Artemis glared at the former Hunter at her feet and glared even more at the boy who helped her become a former Hunter. She waved the girl off as she said, "It's the least I can do for my ex duty. But remember, wild deer attack once a year." Then she turned to the other goddess and gave her a curt nod. "See you at the next meeting." She waited until the other goddess left before she turned back to the lovebirds. She gave them one last glare before she disappeared into a puff of smoke. She returned to her Hunters and went on the task of finding a new Duty Hunter.

Hailey's heart jumped up to her chest when Danny sat at her table. She was perfectly capable handling the situation when he was standing up, but she felt even more vulnerable around him when he was at her level. She gulped, forcing her heart back to its proper place as she nodded her head. "Yeah," she said a lot softer than before. "I am doing well with the Hunters... it's... awesome..." Her eyes wandered a bit and remembered how his body was pressed up against hers during... she quickly shook her head trying to get rid of that memory. She was a hunter now. She couldn't have those kinds of memories running through her head. She smiled softly at Danny as she said, "Um..." She glanced down at her plate, trying to find a suitable conversation topic. "The food hasn't changed." Her face heated up a bit. She felt completely stupid that she managed to make this more awkward than it already was.

For a minute, Hailey forgot how to breathe. Danny was here and all those emotions were just flooding back. She bite her lower lip as she tried to control herself from doing anything rash or stupid. "Yeah," she said as she suddenly felt stupid for explaining to her exboyfriend her new lifestyle. "I'm a Hunter now..." She widened her eyes when he slapped himself. Despite however many so months they were together, Hailey didn't quite understand his quirks. He acted like two different people around her and then did these strange things like this slapping himself. She forced him another smile, showing that his presence didn't bother her... much. "Yeah," she said as she nodded her head. I'm a hunter... and loving it." She added that last part quickly. She pressed her lips together and nodded her head quickly, trying to force herself to believe that statement. "So..." she said as she dragged out the word and looked at him. "How have you been lately?"

Hailey's chest tightened up as all those memories of them together. Countless hours just hanging out and kissing and that night when they... She shut her eyes and quickly shook her head, trying to kick every thought like that out of her head. She was a Hunter now and hunters did not need to be thinking about exboyfriends.
Even if they were approaching them at this moment. She felt her chest tighten up as she forced him a smile, even if it was strained. She wasn't completely over him when she left and she rarely gave herself time to completely get over him. "Hey, Danny," she said as she put her fork down, since she completely lost her appetite. "Funny seeing you here. How are you?"

Hailey was only back at camp for a few weeks and it really didn't feel like she left for a year at all. Yes, there was a couple of things that she had to get used to, like going to the Artemis cabin and tables, but everything was almost normal. She didn't have one of those schedules that she had to abide to every day. She got a bit of freedom, but it was mostly keeping an eye on her sister or helping Chiron out with the war.
This was one of the few times she was given a break, so she headed down to the mess hall to grab her lunch. After making an offering to her Lady, she sat down at the Artemis table and started eating her chicken. However, she stopped in mid-bite when she saw someone enter the mess hall. She almost dropped her fork when she saw who it was. Danny was still at camp.

Artemis glared at the other goddess. "Just give up one of my Hunters with no consequences whatsoever?" she spat before she threw another maroon glow at another bed. Another jackalope scattered out of the cabin before she turned back to Aphrodite. "Fine, I'll remove the blessing because of your wishes, but I want something out of it." She turned back to the lovebirds as she glared at Princess. "I will remove my blessing and fire you from your position as my Deputy Hunter. But once every year, you will attacked by a herd of wild deer. And do not think this is easy, because these are my best deer, monsters you can say." Then she snapped her fingers and the silver glow that surrounded Pri disappeared. "I hope you understand the implications of your actions." Then she turned back to the other goddess and glared at her. "Fine. Are we good?"

Artemis smirked to herself as the two lovebirds before her started pleading not be turned into jackalopes. Little did they know that Artemis did not take it easy when her oath was broken? "Well then," she chuckled to herself as the maroon glow on her hand turn an intenser shade. "I guess you two can be lovers in jackalope form."
But then somebody decided to interfere. Aphrodite. Artemis lowered her hand as she glared at the other god. "No," she said coolly. "I do not question your domain, but there's one little problem even if it does fall under your domain." She threw the maroon glow from her hands to the bed behind the two lovebirds. The piece of furniture turned into a jackalope and scurried out of the cabin before anyone could catch it.
"She," she said as she pointed at Princess, "has broken my oath, Aphrodite. She has not turn her back on the company of men and accepted eternal maidenhood. There are consequences to breaking my oath." Her hand glowed maroon again. "And she must be punished for her actions. Along with him, since he has enabled for this to happen."

(For the record, I was asked to play Artemis, so this is not a Hailey post.)
Artemis knew something was up. The goddess had a sense that one of her hunters, her Deputy Hunter none the less, was falling in love. She kept an eye on her as she entered the Ares cabin. And then they kissed and that was the last straw for her. She magically appeared in the cabin in the main room with her arms crossed. She appeared as her younger self, but she still meant business. "It looks like one of my Hunters has broken my oath," she said coldly as she glared at the both of them. She lifted her hand up as it had a strange maroon aura around it. "I guess there will be two more jackalopes added to the population tonight."

bahahahaha we never seem to stray from the awkwardness, do we Jordan? XD. but this could work perfectly since Jacob had that tendency to be mean to girls/break their hearts. it's the age difference I'm a little concerned about (unless you say he recently had a birthday? because that would put about a year's difference between them instead of him being 14 and her 16 when this happened.) Your call, but I can see the awkwardness and fun we can have in this XD

So... This is Hailey. She became a Hunter because she gave her virginity to her boyfriend and then he dumped her immediately right afterwards.
So... I thought it would be fun to have her ex-boyfriend here while she's running around camp keeping an eye on her sister. It could make for some interesting/awkward threads.
So, he's an Ares boy around 17-18. And he's been at camp for over a year. The rest is free game XD

Coming back to camp was one of Hailey's biggest fears, but she couldn't voice them to Artemis. Her lady needed her and that was that. But it felt so weird to her to walk into camp and towards the cabins and not go into the Hephaestus cabin. It felt so wrong, but Hailey needed to forget her past life. She needed to forget about her cabin and him especially. The Artemis cabin was a lot nicer than she expected. She moved over to a single bed and started unpacking. Back in the Hephaestus cabin, she was always on the top bunk with Hannah sleeping below her. However, Hannah usually didn't occupy her bed most nights.
Hailey quickly whipped her head around to glare at her sister at the door. This glare wasn't the most intense like she would give to guys. "Hello, Hannah," she said sternly as she looked at her twin. "Yes, the rumors are true." She turned around as she crossed her arms. She had to act this way in front of her, especially since Lady Artemis wanted Hailey to keep an eye on her. "If you haven't heard, camp's about to go into war. Lady Artemis thought it would be best if some of her best Hunters came here to help you guys out." She looked over Hannah once before a slight smirk formed on her face. "I guess I'm glad to see that you haven't changed that much since I left."

So.... I'm just giving you a heads up with the lack of posting from me this week. My Idaho family is here for my brother's high school graduation (which is Saturday afternoon).
With that being said, I'm going to be gone for most of the days up until then and not posting much (internet just drains my cell battery). However, all of this ends Sunday, so hopefully I'll buckle down and post away (I'm keeping a running tally of all the threads I have, so no worries).
