So This Is Goodbye (Jay)

Jay let out a small laugh when she rolled her eyes at his comment, leaning up and kissing her cheek gently. "Don't roll your eyes at me..." He muttered quietly to her with a grin, shaking his head as if he really was unimpressed with the whole thing. When in reality, he deserved it for sure. He knew he did too but he wouldn't give her the satisfaction.

"Whatever you say." He said to her when she said she was a good packer. Jay was pretty hopeless at packing, there would always be something that he would forget. No matter how important said item was, there was always one that would be forgotten. "You'll get it done, don't worry." Jay continued on to her softly, turning his head to kiss the side of her head gently and allowing her to stay buried in him. If she was comfortable then he didn't want to be the one to ruin that.

"I will roll my eyes at you if I want to," Daven replied as she snuggled herself up into Jay. She was really quite comfortable and she would hate to think of how long she would go from getting these kinds of cuddles or seeing Jay. She didn't let herself think about it. It would only make her sad and she needed to stay focused on the quest. However, she felt like there was an impending doom looming over her if she didn't get packed with enough time to spare. And that impending doom was making her heartbeat a little faster and she felt her chest tighten a bit, but she tried to push it away.

After a while, Daven sighed as she picked her head off of Jay. "I really should get packing," she said as she started to untangle herself from his arms. "The sooner I can get it done, the less I can worry about it and the more I can worry about this quest."

At her comment about rolling her eyes, Jay decided it was needed for him to roll his own eyes. Whether she'd see it or not he did not know since she was snuggled into him pretty deep. Which was also okay, he was enjoying it. "Love you." He then muttered quietly to her, his arms tightening slightly.

He watched her as she sat up, taking a quick glance down at her lips before letting her go with his arms dropping to his side. "Packing would probably be wise." He replied to her, nodding up at her. "Trust me, you don't need to worry. You'll be safe." Little did she know, Jay would probably volunteer so that he could ensure that was the case. Even before today when he asked her to be his, he'd still make sure her safety was ensured. His life was a small price to pay for hers.
