes, he could get behind that. He was usually the yes sir, no sir, type when it came to taking order from his father, as much as he defied at some times. There, at one time, was a day when he had to rummage through chicken stool to fine a specific gold ingot that could.....oh never mind, thinking about it made his head swirl and his stomach churn. Anyways, to return to the time and place, if his ADHD would allow gods forbid, 'storm clouds'.
The camper identified himself as a son of Hecate, a layabout, and a general easygoing guy. He could recognize at least two of these to be true. With an eyebrow cocked, Seth reach out his hand in a gesture of peace and took Theo's. "Names Seth. Son of Hades. Shadow of Death, Harbinger of Hades, and self proclaimed coffee connoisseur. Pleasure."
It was certainly interesting to see how this Theo had so casually introduced himself to Seth. That made two campers since his early, yet by all accounts, prolonged stay here that others had approached him. Quite fascinating. For the most part, Seth could consider himself to be...the hard to approach type. Was it because he was broody? No, he wouldn't admit it. Ever. But just to check...
"So, now that you know...any quips you want to make? Get it out of your system? Yes, son of Hades. Runaway along if you want now, this is the part where most people get uncomfortable. I wouldn't blame you." With that, Seth retracted his hand and proceeded to indicate his intentions to return to his cabin.

On a second thought, just taking a seat at the top of an enormous amphitheater by his lonesome was probably a peculiar sight once he considered it. The fact that he was sitting down by his lonesome at the top of an enormous amphitheater...staring at two people, oh boy probably not a good look. Maybe it would be a better idea to just, slip on out of here? Find another spot to lay low and brood? Yes, good idea. The forest was always a good place to go to brood. His hammock, oh so nice and soft would be welcoming...
"Oi!" The voice had come unexpectedly, addressing Seth in mid action from sitting to standing, to oh no...falling. "You want to join us for this one?"
The son of the Underworld tumbled who knows how far down the steps of the amphitheater, his life, hysterically, flashing before his eyes with each thump, crack, and bruise as he fell completely onto his back spread eagle next to the voice. Oh, how heroic the harbinger of Hades, the Shadow of Death must have looked. His eyes twitched in a mixture of confusion and pain as he laid there, staring up at eyes most likely to be staring back. In shame, Seth averted his eyes to look upon the steps of the amphitheater. The once fine stones of Greek architecture were reverted into fissure. Hellfire burst from the cracks in subtle rhythm as the holes closed up almost as quickly as they opened. Yeah, he wasn't having the best day.
"Well...hello there. Is that beer? I'm good thanks."

Mister Creepy Forest Sleeper? How could the girl say that with a straight face? A smile almost etched itself through onto his face as the girl crossed her arms with spunk. He knew that she was being serious, but he couldn't quite see himself taking her oh too seriously. At least he was looser now than tense like he was earlier. Seth started to close the distance harmlessly, circling back and forth in normal rhythm as he spoke. "Daughter of Ares huh?" He whistled. "I don't think that it's really crap, also means that you have siblings in camp. Not crap." He allowed himself to walked closer to her rather than pacing back and forth. "Also means that your spunk makes some sense. I don't mean to profile though of course."
Seth crossed his arms together similarly to her posture as a silent jab from the earlier brow cock, but only briefly. "I'm Seth. It's nice to meet you Hunter." He stretched out his hand in invitation. "Son of Hades, lord of the Underworld...you know...and all that crap."

Cassie had a tendency to pause a lot he noticed. Maybe that was just how she was, but from experiences, be it his own or those he's run into, the trait was usually derived from a vastly troubled mind. Maybe Cassie had a lot of thoughts that he had to sort through? That wouldn't be surprising. Demigods tended to have ADHD, it was in our blood as a defensive mechanism against monsters and the like. Unfortunately, ADHD also had the effect of mucking one's thoughts. Or perhaps, as was common as another demon haunting demigods, was just misfortune. ...at least not since I lost my father when he went on a work trip" The words rang in his ears as he could only sympathize with her. Being a demigod...it wasn't easy. And being a mortal in the world of the gods, well, some could say that this was even worse. Her story did not surprise him either. It was as if fate willed the children of the gods to follow a path of misery in their ascension, their anguish masked with great powers.
All he could do really, was listen. Just listen. He had been so detached from this camp that he had almost forgotten the woes of his fellow demigods. He knew that he had it rough. He knew that he may have had it rougher than others. Still, that didn't mean that his despair had any more right to trump the miseries of others. All demigod children were special; they were loners in this world. Their continued steps through camp had led them far from the mess hall, away from the fires and the warmth of the indoors, and further into the growing night and the breeze that followed.

