The fact that she was so taken back by the fact he had never kissed anyone made Jay slightly anxious, he had always been concerned about what people would think when they found out he was a virgin or that he had never kissed a girl or even held hands. That was until he met the teary eyed girl in front of him that is. She had been the first girl to show any real attention to him and that was great. Once she took his hand he helped to lift her up to her feet gently, keeping hold of her hand as she got up. He held her hand down in between them both by their side, ”Yes… that was my first…Why?” Jay asked her, looking into her teary eyes as he bit his bottom lip. Did that mean it was a bad kiss? Did she not actually want to even kiss him and felt bad for taking the first kiss for something she didn’t even want? Jay couldn’t deny that this kiss wasn’t what he had wanted to happen since the day he met her, so he would just feel bad if Tabs only kissed him out of ‘the moment spur’.

Jay watched the tears fall down her soft cheeks as he edged a bit closer to her, swaying forwards before lifting his hand up and wiping the tears with his thumb before dropping his hand back. He decided to wait for her to say the first words as he wanted to know what she was thinking. He wanted to make sure she would be okay and that these tears were tears of happiness because that’s all he wanted for her, happiness. She was probably his closest friend and if nothing came from this kiss, he’d be okay with that. As long as she was. Kiss her again? Those words were like pure gold in his ears and he didn’t even hesitate to process them before he let go off her hand, placing his palm on her cheek along her jaw bone as he leant down quickly and pressed his lips against hers. He used his thumb to gently wipe off any of the tears that dampened her cheek as he kept his eyes closed and lips against hers.

As the girl continued to seem to be getting more and more anxious Jay took a glance around, not focusing his attention on her for a little while before glancing back, the smile on her lips reassuring him. The girl was sweet and he didn’t want to upset her in any way or make her feel anxious to talk to him because he really was an easy going guy, he didn’t care what someone looked like as long as they were fun to talk to he’d be fine with them and this girl was fun. He was glad that he made her relax slightly however and it reassured him to continue the conversation.

Flying a Pegasus? Hell no. He’d be fine to ride a horse but a horse that has big ass wings and could decide to randomly take lift off at any time was a ticking time bomb for Jay and he wouldn’t trust the Pegasus. ”Hell no, I think I’ll stick to regular horses. The ones that can’t just randomly decide to go ‘fuck this’ and take off into the sky with me hanging on for life.” He said as he shook his head with a very small laugh, there was no way he’d get on a Pegasus.

This girl definitely was sweet and it made him wonder how sweet girls like she could end up somewhere like this. He was curious of his backstory but didn’t want to ask so ignored his thoughts. ”I’m glad to hear.” The giggle that escaped the blonde girl’s lips was adorable and Jay couldn’t help let out a small laugh to accompany hers. Jay liked giggles because they always caught him off guard because they were always from unexpected people, except he actually expected this girl to be a giggler. He could see himself laughing with her on many occasions. ”Nice giggle, Blondie.”

Another laugh escaped his lips and he replied with a shrug as he waved his hand, dismissing his drawing. ”Trees are hard okay, they’ve got all those branches and stuff.” Jay replied with a grin, shaking his head playfully at her tease. It was true that the Apollo cabin was artistically talented but Jay liked to think he was talented in other ways. ”Whoa, potatoes are pretty talented. You think you’re on that level.” Jay teased back to her; she teased him earlier so it was only fair to return the teasing. Right? From what he saw the drawing wasn’t even bad, it was a tonne better than Jay’s tree which looked like it was deformed so either way, she was better than him.

Jay raised his eyebrow slightly as the boy suddenly just assumed he’d get a weapon, he thought the original agreement was just for Jay to tell Chiron how he did today in the little training spar. Kids. ”Don’t get your hopes up kiddo.” He mumbled as he stood up straight and went back to the dummy he originally had been training on and begun to strike it, training his abilities up a bit more so that he felt ready to even use his spear in a battle. If Chiron didn’t listen to Jay and decided not to give Lucas a weapon, Jay would be the most hated person in the cabin as the breakdown he’d have to deal with from Lucas would be crazy.

Seriously? Of all the places the kid decided to start screaming in the middle of the training grounds. Jay didn’t sign up for any of this and he definitely didn’t want it to continue any longer than it already had done. The screams hurt his ears and he was getting stares from the other campers that he also didn’t want. He looked down at the little terror and raised his eyebrow, ”Yes I promise.” Jay let out, he’d practically say anything to not have the kid screaming again. Pinky promse, great now Jay had to tell Chiron. He let out a sigh before taking a look around and then nodding, wrapping his pinky finger round Lucas’ and shaking gently. ”Pinky promise.”

Jay narrowed his eyes a little as Lucas began to throw one of his famous tantrums. It was going so well up until now and Jay began to wonder why he began talking to the youngster. ”You’ll get one, don’t worry.” Jay replied to the young terror in front of him. He didn’t say when he was going to get a ‘big boy weapon’ as he honestly didn’t know. Other cabin mates would have been a better person to ask since Jay himself hadn’t been in the camp too long. ”Like I said, I’ll let Chiron know how you did today.” Hopefully reminding him about this would help Jay have something to keep Lucas in line, for at least a few minutes. If he threw too much of a strop Jay wasn’t ever going to tell Chiron about this as a young terror with an actual weapon would be a deadly combo.

Jay looked at the spear to his right and then back to Lucas. Lucas did have a point; he was armed technically but not this moment in time so instead Jay gave him a shrug. ”Just life tips. But I surrendered, you had already won.” Jay replied to him with a small smile, he didn’t actually know what else to say for once which was a surprise because he always had some sort of reply to something.

”He doesn’t have to say yes, Lucas.” Jay replied through a laugh as he rolled his eyes playfully at the kid’s exaggeration. The cabin definitely wouldn’t hear the end of this if he didn’t get a weapon or at least praise but Jay would deal with that then. ”Only if you prove to him that you’re responsible enough to use one, you can hurt people with a real one so you’ll need to be safe.”
