Gone Away (Quest Thread Thingy)

"I don't know what they meant about a base, but I don't think we can afford to worry about it at the moment." Marius said was a shrug and a questioning look towards where the gray sisters drove off too. "Yeah, a place to stay the night sounds good." He said with a smile as he turned back towards Daphne and offered her his hand. "I don't know this town at all. Do you know of any good places to stay at?" The son of Hermes asked her as he looked around. "Or are we gonna have to ask the locals?"

Marius was looking around for a few moments before turning his attention back towards his companion. His mind wandering as he watched her and waited for her answers. His own thoughts not really helping him solve their immediate problems. "You know, I wonder what is taking you so long to find this cure." The joker taunted him in his own head.

[Daphne Scotts]

Daphne pressed her lips together as she glance in the direction the Gray sisters were going. She took a deep breath as she put that little piece of advice in the back of mind to think on it later. "There's a lot of decent hotels around here. As long as we don't anything shady looking, we should be fine." She shrugged a bit. "It would be as nice as a five star hotel, but I doubt they give quest discounts there."

She sighed as she pointed down one of the streets. "That way looks pretty decent for hotels. I bet we can get some good rates too." She looked at her companion and smiled before she started leading the way.

It wasn't long before they found a decent hotel and got checked into a room on one of the top floors. "Look at that view," Daphne said as soon as she entered the room. She dropped her back on a chair before she moved to window to admire the skyline.

Marius walked up behind Daphne and dropped his pack on the floor gently as he passed the bed. His arms moving to wrap around her waist and pull her back against his chest. A smile on his face as he held her. "Yeah, it's pretty great." He said to her as he glanced out the window before looking down at her from over her shoulder. An impish grin on his face as he looked her over, waiting to see if she caught his meaning. "It's a very good view." The son of Hermes leaned down to kiss at her shoulder, chuckling softly as he did.

Daphne was admiring the view that she didn't realize that Marius walked up behind her until his arms wrapped around her from behind. She leaned against his chest as she kept looking out across the skyline. For a moment, all the stresses of the quest and what was still ahead of them seemed to disappear. She glanced over her shoulder to look up at Marius when he started talking. Her face heated up as she catch his grin on his face.

"I... umm..." she muttered as he kissed her shoulder before she turned around his arms. "I... ummm..." She looked up at her boyfriend as her face seemed to get redder with each passing moment. "New York is nice?" she squeaked out.