Well, it looked like he had done what he didn't want to do...which was frighten the poor girl. The girl had become defensive in an instant, an air of caution emanating from her space as she took hold of a pocket knife. A sigh escaped Seth's lips at the turn of events. He allowed his face to ever so slightly relax although he still maintained a sense of authority, or at least seniority over the young one as best as he could. The girl had cocked an eyebrow, similarly mirroring Seth's own facial expressions as he asked his queries. A possible attitude on this one huh? "I can ask you the exact same thing," the girl had retorted. His own eyes followed her gaze as it trailed towards the direction of his hammock. "Does Chiron even know that you're even out here? Are you supposed to be at camp?" Seth crossed his arms in response and took a moment to give the girl a one over assessment as he continued to cock an eyebrow at her. By assumption this stripling was most likely a camper by the way she had addressed Chiron. This wasn't altogether surprising at all seeing as how they were in the vicinity of the camp.
He allowed the pause in conversation carry for a moment briefly before he exhaled another sigh. "I sleep out here because I prefer it. I'm not entirely sure if Chiron knows or if he even cares, but no, I don't feel the necessity of being in the cabins..." Seth's eyes twitched, "there's no one waiting for me there anyways." Seth took note of the distance that the girl had created between the two as she continued to hold onto her knife. In a relenting 'jest' Seth removed his hand from his xiphos scabbard and raised both hands up to show that he was empty handed. "Now, I think you can put that away don't you think?" He nodded at her hand, "And also, you can tell me who you are now...and why you're going around poking people with sticks?"

(This first paragraph might be a bit weird but I'm using it to set something up later)
It was quite breathtaking really, when he thought about it. The sky glimmered with ripples, as if the ocean itself had inverted and became the sky. Within the folds of this ocean, were numerous sparkles, as countless as one could see spreading far across the realm. The stars and the moon had sunken deeply within this grand ocean, reflecting the endless sands underneath his feet in turn with the endless stars above. He reached out to touch this ocean, as fire erupted magnificently yet unsurprisingly from underneath himself. He was unperturbed by such phenomenon. The very ground beneath was just an extension of his will and his command. The fissures and fires from below the depths of the earth were the domain of his father; essentially...within his reach. But the stars, the moon, this silver ocean...it was outside his grasp. Only his eyes could keep any form of this wonder in front of him, as proof of its magnificence. Visions that these had been frequent for him lately, and naturally so. The things that he had seen, the things that he had to chase for half of his living life...they left him enclosed within his own head away from the rabble of the world. Of course, Seth knew that none of this was real, yet, he couldn't help but want to believe that this gargantuan ocean was...real. His body, his feet, laid still in one position as he reached out to the ocean again. With every passing moment the starts and the sparkles grew brighter, yet clearer as they did so. He could see faces, people, dreams, aspirations, things that he might have once known...and forgotten. He had been holding his breath the whole time - for how long he didn't know-. All he knew, was that his growing curiosity and wonder for these visions left him hungry, thirsty for more. He didn't want this to end. It was as if he was about to make a revelation, a breakthrough. The stars and visions continued and continued to grow in clarity un....until...UNTIL-!
-GASP-
A prick on his side promptly jolted Seth awake, in shock and immediate confusion as to what had happened. What was going on? Was he dreaming? UGHHHH he couldn't remember. Something important....something important...he couldn't remember! In a snap Seth grabbed hold immediately onto the object so presently at his side and and gripped it firmly. A confused fire radiated from his eyes as his gaze fluttered about for only a moment until it locked onto a source, a figure. A...girl? A young girl by the looks of things. He was at a loss for words for simply a second until he gathered himself. He'd never seen her before...even remotely. She must've either been new or not around during his earlier visits to camp. Then again, Seth barely remembered anyone from Camp Half Blood. During his visits he had always kept to himself and maybe Chiron if ever wanted company. Breathing heavily, Seth maintained his grip on the stick as he rapidly sprang up in a blink from his hammock onto his feet, his free hand resting ever so readily on his xiphos. He knew that he could have possibly been overreacting, especially against a child but he took no caution when if came to the unknown.
He attempted to calm himself, leveling his breathing so as to comfort his heart. He didn't want to scare the girl, and he most certainly didn't want to harm her....unless she gave him reason to. He let go of the stick, glaring at it as he slightly brushed it away. With an eyebrow cocked and his head tilted, Seth would know who she was and why she was out in the forest so late...so that was what he asked. "Who are you and what are you doing out in the forest so late?"

