[Jay Sun Keon]

Jay hadn't been out for a walk in a really long time, he'd spent most of his days getting in extra training sessions or just hanging out back at the Apollo cabin. He'd felt as if his skills were slacking recently so he was aiming to improve them as much as he could, you could never be sure as to when you would need it. Jay hadn't kept in contact with the people he considered closest either recently, maybe he would find a new friend around camp? After all they were all in the same type of situation. Some of the camp were dicks though, he'd avoid those. The lake usually didn't attract those types of people though, in his experience it was just the people who wanted a a place to escape to, the chiller people hanging there.

He made it down to the lake, looking across at the large space that had been covered by the water which was currently reflecting the sun's gaze. No one was in close proximity to him and the lake was quite empty. No one was in the water, no one by the trees surrounding the lake. With a small sigh, Jay scratched the back of his head and then sat down half way up a slope just before the water. Jay usually chose spots where he could watch the lake in peace so this hill spot seemed to be adequate. He remembered sitting in this spot once with a couple of his friends around camp, maybe it'd be a place to make a new friend...or enemy?

Chiron would be so proud of her. Daven wasn't moping around her cabin all depressed, which was kind of ironic considering her cabin was bright and happy and full of flowers. Hades, some of her siblings were bright and happy and Daven used to be at one point. Keyword: used to be. A lot of things changed in the past few years and even the past few weeks. For once, her life seemed a little brighter now compared to the usual dark, dim, gray she saw. So she was out and about. She really had no reason to be out, but she was enjoying the sunshine for once.

So she wandered the camp for a little bit with her arms across her chest. She was feeling better, but at the same time, she felt guilty for feeling better. Her brother was back, which was the source of her depression. She should've been okay, but at the same time, she felt like she wasn't allowed to be okay. So she kept walking and her feet eventually led her to the lake. There was nothing special about it, except for the fact that there was a boy there. Wasn't that the boy that Mel kept talking about? Not that Daven didn't really pay attention, but sometimes she wouldn't shut up about him. So she figured it was worth a shot.

She approached the boy as she tilted her head to the side. "Are you Jay?" she asked as she got a little bit closer. "I think you know my sister, Melanie. I'm Daven."

He continued to look around the lake from his current spot, there we still like no people around and Jay was beginning to feel as if he was the only person around. That was until he saw the faint outline of a girl walking down to the lake. He wasn't familiar with her and he hadn't seen her before, he spent most of his days training now. So if she was new, there no chance that he would have ever seen her or paid attention to her. It wasn't anything personal, he just tended to not take notice of new campers now. He only stuck to what he knew.

However despite him taking no notice, Jay was pulled out of his own little world when he heard the voice of a girl speaking next to him. He looked over at her, it was the girl he saw in the distance in a minute ago. Melanie? Looks like Daven was a daughter of Persephone then. "Yeah, I'm Jay. Son of Apollo." He replied back to her with a small nod, bowing his head slightly to her. He'd been here around a year and was older now and wasn't as talkative, but he still had old characteristics that liked to make an appearance here and then. "Nice to meet you, Daven." Jay continued on, giving her a small smile. She could have sat next to him if she wanted to, he wouldn't mind a nice conversation with one of his best friend's sisters. Besides, she was cute.

A son of Apollo? She must've missed that when Melanie was rambling on about the boy. She happened to know other things about Jay, but she wasn't going to mention those now since she didn't want to look like a stalker. But the boy seemed nice enough and Daven really didn't have anywhere else to be. Maybe she could sit by him and get to know him better. Gods knew that she needed to get out and talk to more people. She practically knew half of the camp before her brother's death and now barely knew anyone outside of her cabin. But today was going to be a fresh start for her. Or at least, she hoped so.

She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before she decided to sit down next to him. Not right by him, but she made sure there was a little bit of space between them. "Apollo, huh?" she asked as she sat down and pulled her knees up to her chest. "That's kind of funny, considering, you know, our mom's the goddess of flowers. Sun. Flowers..." She shrugged a bit as she didn't know where it was going as her face heated up a bit. "They, like, go together. Kinda like my step-brother is also the son of a water god. It's just kinda funny..."

