[Archer Davidson]

Once they were both inside the restaurant, Archer put his arm around Tawny as he led her to one of his favorite tables in the back. He stuck his hand up in a wave as he smiled slightly as people greeted him. It was still weird that these people knew him but he barely knew them back. He apparently lived in New Rome at one point, but he didn't remember that at all. He only remembered his mostly-absent great aunt. But he didn't let that bother him now. He had a bet to pay off with a pretty girl.

So he pulled out a chair for her at the table and sat down across from her once she was seated. "So what kind of pizza do you usually get?" he asked her as he raised his eyebrows. "I personally like their specialty pizza, but it's your bet, your pizza."

Tawny let herself be led inside again feeling a little awkward around Archer for some reason with the way he was acting. Of course there wasn't much she could do since she had kind of let him call the shots so far but then he pulled a chair out for her and everything which made her feel even weirder cause she was definitely not used to guys doing that for her. What was he trying to pull here anyways? It wasn't like she had never sat herself down at a table after all.

Tawny narrowed her eyes at him but she did take the seat if only because there wasn't another one. Still, she continued to wonder just what he might be up to here. "Yeah, I like supreme usually. The more toppings the better if you're keeping record. I'm pretty adventurous though so if you want to try and surprise me I'll give it a shot. It's pretty hard to not like a free pizza after all."

Archer raised his eyebrows at Tawny when she glared at him. Was she really going to do this to him? Here he was trying to be all nice and gentlemen-like (at the risk of being smacked upside the head by one of his parent's friends) and all he got in return was a glare? Well she was welcome. He could get used to the glaring and he figured that he could take it now especially since she wasn't emptying out his bank account.

He sat down across from her as he glanced at the menu. She liked the supreme? He chuckled as he looked back up at her. "Well their special is known as the The Sink. I enjoy it, but if you're not feeling adventurous..." He smirked as he motioned to one of the servers. "But if you want to stick with your boring supreme pizza..."

This wasn't bad. It wasn't bad at all. She was still pumped from showing off and with the prospect of free food getting closer she was riding on cloud nine. If Archer was being a little weird that was alright, she could handle it and if this place really was as good as he was saying then all the better. It would be interesting to see what he was playing at with the gentleman routine though. Tawny wasn't used to that at all.

"Woah now hold up. Nobody said I wasn't adventurous." She said with a chuckle. The lighthearted tone was back and it was obvious that he had said the magic words by changing this into a competition. "Besides 'The Sink' sounds like something I would like anyways." She was smiling at him now and continued to do so as she relaxed back into her seat. "I'm up for it if you are. I mean it couldn't be that bad. You've had it before and you're still alive to talk about it."

Now they were talking. Archer chuckled to himself as Tawny accepted his little challenge. There was no way that he was going to let her have a boring supreme pizza when there was The Sink to devour. He smirked as he shook his head. "You also got to remember that I'm a guy and we seem to have like bottomless pits for stomachs and we like to take stupid risks." He raised an eyebrow at her before he added, "And I'm going to warn you that it has everything on it. And I mean everything. That's why it's called The Sink. Hopefully you can handle it."

But their server came and they got their orders in and after they left, Archer leaned back in his chair slightly as he put both of his hands behind his head. "So are you ready to see what you're getting yourself into? It's a lot of pizza you're about to devour."

“Hey now I may not look like much but I’m full of surprises.” Tawny said with a chuckle. She knew how it looked. She was lean and lanky and looked like she barely weighed 100 pounds sopping wet. It was unsurprising he didn’t think she could handle it but all that riding around town tended to work up a girl’s appetite and she was not here to mess around whatever Archer might think. “Or maybe you’ve already forgotten that there is more to me than meets the eyes? You’re getting in a habit of underestimating me Archer.”

She would just have to show Archer that she could take anything he could throw at her. If seeing was believing then he better be prepared to have his eyes opened. “Oh I’m ready. I’ve never met a pizza I couldn’t conquer. You just make sure that bottomless pit of yours can keep up with me. I don’t want to be the one rolling you out of here when you reach your limit.”

Archer smirked to himself when Tawny said she was full of surprises. "I bet you are," he said as he leaned back in his chair slightly. This was going to be a fun outing. He didn't dare try to label it as a date especially since he had to lose at something to get here. But he honestly didn't mind losing. He was getting pizza and hanging out with Tawny. It was a complete win in his book. Plus, she was funny. He laughed as he rolled his eyes. Underestimated her. Yeah right. But he could smell the pizza as it was arriving at their table and he couldn't help but smirk.

"But I won't mind rolling you out if you reach yours," he chuckled as the pizza arrived and was placed on their table. It was monstrous with every topping imaginable. He looked at Tawny as he cocked an eyebrow at her as he said, "Are you sure you don't want to go back to your safe supreme pizza?"

As the pizza came out Tawny's eyes got as wide as saucers. Archer had said the pizza was big but this...well this was a lot of pizza. It was huge and Tawny could swear she saw every topping that had ever been imagined on a pizza. This was certainly a pizza worthy of its name and as it was put down in front of them on the table Archer must have caught a glimpse of her gawking because he commented on it almost instantly. Well she had asked for a challenge hadn't she? There was certainly no turning back now.

