She had to do this and she had to do this now. No other time would be better. All these thoughts were racing through her head and she had to act on them. How come she never realized this earlier? She knew that Theo was coming to meet her at her cabin, but she couldn't wait. She had to see him now and if that meant he was still in the middle of the spell, then she'll find him in the middle of a spell.
She was such in a rush to get out of the cabin that she didn't hear a knock on the door. So once she opened it up, she nearly ran into Theo. She barely stopped herself from bumping into him and the board games he brought over. Board games. Right. They were supposed to do that today. "I am so sorry," Hailey blurted out as she managed to catch herself from running into him. "Are you okay?" She looked up at Theo and blinked a couple of times before she realized that she was being kind of rude. "Do you want to come in?" she asked as she opened the door a little wider for him.

Hailey couldn't help but feel weird after leaving the Hecate cabin. It wasn't like the magic weird feeling she experienced several times, but it was a different kind of weird. She couldn't exactly put her finger on it. But whatever it was, there was a lot of thoughts in her head swirling around that she was thankful that her siblings were not home. She didn't want to their pestering while all she wanted to think. She had to face her siblings sometime, but she would deal with that when it came. So she sat down on her bed as she put her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands. Hannah was on her mind, obviously, but Theo also made a couple of appearances as well. She didn't know how long she was sitting there before it hit her. It was like lightning had hit her and she jolted out of her spot. How come it never hit her before? All these years and it was right there in front of her. And she had to tell Theo and she had to tell him now. So she was almost a whirlwind as she left her room and headed towards the door. She didn't know where she got this newfound confidence, but she needed to act on this before the spontaneity wore off. (tag: Theo Dean ) |

With the way that Theo replied, Hailey immediately wanted to clarify her statement. Yes, the whole thing with him and her twin was kind of awkward, but the whole magic thing in general she didn't feel comfortable with. She went through two major transformation spells. That was almost too much magic for a lifetime. But she decided to bite her tongue for now. Maybe with a bit of space and time, she would be able to think more clearly. And actually maybe figure out how she was going to deal with her suddenly alive twin.
But she figured that she needed to leave so maybe they both had time to comprehend everything. She looked up at him as she nodded her head a little too eagerly. "Yeah... that's okay," she said with a weak smile. "I'll probably be in my cabin if you want to stop by after... ya know... everything that you do..." She shrugged for a moment before she decided that this was her cue to leave. She got up and walked towards the door, but she stopped in the doorway as she looked back at Theo. "I'll see you later, okay?" she said before she nodded her head and walked out the door and back to her cabin with a lot of thoughts on her mind.

"Okay..." Hailey said as she pressed her lips together. She knew that this was only temporary and she still had to think of a more permanent solution to the problem presented to her. But this was good for right now and she had to keep telling herself that, but she couldn't help but think that things between her and Theo would be more than awkward from this point forward. He slept with her twin and she still liked him. She honestly couldn't blame him. It was hard to tell the difference between the two of them unless you were around the both of them constantly.
She looked up at Theo as he addressed her and she slowly nodded her head. "I hope you don't mind," she said as she licked her lips slightly. "But I might have to skip out on your magic thing... it makes me a bit... uneasy know after everything that's happened... sorry."

Food poisoning wasn't that bad, wasn't it? It wasn't like she was wishing death upon her twin, even if she thought her twin was dead in the first place. But it was only cramps and not being able to stray from the porcelain goddess for long. It wasn't the worst thing she could wish upon her and that's what she had to repeat to herself as she looked back up at Theo as she bit the corner of her lip. Was it enough? She didn't know.
"It'll be enough to put her out of commission for a day or two," Hailey said as she tried to keep her voice even. "That'll be enough to formulate a better plan... I don't know how much better it'll be... but it's a start... I guess?" She played with her hands a bit as she looked over at Theo. "I... I just don't know what to do to her besides stop her or at least slow her as much as possible."

Hailey opened her eyes again as she looked down at her hands. The last few weeks had been really messed up for her from adjusting back to human life to finding out that her supposedly dead twin wasn't really all that dead. And that really bothered her. She took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm her mind down. It was all too overwhelming and it was all too soon too. She glanced up at Theo as he started talking again and her blood ran cold. Dark magic? That was always something that was forbidden in all those fantasy books she read, but here she was. This wasn't a book. This was real life and Hailey couldn't help but gulp a bit as her mind ran through all the different possibilities.
"Maybe..." she said as her voice cracked a bit before she took a deep breath to compose herself. "Maybe give her like... I don't know... food poisoning or something? Not enough to kill her, but something that's bad enough to keep her away from the rest of the camp for a little bit?" She pressed her lips together as she glanced off to the side as she started second-guessing herself.

Put her out of commission? That’s what Hailey really wanted until she could gather enough courage and enough of a game plan to eventually confront her sister. Because whatever Hannah had up her sleeves, the entire camp was in trouble until something happened to her. So putting her out of commission seemed like the safest option. Both for her and the camp. She pressed her lips together for a moment before she looked up at Theo before a sad smile crept up onto her lips.
“And that would explain why I’m not a jackalope again,” she said in a sad attempt at humor before she shook her head. “She needs to be out of commission. I don’t know or care how, but it’s going to be the best for the camp. What she did to you is only a fraction of what she’s capable of.” She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “Knowing her, she’ll be out for blood soon.”