With a little tact and some welcoming gesture, Seth was close enough to pet the cat enough for him to feel the softness of its fur. It was certainly softer than he would have thought with the eye test. His surprise didn't last long before Cassie swooped up her pet into her arms. He stood up from his crouching position and rubbed of any dirt that he had felt off of his hands . Seth shrugged. "Ah right, King... Insinuates a male of course. Should've guessed from the beginning. Any who...I suppose I could consider myself lucky?" His face contorted ever so slightly at the thought. Lucky was definitely one strange way of putting it. "I didn't get to talk with my father too often. Usually he'd leave communication through other means...like the Erinyes, furies. How did you find out that you were a demigod?"

Seth had to consider himself luck to some degree to have even met Hades. From what he had gathered, most children of the gods never got around to ever knowing their divine parents/ The gods were always too busy to deal with the mortals, detached by their "duties". Oh gods, what an excuse that was. How often would Zeus go around and sleep around again? How often did his duties come first? Or even Poseidon, Ares, and the rest of them. His father, Hades, fathered demigod children yes, but his duties and responsibilities always came first. It was an aspect of his godly parentage that Seth had inherited, and felt very proud of. Why were the other gods so condescending to Hades? Like they took their responsibilities seriously...? His thoughts, he realized, were entering a very dangerous territory, so he perished them. "Godly parents...most of the time they're not very active in our lives huh? I was a special case I think. Like I said, you're mom...was sweet. If I ever see her again I'll ask about you." With that he could spot a feline approaching the duo with a little hop to its step. The cat, by the looks of things, was quite dirty. He had wondered where it had gone? By the dirt and mess this cat seemed to be pretty wild and free.
"Yours, I'm assuming?" With a smile, he reached down gently, slowly, being cautious of the cat's feelings. He didn't was to appear imposing, animals had instincts of wariness to strangers and Seth wanted to be sure not to frighten it. "He or she?" He asked as he proceeded to pet the cat's fur with care.

It was a good thing that Cassie didn't seem to mind asking any further about the Dryad's comments. With a sigh he scurried away, faster than he'd done when the Dryas shooed him from the flowers and headed back into the unknown. He'd probably get the layout of the camp down soon enough. Vague memories of his youth did help him out though, and he remembered. Funny enough, he'd also remembered that campers weren't allowed to sit at tables designated for other campers. Unless that rule had changed, this meant that Cassie was a lot bolder than he had thought. "Thank you for the stick up. I think I'll remember for next time that there are nymphs around camp. Anyways..." The sun was beginning to set and the golden hue of sundown was beginning to diminish into more a gentle blueish silver and then a darker blue, and eventually within the hour it would probably settle into night.
"...anyways." He exhaled and double checked to know that Cassie had followed. His legs had moved so quickly on his own he forgot to make sure if he left her behind. "Like I was saying before all of that, I'm sorry about your mom. I don't know if you've ever met her? But, she's nice. She was always nice to me." He smiled.

