[Daven Davis]

"I don't think it's completely your fault," Daven said with a bit of a shrug. "I haven't seen much of her either. I think she's out frolicking in the the woods or something with all the animals. I just know I haven't seen her in the cabin lately and I'm... I'm there a lot." She didn't want to admit to Jay that she rarely left her cabin and this was one of the rare few times she did. She felt like she needed to get her life back together somehow and maybe making a new friend was going to help. Maybe.

"But enough about me," she said as she looked over at Jay with a bit of a smirk as she decided to tease him just a little bit. "What about you? Would you fall under your definition of 'sweet' or do you just like talking to 'sweet' people?"

He wondered if it was not entirely his fault about them not meeting if Mel hadn't even really been in the cabin. To be fair he hadn't made much of an effort to try and see her even when he had the times. "Hm okay, well anyway it doesn't matter. I got a lot of training in at least." Jay replied with a small shrug and a grin.

Jay looked down at her lips for a second as he noticed a smirk forming there, it looked like she was easing up a little bit and the conversation was getting a bit nicer. "Hm...I'd say I'm pretty sweet when I want to be. My main feature is I make people laugh." Jay mused with a grin, sticking his tongue out at her playfully in reply to her teasing.

"Training is always good," Daven said with a shrug. But she also knew that training couldn't prepare you for everything. In her opinion, Cody had good training, but that didn't stop the Kraken from eating him. That didn't stop a lot of things from happening, honestly. But Daven was going into the deep, dark thoughts of her head and she couldn't have that at all, especially since Jay seemed to be clueless about that aspect of her life. She shook her head as she cleared those thoughts as she looked over at him.

And he seemed to take to her teasing quite well. She laughed to herself as she shook her head in amusement. "You make people laugh?" she asked as she looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "So do you want to be a comedian or something one day?"

Jay watched her life and wondered why she was laughing, maybe she was enjoying the conversation? Or maybe she was teasing him a bit more than previously. "Well you just laughed, so you answered your own question." Jay replied back to her with a small laugh, he didn't care if she was laughing at her own thoughts but Jay had a way of turning things around to the way that he wanted in conversations. The word 'charm' sprung to mind. But really, it was the opposite of charm. Then he let out a small laugh at her comment about him becoming a comedian. He didn't have a clue on what he wanted to be when he was older. Alive was a good plan. He already practically was a class clown so that's the same. "Nope, I have no idea. As long as I'm alive I think that'd be a good start." He teased back to her, his lips still int the shape of a grin.

"Or maybe you're just a funny-looking guy," Daven said with a bit of a smirk as she made a subtle jab at him. There were no malice in her words at all. She just wanted to have a little bit of fun with this apparently funny guy. Gods knew she needed so much more laughter in her life than what she had currently. Maybe Jay would be that guy for the job. Time would only tell, honestly.

"Being alive is a very good start," she said as she nodded her head in agreement as she looked out towards the ocean. However, she snuck a glance at him out of the corner of her eye before she said, "Besides, the only dead jokes that are slightly funny are dead baby jokes. And those are just so horrible to a point that they're funny."

Jay let out a small laugh when she suggested the idea of him being 'funny looking'. Hell to the no. Jay was a good looking asian kid. It was his gestures that made him funny, accompanied by the words he spoke. "Dang, you got me there. What was it that gave it away?" Jay replied back, going along with her teasing. So far he liked Daven, she was nice to talk to and he could already tell that she was good to joke around with, especially since she just initiated a joke towards him.

Yes, being alive was a very good place to start. He wasn't particularly wanting to be wandering around the Underworld or something like that. Then his eyebrows rose up his forehead when she talked about the dead baby jokes. Woah. This sweet girl had suddenly turned a bit brutal. Not that Jay could talk, he'd said some pretty brutal jokes before. "First of all, totally was not expecting that from you. Secondly, behave otherwise Chiron will kick your ass with his horse ass." Jay replied back, still smirking from down on the grass with his hands behind his head.

Daven shrugged a bit as her smirk grew a little bit wider. "I think it's the hair. I think that's completely a dead giveaway." She chuckled again as she shook her head. She really liked talking with Jay. Gods knew that it was a lot better than talking with most of her siblings.

"Chiron will kick my ass?" Daven said as she snorted a bit and rolled her eyes. "Gods know that I just need to tip over his wheelchair and he'll be helpless for about a week or so... unless someone takes pity on him and I doubt it would be Mr. D. But I think I would be able to kick his horse ass faster than he could kick my ass." And, to be honest, it sounded like a good time kicking Chiron's ass, especially with all he made her do in the name of her mental health. Like cleaning out the attic would help her mental health one bit.

Jay laughed again as she went on to explain her reasoning as to why he looked funny. He quite liked his hair if he was honest. It wasn't exactly too long but it wasn't too short to make him bald either, so what was wrong with it? "Oh really? See I would say the same to you about your hair but your hair's quite nice. Brings out your eyes." He replied back to her with a small shrug, there was no denying that he found her good looking. Jay would never deny finding someone attractive, it wasn't something to be ashamed of. Of course he was still smirking to himself as he paid her the compliment but that was no big deal.

