So This Is Goodbye (Jay)

“I've never heard of quests coming back sooner,” Daven said as she pressed her lips together and shrugged. “They've always gone above the time frame… I have no doubt mine would I've of them.” And that was one of her biggest concerns, especially since Jay just became her boyfriend. She noticed his hands slipped underneath her skirt and she paid no attention to it at the moment. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to take in his scent when he made a comment. Nice underwear? Daven's eyes widened as she reached down with one hand to push her skirt down. Why did she decide to pick today as the day to wear her boy shorts with the kittens and flowers? Her face heated up as she muttered a thanks before burying her head into his shoulder. She might as well have died of embarrassment before the quest killed her.

"You'll get it done either way, don't worry about it. I'll still be here either way." He replied back to her, despite in the back of his mind he was debating whether or not to put himself forward for the quest as well. He'd be able to look after her then, whether or not he'd get accepted he didn't know. But he still had to decide if he wanted to put himself forward for it, now he had something to actually put himself forward for. Jay couldn't help but let out a little laugh at the 'underwear' Daven had decided to go with for today's attire. In all honesty he didn't care what she wore, he still thought she was cute. He was laughing more at her reaction. He looked over at her when she buried her face into his shoulder, placing his hand on the back of her head and kissing the top of her head. "You're still hot, don't worry." Jay said to her, still laughing a little.

Daven was still completely embarrassed that Jay saw her underwear. If she knew that was possibly happening today, she would've chosen something a little less childish. Not a thong, but definitely not something with kittens and flowers. If he wanted to embarrass her more, then he more than succeeded. She buried her face into his shoulder more as she groaned a bit. He probably had more mature undies than she did and the fact that she was thinking about his underwear? She felt his hand on top of her head as he kissed the top of her head. “Thanks,” she muttered as she put her skirt down with a final tug. “But that doesn't help matters.”

He let out a small laugh when he heard her groaning into his neck. "Don't worry about it, honestly. You could be wearing granny pants and I wouldn't care." Jay replied back softly to her, wrapping his arms round her waist before bringing his hand back up to the back of her head. His fingers twirled their selves around in her hair at the back of her head and he stayed watching her as much as he could from the angle. She was still beautiful. "You don't need to get embarrassed with me." Jay then continued on, leaning closer to her head and kissing it once again, wrapping his arm a bit tighter round her.

She didn't need to be worry about it or be embarrassed around him? She groaned at that thought. Even though she shouldn't worry or be embarrassed, Jay was still probably going to tease her about it or attempt to make her embarrassed. So that meant she probably would stop wearing dresses and skirts around him so she would have no more underwear mishaps. Or, at least, make sure she hid her embarrassing pairs for a day she wouldn't be kissing and cuddling Jay. After a moment or two, she picked her head up as she looked at him with a bit of a frown. "It would probably help if you didn't tease so much," she said before she stuck her tongue out at him.

When she lifted her head to look at him, Jay returned her gaze but not the frown. "I don't tease that much." Jay replied back softly to her, rolling his eyes playfully at the fact she stuck her tongue out at him. He didn't tease her that much, whenever he did it was playful. His hand came up from her hip and brushed some of her hair out of her face so that he could look at her clearer, letting his hand linger on her cheek gently for a couple seconds before placing it back down on her hip. "I only tease you when you deserve it." He mused with a smug grin, sticking his tongue out at her now.

He didn't tease her that much? Daven was quite doubtful and it showed on her face as she arched an eyebrow at him. Not that she minded the teasing much, but it still something that she had to deal with. But still, she could still give him a hard time about it as much as he liked to tease her. Her face heated up slightly as he reached up to push her hair out of her face as she looked at him. "When I deserve it?" she asked as she giggled slightly. "I guess I deserve it a lot then, huh? So I don't think that's the case at all."

He gave her a nod to confirm that he really did only tease her when she deserved it. He wasn't a mean guy, what she got in teasing was because she deserved it for sure. Keeping Jay company was a good enough reason for him to be able to tease you. "Mhm. You deserve it all the time." Jay replied to her, a smug smirk forming on his lips. If he wasn't trying to be slightly serious right now then he would have definitely gave her a quick kiss but he alas, he was. "You can't be this good looking and not expect to get teased. Doesn't work like that." Jay continued on with a shrug, shifting on the bed so that he could look at her a bit easier.