Seth nodded here and there as Cassie listed off the many "to-do's" on camp grounds. The usual spots that he could have guessed were easy to assume. The area was an obvious locale that he would probably visit frequently. Honing his skills and staying in shape were top priorities for him. He could never know when he's summoned for a task by his father again, so he would always have to be at the ready, at least psychically speaking. The beach sounded nice. Seth, to be truthful, wasn't exactly the biggest lover of the beach, namely because of the water. He wasn't exactly fond of it for some reason. Maybe it was because his domain came from the earth, and the fires beneath, rather than the oceans above. However, Seth could certainly see redeeming features in a beach that could make a trip worthwhile. He was actually quite fond of the sands, the other part of the beach experience which didn't involve water. He would rather enjoy the view than take a dip into the salty sea.
It sounded as though Cassie was namely listing off the basics of what to do at camp, but Seth's curiosity wasn't tempered by her answers. He wanted to know what SHE liked to do. He made a mental sigh and casually waved off his intentions for the meanwhile. "Depends on what I'm interested huh?" He stared up into the sky as he continued to walk slowly, carefully avoiding to outpace Cassie....he had the tendency of speed walking at times. "You know...for someone like me... with what I've been through...I don't really know what I want." The words slipped out a little too easily and Seth mentally cursed at letting his guard down. His past, was not something that he brought up in conversation frequently, his feelings, even more so. "I'm sorry," he laughed nervously, "that sounded a bit emo. Forget about that." He shuffled his feet slightly as he avoided eye contact with Cassie. It was something that he did far too often. He'd distance himself from people, and eventually, the person would slowly lose interest and fade out.
They'd reached far enough away from the mess hall by now to only notice the hall in the far background. Seth couldn't really tell where he had wandered off to, the conversation must've really left him unfocused. He could notice some flowers nearby, and wondered if he had wandered into a garden of sorts. The area was definitely well kept, but free, from the boundaries of man-made stones. It got Seth thinking about Cassie's mother. His father, was a hard worker, and he'd always respected him. But, seeing Persephone in the Underworld...that had always made him uncomfortable. "Look...about your mom. I'm really sorr-"
SNAP
The noise caught Seth's attention in a hurry, and he swung his head quickly towards the direction of the noise. From the shadow of a nearby tree emerged a youthfu figure, female by the looks of it, maybe about the same age as Seth and Cassie? The figure spoke out. "Hey now! Careful with those! They're mine!" The figure scurried over and shooed Seth away, momentarily leaving him surprised.
"Who are you?" he asked. There was no immediate reply. The girl had done a one over on the flowers and seemingly did nothing but observe them. After she had felt satisfied by the status of the flora. She nodded, and rubbed off her hands. Upon closer inspection, Seth could see a greenish hue tinted in the skin of the girl. "You're a Dryad, and wood nymph." The comment came across at face value with no inquiry behind it.
"Uh...duh. Thank you Captain Obvious!" The Dryad humphed at Seth's notions.
"Sorry, it's just been a while since I've seen one-"
"Hmmmm it's okay. You reek of death, I wouldn't really put it behind you to recognize a Dryad seeing as how you seem to be from the Underworld. I'm sure this lovely child of Persephone would never make the mistake." The Dryad winked, leaving Seth bewildered.
How did she know that? Did he really smell that badly? Also, he wanted to keep his being in the Underworld a secret, now it was just out in the open. Great. He glanced nervously at Cassie. "Yep, sure, she definitely wouldn't. Let's go."

The walk was definitely a weird one. The closer and closer the son of Hades got to his cabin, the more he wondered why he was going in the first place. He had been avoiding the place, this was for sure, and he never felt compelled to visit the building, even under strict circumstances. So why now? Seth was certainly in a pensive mood if his thoughts were wandering on simple things such as this. Then again, he was walking, like a dead zombie, grudgingly without the a sign of consciousness towards the cabin. Did he even need a concrete reason to go? Surely, this was his instincts guiding him, taking him "home" to where he should have been all along. Maybe, instead of avoiding the issue, and the light that the camp most likely provided, Seth should instead begin to re-integrate himself into the normal circulation of healthy social activity. If he was even able to...
He might as well have been a zombie after all with the way he was lugging himself. His body was crying from the aches of training. His stomach was rumbling from the absence of food. Why did he always do this? The bags under his eyes suddenly felt like sandbags, consciously weighing him down. Note to self...take it easy every now and then. The idea sounded nice in thought, but did Seth even know how to lighten up anymore? When he had learned who his father was, and when he had become a demigod, his entire life had spun and flipped upside down. He barely spent his time at camp before he was whisked away to to Hades' grunt work. He had hoped that his time serving his father would foster a stronger familiar relationship, but in truth, he knew that his dad was far too busy to ever try. Yet, Seth was just happy to be of service. He had always respected his father, even if he couldn't get the time of day from Hades. He always understood that being the Lord of the Underworld was no easy job. Hell, Seth himself almost succumbed to the stresses of...well...hell himself. He could only imagine the strain and toll it took from his father. Nevertheless, it was a durable youth....one that was truthfully lonely on many occasions. Seth may have portrayed himself as doom and gloom, but honestly, once the ball would get rolling, he could hold a conversation when he had the chance. And it so happened...the chance struck.
Seth's pensive episode was suddenly snapped by an unfamiliar voice. "You know" the voice had come from behind and with a sudden turn, he could see a male rush up to meet him. Instinctively, Seth unsheathed his xiphos but caught himself early and ended up pointing the blade more towards the ground than at the unexpected fellow. The guy had started mentioning spikes and personal storm clouds, like, really? He cocked and eyebrow as he cautiously gave the new guy a one over. "Excuse me?" The words came out inquisitively, slightly passive aggressive in undertone. "I'm sorry but was I giving off any impression of wanting to be alone?" As the words escaped his lips he realized how stupid it might have been to ask. Seth wasn't exactly the most approachable of people. "Actually...never mind. Storm clouds? What do you mean?" he asked, slowly re-sheathing his xiphos at the absence of immediate threat, and wondering how this person could help him in the "storm cloud department".