This girl was getting funnier by the second, kicking Chiron out of his wheelchair would be funny as Tartarus...Not literally though. "I feel like Chiron falling out of his wheelchair would look the same as a tortoise being stuck on its shell. You'd do that to poor old Chiron?" Jay teased back to her, pretending to sympathise for Chiron.

Daven was really waiting for Jay to exchange jabs with her about their appearances that were supposedly funny-looking. However, she didn't expect a compliment to come out of his mouth instead. Her face heated up as she tore her eyes away from him and looked off to the side. A compliment about her hair? And her eyes? Daven hadn't received any sort of compliment in a while and this was all too foreign for her. She reached out to smooth down her hair before she looked over back at him and gave him a sheepish smile. "Thanks," she muttered.

But she was more than happy to take her mind off of his compliment than her revenge against Chiron. "It seems pretty fair compared to what he's done to me and the other campers." She looked back over at Jay as she cocked an eyebrow at him. "Has he ever made you clean out the attic? I swear I was coughing up dust for weeks after I did."

His eyes examined Daven as she began to process his compliment, it was a playful compliment however he could still notice the blushing that was going on around her cheeks. How cute. "My pleasure." He replied back to her, giving her a nod along with his words. The fact that she had looked away from him meant that the compliment had at least some impact onto her.

Chiron hadn't really ever done anything terribly bad to Jay during his time at the Camp, sure he had been told to clean up plenty of times but there wasn't anything drastically bad that'd make him hate him. "Hm..Well maybe you should just form a better resistance to dust. Then it would have been easier." Jay teased to her, smirking quite badly up at Daven. "And it would allow you to be able to do it again."

"A dust resistance?" Daven said with a laugh as she rolled her eyes and shook her head. "You're funnier than I thought. It might be good to build up a resistance... if I saw myself cleaning the attic again." She shrugged her shoulders a bit. "Which I don't. I usually keep my nose clean for the most part. And honestly, I didn't really deserve that time in the attic at all." She chuckled a bit as she looked over at Jay with raised eyebrows.

"But you should build up that dust resistance. Chiron apparently likes to go after the innocent ones. It won't be long until it's your time. Just know that I won't be coming to bail you out." She smirked a bit as she looked at him.

Yes. He definitely was funnier than she thought originally and he was entirely proud of his humour and himself for proving it to her. "Told you." He stated back to her like it was no big shock, because it wasn't. He knew full well that he said a load of stupid stuff at times but if it lead to people ending up laughing at those comments then he didn't overly care. "Somehow I don't believe that you keep your nose clean...Sorry Love." Jay said through a laugh. The 'Love' was not actually meant to imply anything, he was simply just teasing her.

"I'm innocent and Chiron loves me. I don't plan to turn him into a tortoise unlike you." Even if it was incredibly funny to think about. Jay brought the top half of his body back up from the grass and took a glance around. "Come on, let's go for a lil walk." Jay said with a grin, standing up off the grass and brushing off his jeans as he did so.

"I at least keep it much cleaner than yours, sorry love," Daven said with a smirk as she teased him again. She shook her head as she reached up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear before looking at Jay again. "So you and Chiron are a couple?" she teased again. "That would explain a lot. But he deserves to be turned into an upside turtle. And I'll turn into one too if you don't watch yourself."

And Daven was completely caught off guard when Jay suggested that they go for a walk. It was ironic in a way, since a walk led her straight to him. But a little walking didn't kill anybody. She nodded her head as she got up onto her feet and brushed off her pants as she looked over at Jay with a bit of a smile. "Lead the way," she said as she moved to cross her arms over her chest.

Oh so now she was calling him 'love'? Love that was totally his thing. Don't steal his thing. It won't end well. "How would you know how clean my nose is, love? Why you looking up my nose for? Weirdo." Jay replied back to her, his smirk more visible now as he was beginning to enjoy the teasing. Teasing people was one of his favourite things to do, it was never a harsh teasing. More of a flirtatious tease or a playful one. "You sound a bit jealous there. But no, Chiron and I are not a couple." He replied to her, rolling his eyes slightly but laughing at the end. That also sounded like fighting talk from Daven at the end there too, how cute.

He watched as she stood up, taking his chance to take a quick glance up and down of her. Yeah, she was definitely cute. When she was ready, Jay began making his way along, walking down to the edge of the water so that he could feel the breeze from it but not get wet. "So Daven, would you rather have crab hands...or the head of a fish. Both are pretty bad." Jay questioned with a smirk, looking over at her. He knew this wasn't relevant to anything, he just liked to ask stupid questions to get a conversation going.

"Not really my choice," Daven said with a bit of a smirk. "I can't help it that you're taller than me, so I have no choice but to look up your nose." She chuckled to herself as she shook her head. "And I can definitely tell you that you're not keeping it clean at all. It's only a matter of time before you get attic duty." But then Jay said that Chiron and him were not a couple and she laughed. "So are you scorned lovers then? I am so jealous, love. I didn't peg you for one that was interested in bestiality."

But she followed Jay around the edge of the lake as they walked together before he hit her with a question that was out of the blue. She looked over at him and raised her eyebrows as she thought for a minute. "Probably crab hands," she said as she nodded her head before another smirk crept onto her face. "You probably should do a fish head. It'd improve what you have so far," she said with another jab.