Jay watched the lake in front of him as she began to sit next to him, he really didn't mind about her coming to sit with him. After all he did come here originally to see if anyone was interested in having a conversation or whether or not he should just sit on the slope being quiet and moping around. It'd be a good time to think about everything but he had spent enough time thinking about everything, it was time to actually do something about it all...Whatever 'it all' was.

"Yep...son of Apollo." He confirmed to the girl beside him when she seemed to question it to herself. Then she began to continue on speaking, he wasn't sure what she was saying but he was pretty sure he said something similar to Mel. So naturally Jay looked at the girl, his lips curled into a smirk. "What're you trying to imply Daven?" Jay asked teasingly to the girl, he knew she wasn't intentionally flirting, he just found it funny to embarrass people. "But yeah...The gods have powers which all go together."

Daven didn't really know where we was going with that observation. And it was a stupid one to be honest. It was more like she was trying to find something to say and was just going to ramble until she found it. Jay, however, didn't take her ramblings as just ramblings. Her face heated up a bit as she glanced off to the side. "I'm not suggesting anything..." she muttered as she pressed her lips together. This whole talking to people thing was proving to be a lot harder than she remember it being.

"Sorry," she apologized as she laughed slightly. "I really don't do this talking to people thing. I mean... I talk to my siblings... or more like I talk with Mel but she does most of the talking." She shrugged a bit. "I promise I didn't used to be this horrible once upon a time..."

A small laugh escaped Jay's lips when he noticed that the girl was blushing and she denied trying anything with him, he knew full well that she wasn't but of course he decided to say it because well...he liked teasing people. "Yeah, I know. Don't worry. I'm just messing with you." He replied back to her, running a hand through his hair briefly before leaning back on his hands, looking back out at the water that was in front of them.

He felt bad when she began to apologise and shook his head to her, she was doing just fine. Besides they had only just begun talking to each other. There was the entire conversation left for it to develop or for them to potentially bond. "There's nothing to apologise for." Jay said softly to her, bringing his legs back and crossing them rather than having them spread out like they were previously. "Also you're not horrible. Don't put yourself down."

He was messing with her? Oh, he was one of those people? Why couldn't Mel mention that with all of her ramblings? No, instead Daven had to know what she thought of his hair. According to her, Jay's hair was fancy, but Daven could really care less. It's not like she needed to know that about her sister's friend, especially since he seemed so content with teasing her. Then again, she probably did bring it on herself with her own ramblings.

And her ramblings of an apology wasn't helping either, since Jay almost dismissed it. She smiled at him slightly before she stared out on the lake. "I think my brother would have to disagree with you," she chuckled as she shook her head. "He would call me horrible because I used to date guys he didn't like just to spite him. Then again, that's an over-protective brother for you." She shrugged her shoulders. She didn't know if Cody would do that now since he came back, but Daven really never had the desire to date anyone since that accident.

He shrugged at the daughter of Persephone's response about her brother disagreeing, because really he didn't care. His opinions were not formed by other people's opinions, if you show no signs of being horrible to Jay whenever he is near you, then the chances are he probably won't mind you. Unless you've actually done something like murder someone, then it's a different story. "I'm not your brother...But guys don't like other guys who try to hit on their sister. I get that. Being spiteful probably made it worse." Jay said back to her, watching her facial expressions as she began to chuckle. She seemed like a brother's worst nightmare if she'd go as far as dating someone her brother hated.

"So Daven, you anything like Mel? Like terrible puns? Are you sweet? You seem like you are...Ignoring the spiteful boyfriend datings." Jay asked her curiously with a grin, raising an eyebrow as he waited for an answer to his questions.

