The nightmares returned.
Daphne thought they had stopped. They stopped during that quest with Marius, but once they returned to camp... they started up again. She didn't want to tell her... boyfriend. Marius was her boyfriend now. After being best friends for so long, it was weird for her to call him her boyfriend. But anyway, she didn't want to worry him. He finally achieved a bit of mental peace after that quest that he deserved to be not bothered by her nightmares.
She woke herself up screaming again as she bolted up in her bed. Her breathing was ragged and she was covered in a cold sweat. He was there again and her dreams seemed to hold onto how his face twisted into that evil smile before he kidnapped her and took her to Nevada only to be possessed by that... that thing. Daphne shook at the thought. It only happened in this cabin in the main room. There was no way she was getting more sleep tonight. At least, not like this. So she changed into her workout clothes and grabbed her sword before heading out to the arena.
Punishing a dummy sounded good at the moment and hopefully would exhaust her that she could fall back asleep. Once she was at the arena, she was whacking at a dummy. She wasn't really focusing on technique or anything. She just needed to wear herself out so she could go back to sleep.

Ashley & Daphne Whelp, you got yourself your first enemy on the site XD. Daphne hates Apollo kids because she was kicked out of her own house because she wasn't one (Zeus tricked her mom... and yea... it's complicated XD). So she completely hates them and usually wants nothing to do with them, which makes staying in the infirmary (where she ends up a lot) quite complicated.
Ashley & Dakota My darling Dakota is a daughter of Aphrodite, but she has a lot of friends in Apollo cabin because she works in the infirmary. She's also a cabin leader, so she has a tendency to take new members underneath her wings and make them feel at home. I don't know how much Ashley would like it, but I can see Dakota becoming a big sister figure to him (or someone who smothers him with attention).
Ashley & Kevin Kevin here will most likely pull a couple of pranks on Ashley to try to get him to loosen up. It wouldn't be anything that would embarrass him, but it would be enough to try to get him to smile or even laugh. Past the pranking, I don't know if these two would end up friends or what.

Daphne was admiring the view that she didn't realize that Marius walked up behind her until his arms wrapped around her from behind. She leaned against his chest as she kept looking out across the skyline. For a moment, all the stresses of the quest and what was still ahead of them seemed to disappear. She glanced over her shoulder to look up at Marius when he started talking. Her face heated up as she catch his grin on his face.
"I... umm..." she muttered as he kissed her shoulder before she turned around his arms. "I... ummm..." She looked up at her boyfriend as her face seemed to get redder with each passing moment. "New York is nice?" she squeaked out.

The only thing that Daphne could really do at that moment was squeeze Nora's hand back and listen to the horrors. Except, she really didn't go into that much detail. Her eyes widened as she nodded her head at the mention of a journal. "It's almost as good as therapy, but we'll keep it safe, okay? I'll make sure it stays safe."
But she heard the desperation in her voice as Nora spoke to her. She tightened her grip on her hand and nodded her head. "I'll promise to do my best to help you... Nora. I have your back. I'll make sure nothing happens to you or that journal of yours. You have my word."

Daphne couldn't help but feel extremely relieved that Jareth was feeling the same way she was feeling about that kiss. She couldn't help but laugh a bit. "I can't believe all those years lead to that. That was so disappointing." She felt herself relaxing as the tension in her shoulders was gone and they dropped slightly.
"How pissed dad is?" She laughed as she threw back her head. "Jareth, dad IS the king of incest after all. Hera is technically his older sister. I guess it runs in the family." She smirked as she got up and brushed herself up. "Jareth, can you promise me something?" she asked as she looked at him and cocked an eyebrow at him. "Can you not say a word to anyone about this? I don't know how Marius will handle it and people really don't need to know the fail." She shrugged her shoulders as she smirked at him. "Well, I really need to unpack, but I'll see you around, okay?" She smiled before she left the room to go to hers.

Daphne was pretty sure that once she got back into her room, she would hide in there forever until she died of embarrassment. Maybe she could convince Marius to let her stay with him until either Jareth moved out of the cabin or she died. Whichever came first. She was so lost in her thoughts and how to get out of this situation that she didn't notice that Jareth gently grabbed her wrist and pulled her down towards him. She barely noticed how close his lips were until they were on hers in a kiss.
Daphne stood there stunned for a few seconds after the kiss ended. She blinked a couple of times before she collapsed on the ground trying to process what happened. She remained silent as her eyes widened a bit and her mouth went into a slight 'O' shape before she gingerly touched her lips with her fingers. All that time imaging what it would be like kissing him and it ended up like that?
"Umm..." Daphne said, breaking the silence, as she lowered her hand away from her face and knitted her eyebrows together. "Let's not do that again..." She looked up at him and gave him a slightly disgusted face. "That was probably the most anticlamatic kiss that I've ever had... hate to break it to ya."