That confirmed Daven's suspicions that he teased her a lot. But she might as well try to soak in his teasing as much as possible because she didn't know how long she'd go without it once she went on the quest in less than twenty-four hours. But at the same time, it was Jay. She rolled her eyes as she snorted a bit. "You deserve it more," she said with a chuckle as she looked down at him. They were so close, close enough to kiss, but it looked like Jay was trying to be a little bit serious. It was a shame really. But it was a good thing that she could tease him back. "Then that logic should apply to you too," she said with a bit of a wink.

"I don't deserve it at all, I should never. be. teased." Jay replied back to her with a smirk, pecking her lips gently after each one of the final 3 words that he spoke. He was going to try not to kiss her for a little while, but it got his point across more and besides, he wanted to kiss her. A hand strayed up from her hip up to her shoulder, tracing circles lightly. "I'm not attractive, don't be silly." Jay said up to her, raising an eyebrow at her playfully before shooting her a wink as well. He didn't think he was ugly but he also didn't think he was the best looking person in the world. He was somewhere in between in his eyes.

Daven rolled her eyes as she giggled as Jay stood his ground that he would never be teased. She couldn't argue with that logic much, especially since she got kisses out of it. She wanted more from him, but she would play along with his serious act, for now. Never mind that she was going on this quest and would most likely be deprived of his kisses, but she could live with it. For now.

"I think you're wrong on that," Daven said with a laugh as she shook her head causing some of her hair to fall into her face. "I only date the attractive ones, so I would know." She giggled as she smirked at him. "So I might want to get used to that idea if I was you."

Now that Jay realised how much he cared for Daven, despite only just becoming boyfriend and girlfriend, he really wanted to put himself forward for the quest so that he could make sure she was safe. Besides he could be a good pillow for her since there would be a lot of sleepless nights. "I'm never wrong." Jay said to her, sticking his tongue out at her playfully.

"Oh so you're shallow?" Jay questioned teasingly, looking at her judgingly but playfully. He didn't really think she'd be shallow, he still loved her. After he replied to her he kissed her nose gently, not wanting to kiss her lips to tease her before laying his head back down on the pillow. "What time do you need to leave?"

"I still think you're quite wrong," Daven said as she rolled her eyes once again before sticking her tongue out at him in return. There was no way she was going to win this battle, at least, not tonight. But this wasn't going to be the last time he'd hear about this. "Yes, that's one way to put it. I'm very shallow when it comes to looks," she said sarcastically before he leaned up to kiss her nose. But then he had to ask it. What time she was leaving for the quest. She groaned as she buried her face back into the crook of his shoulder. "I'm supposed to be packing right now," she muttered to him. "The quest is supposed to leave at like eight in the morning."

A laugh escaped his lips and then he shrugged when she stuck her tongue out at him. To put it nicely, he didn't care if she thought he was wrong. Jay was right. End of but he'd let his girlfriend have her little moment of victory. "Whatever you say." He mused back to her, deciding not to further the 'argument' just because she was stubborn and so was he. "I'm shallow too, kind of. So it's lucky you're hot." He teased, wiggling his eyebrows at her playfully.

"If you're meant to be packing now, you're not doing a good job." Jay replied with a laugh, bringing his hand up to the back of her head and resting it there as her face buried against his neck. "That's so early." Jay said quietly to her, relaxing his arm up on her head, twirling her hair around his fingers.

Daven rolled her eyes when Jay said that he was also shallow. She figured he was to an extent. Practically everyone was, but hearing it come from her boyfriend about her being hot was especially eye roll worthy.

But there was the issue of packing which she was putting off at this point. “I'll have you know that I'm an excellent packer,” she told him as she thought about going to go do it now to prove him wrong but she was too comfortable. “I still have time to do it too.” But she cringed about the thought of pulling an all nighter to do it when she had to leave early. Quests on little sleep were probably not pleasant at all.