Daven shrugged off Jay's assessment of her brother. He didn't know Cody like she did and it was always something they did. She'd annoy him with her boyfriend and he'd annoy her with his hobbies. However, she never really liked that Harper girl he dated for a little bit.

But was she anything like Mel? Once upon a time, maybe. Then again, back then, she was completely naive to how the world worked. She shrugged her shoulders. "It really depends on what your definition of 'sweet' is," she said as she wrapped her arms around her legs. "I mean, I get along with her if that's what you're asking. But I don't think we're that similar. That would get boring."

Jay grinned at her response to his questions, he wasn't sure why he was asking things like that but he was just seeing how much she was like Mel. Maybe being sweet was a trending Persephone trait? Probably not but still. "Well you seem to fit my definition so far." Jay replied to her, glancing her up and down before looking back out to the water. "Yeah, having two very similar personalities together often tends to get dry. It's all good for like a week or so but then there's nothing different about each other." Luckily Jay hadn't experienced anything like that with anyone he has had the privilege to become friends with but he did know that it was a common occurrence. Being so similar to each other is all fun and games until there's nothing new about each other, no random plans, no different jokes, you're too similar and it gets dry.

For some reason, Jay was comparing her to Mel, but she didn't understand why. Was he more involved with her than she originally thought? Was talking to him going to be a big mistake? She liked Mel and didn't want to hurt her. But this seemed innocent, for now. Maybe she'd call him out if it became anything but innocent. Maybe. If she had the lady balls for it.

But she wondered what Jay's definition of “sweet” was when she would consider her and Mel almost polar opposites. Maybe it was just a broad definition. She shrugged her shoulders. “I've heard that similar personalities fight a lot too,” Daven said as she glanced over at Jay. “and I wouldn't want to fight with Mel. She'd probably cry and I'd feel horrible. She'd probably win every argument because of it.”

"Yeah that's true, similar personalities will end up fighting because they clash." Jay replied to her with a nod, he wasn't exactly one to fight. He'd normally walk off before anything else came from it. "So you'd end up feeling bad and retract something you're standing up for?" Jay questioned as he leant back, turning on his side so that he was facing Daven. His hands tugged at the grass under them, occasionally twirling round strands in his fingers. "I tend to just not have arguments or fights. They're not exactly fun so I avoid them whenever I can." The son of Apollo continued on, looking up from the grass to her face.

“It would have to depend on what the argument was about,” Daven said as she shrugged again as she looked over at Jay. “If it was a silly disagreement, then, yah, I'll back down and apologize for hurting her feelings or making her cry or whatever. I'm not a horrible person, despite what my brother says.” But she paused for a moment as she pressed her lips together. “But if it was something serious, something I'm passionate about, I'd probably not retract anything I said. I'd probably drop the subject now, but taking it all back would be kinda like lying, ya know?”

Daven shrugged her shoulders again as she said, “Then again, I don't really get into arguments with anyone really besides my brother. Apparently, I have one of those agreeable personalities.”

Jay grinned a little when Daven spoke about making Mel cry and ultimately backing down after the disagreement, that was sweet. In a weird way of course but it was still sweet. "That's understandable, everyone has something where they'd always argue about. Somethings you just have to stick up for, whether it's someone else or if it's one of your personal beliefs." Jay nodded after he spoke, he would argue for any of his friends if it came down to it and he most likely wouldn't back down until he was forced to back down. He would most likely only listen to Chiron or one of his friends telling him to back down, otherwise he probably wouldn't.

"I don't really talk to people anymore to have arguments if I'm honest...I spend most my days training now, I haven't seen Mel in a while either. I guess that's my fault though." Which was true, he figured that training would have been the best way for him to develop his abilities and learn how to control his powers. At least now he knew how to control light to a decent standard and could use his spear even better. "But yeah, I agree with you having an agreeable personality." Jay replied to her with a grin, rotating his body to lay his top half down on the slope, back against the grass. He could still look at her pretty easily because of the slope and he kept his knee up, with his other leg spread out in front of him.