His words served to bring Tawny back to the here and now. She glanced back at Archer the silent 'o' of surprise that her mouth had been set in changing back to a grin and reached for the biggest slice she could find. "Does this answer your question?" She asked and then bit down into some of the best pizza she had in her life. That was one thing she could say about the Romans, the food was definitely awesome. "mmm...That's delicious. You weren't kidding huh?" She said as she swallowed her first bite. Then before digging in she added with a wink. "Good to see you're a better judge of pizza than you are skateboarders."

Archer chuckled to himself as he watched Tawny's reaction go from a look of surprise to one of determination. He raised his eyebrows at her as she grabbed one of the larger slices of pizza. He smirked to himself. He knew a challenge when he saw one and he wasn't going to lose again to Tawny. So he grabbed a pretty large slice of pizza while she was taking a bite of hers. He chuckled again as she declared the pizza delicious.

"I don't kid when it comes to food," he said with a smirk as he took a bit of his own slice. It was good. It always was, but it was nice to know it also had Tawny's seal of approval. "Nah,' he said as he shook his head. "Only the skateboarders that seem to injure their knees."

"Point taken. I’ll keep that in mind the next time I win a bet and have to force you to pay." Tawny said as she went back for a second piece. As a natural competitor she knew how to give credit where credit was due and as far as she was concerned Archer deserved some props. He had impressed her and that was something to be proud of as Tawny wasn't exactly easy to impress.

As far as the food was concerned she knew when she was beat. That first slice had filled her up more than she could have guessed and she was already starting to think she wouldn't be able to beat him. Between the two of them they would be able to do alright but it was a lot of food. Still, she wasn't about to admit defeat just yet. The night was still young and there was no telling how things might turn out.

"It was a one-time thing." She said between bites. "Honest, I haven't been back to the infirmary since." She knew he was teasing and she wasn't really feeling all that defensive. She felt pretty comfortable with Archer around and she was glad he could give as good as he got. "You know, I would be careful. Make me mad and you might end up getting the Sink right in the face the next time you fall asleep. I can be your worst nightmare. Literally." She grinned at him playfully for a moment but had to stop to chase down a particularly gooey strand of cheese that was about to get away from her.

Archer smirked to himself as he focused on finishing his slice of pizza and the rest of the Sink. There was an art to it that only a few people had mastered, including Archer. However, it didn't seem like that Tawny know there was one since she was making that face he had seen his friends make all to may times. He raised his eyebrows at her, seeing if she was going to admit defeat, but there seemed to be one thing that was clear. Tawny was as stubborn as her skateboard skills were good.

He finished off his first slice and went for the second. "Why would the Sink be in one of my nightmares?" he asked with a chuckle as he teased her back. "It would literally be a dream if it was in it. You'll have to do better than that if you want to be my worst nightmare. Literally."

Tawny chuckled around a mouth full of pizza. She was starting to get the idea that maybe invading Archer’s dreams wasn’t such a bad idea. Maybe not to torture him with nightmares but just to play around with him a bit. It had been a while since she had gone exploring in someone else’s dreams but she liked Archer and well, the people she liked generally took her intrusions better. He would just have to make sure that he watched himself the next time he fell asleep.

“Oh I have my ways.” She said with a knowing grin. “You just wait. One night when you least expect it I’m going to make sure you have a nightmare you’re never going to forget.” For the most part Tawny’s bark was worse than her bite when it came to dreams. She wasn’t that scary but she did like having fun and she could be pretty mischievous. Something that Archer was about to find out. Right now though there was pizza to eat and Tawny wasn’t slowing down as she took another slice. “Better pick up the pace if you’re going to beat me or are you already giving up?”

"A nightmare I'll never forget?" Archer repeated back before a slight smirk settled on his face. This all the dreams he had off and on since he left Los Angeles to come back here was nothing she could ever do to him. However, he'd let her think for now that she had some power over him. He was working on his second slice of pizza as Tawny proceeded to tease him. His smirk got a little bit bigger after he finished a bite and said, "That's some pretty strong words for a girl who looked like she was going to peter out a moment ago." He chuckled slightly before he started eating his pizza with renewed vigor. There was no way he was going to let Tawny beat him when it came to eating The Sink.

“That’s the trick Mercury boy. You’ve got to have endurance.” Tawny mumbled between bites. She already knew that this probably wasn’t a battle that she was going to win but she definitely didn’t want to throw in the towel just yet. Besides, she was having fun talking and teasing Archer and wasn’t that the entire reason she had made that bet with him in the first place because she wanted to hang out with him again?

“You know.” She said with a sudden change of tone as she ate. “We may have to make a habit of this betting thing. Maybe not so good on your wallet when I keep winning but this has been fun.” Tawny watched him over her pizza slice to try and gauge his reaction. Maybe looking for a few more opportunities to hang out with Archer wouldn’t be such a bad thing and if she could have a little fun in the meantime then why not? “If you’re up for it that is.”

"Talking like you have a game plan for this," Archer chuckled as he continued eating his pizza. Sure, endurance was key to this, but also being a teenage boy with an almost bottomless stomach. But Tawny was up to the challenge, even if Archer slightly tricked her into it... well trick was a strong word, but he challenged her into it. Besides, she was pretty cool to hang out with.

He kept eating until Tawny said something and her tone caught him completely off guard. He paused mid-bite as he raised his eyebrows at her. If he didn't know any better, he swore she was trying to make excuses to hang out with him more. He thought about it for a moment before he lowered the pizza from his lips. "It might not be good for your wallet either," he chuckled as he shook his head. "You can't win every bet, you know."