So... another cousin is getting married this weekend, but it should be the last of them for a while! And this weekend is going to be crazy anyway because I'll barely be there for 48 hours. So I'm not bringing my laptop, since it only adds to the hassle, so I'm probably not going to be posting starting Friday (4/1/16). I'll try to sneak on and say hi when I can, but no promises.

Hailey pressed her lips together as Theo said she didn't have to apologize, again, but Hailey really didn't know what she could do. Her sister had already done enough damage and Hailey didn't know what she could do to fix it. If it really could be fixed. Because things between her and Theo... they were super messy and she didn't know if he would make the effort to sort them out with her. Maybe her love life was just rotten and cursed...
But she was quickly pulled out of her head as he offered to use his magic on Hannah. Something to stop her or at least pull her out into the open? Hailey did want to find her, but since her twin was apparently hiding around camp... everything sounded tempting and a little too good to be true. She took a deep breath as she slowly nodded her head. "Okay... what kind of magic were you thinking about?"

What are you thinking about doing? That's when it really hit Hailey. She had every intention of finding Hannah, but what was she going to do once she found her? Despite how much Hannah was evil and terrorized the camp, there was no way that Hailey could kill her own sister, let alone harm her. She let that sink in as it felt like a weight plummeted into her stomach. "I... I..." she said as she looked away from Theo and down into her lap as she toyed with her hands a bit. "I don't know..." she said quietly.
And in that moment, all Hailey could feel in her stomach was dread and the sense of impending doom. She took a couple of deep breaths before she glanced back up at Theo. "I'm sorry for what she did to you. Just know she was never like this. I don't know why she's out to get me."

Seeing Genie's automatons seemed like a very good idea and Hailey welcomed the distraction. A little bit of normalcy after her life wasn't normal for years was a very nice change. And not worrying about her recent boy troubles? That was also very welcomed too. But maybe her getting used to her surroundings in the cabin before the rest of her cabin showed up would help as well. But she took Genie's hands up as she lifted herself off the bed. She brushed herself off a bit before she followed Genie out of the room towards hers. "I think we have a lot of catching up to do," Hailey said with a light laugh as she went to admire her sister's work.

Hailey sharply turned her head at Theo as she glared at him. Was he asking her to rethink this? Was he really that clueless what her sister had done to him and was capable of doing? If she could trick one person into thinking that it was her, there was no telling what other things she could do besides sleep with the guy she may or may not like.
"You don't understand," she said slowly as she took deep, steady breaths so she didn't barge out of the room going on a manhunt after her sister. "She's evil. The gods are scared of her. Artemis sent me back to camp just to keep an eye on her. She's... she's..." She took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. "She's evil and manipulative and I have no doubt she probably faked her death now that I think about it. I should've investigated it more." She opened her eyes and bit her lower lip as she glanced off to the side. "She's probably with the Usurpers or something trying to reek havoc on camp. She needs to be stopped and I'm the only one who can stop her."

Hannah was back. Oh gods Hannah was back... That was the only thing that made sense despite how much Hailey didn't want it to be real. She was back from the dead. More tears streaked down her face as she looked at Theo. He probably didn't believe her. Who else would make up an evil twin who's back from the dead. But she felt her heart race as her chest tightened up. At this rate, she didn't know if her own legs would be able to support her. She managed to stumble over to a bed before she sat down and put her head between her knees. She took deep breaths to calm herself down from the impending anxiety attack.
But Hannah was back. And she slept with Theo under false pretenses. Hailey should've felt betrayed over what Theo did, but that's not what she felt. Once her anxiety calmed down, she felt anger. She a rage inside of her. She wanted to find Hannah and put her back into the ground where she belonged.
Hailey finally lifted her head up after a couple of moments as she looked sternly at Theo. "I don't know," she replied back calmly, almost too eerily. "But I need to find her and I need to deal with her. She's not going to terrorize the camp again. She did that once before, but she's not going to do it again."

Outside of her dead twin, Hailey was still quite uncertain about her cabin being her family. It probably didn't help that she stayed in the Hermes cabin for years before she was finally claimed and she only stayed in this cabin a few years before she joined the Hunt. But it was nice to know that Genie had her back along with, hopefully, the rest of their cabin.
However, Hailey was quickly pulled out of her thoughts at the mention of automatons. "You built automatons?" she asked as she perked up a bit. "And you only mention them now?" She smiled a bit as she nodded her head towards the door. "Can we go see them then?"

Hannah was alive. That was the only way that Hailey could explain everything that was going on right at that moment. Hannah was alive and she was out to get her vengeance. Hailey knew that Hannah was upset when she was joined the Hunters originally, but was she that upset to take it out on everyone she knew? If they hadn't seen the twins together before, it was hard to spot the differences between the two. The one little trap that got Theo.
She chewed on her bottom lip as tears welled up in her eyes as she looked down at the floor at all the scattered game pieces. She pushed a Candyland token with her foot before she looked up at Theo as he spoke. As far as she could tell, he wasn't taking the news all that well and seemed to be in denial. Hailey shook her head and closed her eyes as a single tear streaked down her face.
"It wasn't me," she said as her voice cracked a bit. She cleared her throat as she looked up at Theo. "It wasn't me... you have to believe me. Because Hannah..." She pressed her lips together as she glanced off to the side. "Hannah's... diabolical. She's evil. And she would've used you if she knew about... us." She looked back over at him as the tears streaked down her face more. "I am so sorry," she whispered.