Daphne's face heated up when Jareth caught her staring at him. She managed a weak smile at him and muttered a greeting before she abruptly turned her head back to the screen. She couldn't exactly focus on what was happening on her screen or which buttons she was pressing. She seemed to be pressing the wrong ones, because soon enough, Jareth's army stormed her fortress and took it over.
She muttered a curse underneath her breath as she laid her controlled down in her lap defeated. She glanced over back at Jareth and her face heated up once more. "Umm..." she said as she picked the controller from her lap and put it on the floor next to her. "I should get going..." she muttered as she slowly got up while avoiding his eyes. "I still need to unpack from the quest and stuff..."

Daphne's chest started to tighten as Trell... no, Nora... told her of the nightmares she was having. It hit too close to home for the Zeus child and she could see the tears welling up in her friend's eye. Daphne was hesitant on what to do. She almost reached out to her friend, but paused for a second. She took a deep breath before she placed her hand on top of her friend's. "I understand... I really do, Tr-Nora..." She took a deep breath as she nodded her head.
"Those nightmares... they're scary. You wake up screaming in the dead of night because those horrors come back to get you. But you don't want to tell anyone, because you don't want to scar them too." She nodded her head as she gave her friend a sad smile. "I understand... you've probably heard, but I was possessed by one of Xenos's demons a few years ago... it took months and lots of therapy to get over it... but sometimes I'm not over it... I had a nightmare at the beginning of the quest right after Achilles broke up with me..." She squeezed her friend's hand. "I understand so you can tell me more if you want."

Daphne could slowly feel the awkwardness settle in between them once more. She couldn't help but mentally swear at herself, since she thought they had gotten past that point. Would they ever get past that point? She forced a friendly smile at him as the realization that if she wanted to not do something stupid, she had to distance herself away from Jareth, which hurt her more than anything.
She shook her head as she reached out to take the controller from him. "One more time," she said as she nodded her head before taking a seat on the floor next to him. She focused hard on the screen as their game started up once more. She took a deep breath as she forced herself to focus on her screen, not Jareth or his screen. But with each passing moment, it was getting more and more tempting to sneak a peak before she finally glanced over at him.

Daphne slowly nodded her head as agreed with everything that Desdemona said, but she scrunched her eyebrows a bit when there were words said that she didn't understand. "What is entropy and thermodynamics?" she asked as her racked her memory. Her mother never mentioned those words, so she didn't know what they were. She shook her head after a few moments. "Never mind. It doesn't matter."
"Of course there would have to be pictures," Daphne said with a bit of a smirk. "Pics or it didn't happen. We need to post them around camp so everyone knows what we did to him." She laughed a bit as she shook her head. "You might want to throw some color in it too. Maybe some red so the Ares campers attack him. They act like bulls anyway, so they'll probably attack him if he's dressed in red.

Daphne laughed as she shook her head as she tried to ignore the comment he almost made earlier. "If being the favorite means that you get zapped, then by all means, go ahead and be the favorite." She smirked a bit as she pulled both of her hands away from him. "I mean, it's probably not good at all that you get zapped that often, so I actually have a chance of survival if I'm not the favorite."
But that awkward moment came between the two of them as she felt herself blush slightly. After talking it out, Daphne felt a little less conflicted about the situation, but the past was still there. "I don't know," she said with a bit of a shrug before nodding towards the TV and game system. "We can still play if you want to. I promise I'll try not to cheat."

"Overgrown children?" Daphne rolled her eyes with a smirk. "My dad can't keep it in his pants most of the time until they signed that pact... and even then he still can't keep it in his pants. If that doesn't make him an overgrown child or at least a horny teenager, then I don't know what does." She sighed as she shook her head. "That's kind of sad that the children have to be more mature than their parents. I think that's what is driving the Usurpers to do what they're doing."
"A pink Barbie doll?" Daphne laughed as the image formed in her brain. "Wouldn't that be kind of an insult to the Aphrodite cabin? But maybe some sort of doll... I think he would wonderful in a frilly dress, don't you?"

"I don't know either," Daphne said with a slight shrug as she looked up at the ceiling right where the lightning bolt came from earlier. Then again, he does have a historical reputation of not keeping it in his pants. So he could have just wanted her because he could." She paused for a few seconds to make sure she wouldn't get hit by lightning as well, but nothing happened.
"I guess dad does have favorites," she said with a bit of a smirk as she glanced over at Jareth. She reached over to pat out a path of smoke that was still coming from his shirt sleeve. "Probably quite a few lightning bolts," she said with a bit of a chuckle as she let go of hand before cocking an eyebrow at him. "Unless you already have a tally of how many times he's hit you?"

Daphne pressed her lips together as she glance in the direction the Gray sisters were going. She took a deep breath as she put that little piece of advice in the back of mind to think on it later. "There's a lot of decent hotels around here. As long as we don't anything shady looking, we should be fine." She shrugged a bit. "It would be as nice as a five star hotel, but I doubt they give quest discounts there."
She sighed as she pointed down one of the streets. "That way looks pretty decent for hotels. I bet we can get some good rates too." She looked at her companion and smiled before she started leading the way.
It wasn't long before they found a decent hotel and got checked into a room on one of the top floors. "Look at that view," Daphne said as soon as she entered the room. She dropped her back on a chair before she moved to window to admire the skyline.
