The girl’s little giggle was sweet and definitely what Jay was expecting to come from the girl, the laugh suited the girl for sure. Jay was happy that he had made her laugh as without his jokes, Jay wasn’t too sure on what he could actually rely on when talking to people. If he wanted a decent conversation he would usually begin throwing in some puns here and there so that he could get a bit of a laugh and also suss out the other person’s sense of humour. This girl’s humour seemed like it was quite easy to suss, not too picky on jokes and enjoying the simple things. Good because Jay was far from a stand-up comedian. Although sometimes he did spend his pass time thinking of funny jokes and then writing them down for future use. Also since the girl had laughed, it meant that he didn’t have to worry about getting hit or being told to go away, that would have been awkward.

A pun, returned by a pun. Jay couldn’t help but widen his eyes and slightly drop his jaw. ”Damn, that was a good one.” He replied to the girl with a smile, running a hand through his hair and brushing his hair up a bit. Jay looked over his shoulder at his drawing for a couple seconds before looking back at the blonde girl, ”Hmm… Nah I think we should leaf my career as an artist there. I’d end up making myself look like a plank, then we’d really be stumped.” He continued on with a grin, an eyebrow raised as he leant back on a nearby table slightly. No one would beat Jay when it came to puns, he was just that guy who always had something funny but stupid to say and if this girl wanted to continue the puns. It’d be war. Pun war.

Jay looked up to Lucas from the ground as Lucas seemed to pout. He shifted his position a bit so that he was sitting down rather than laying back, his spear lying by his side. ”Sometimes mercy is a good thing, if you kill every single animal, what makes you different from the sith?” Jay asked the young jedi with an eyebrow raised, glancing over Lucas’ shoulder slightly at the rest of the Apollo cabin members training away.

”You did good, I’ll put in a good word to Chiron next time I see him to let him know that you may be ready to handle real weapons, like the rest of us.” Jay continued on to the young boy as he rose up into a standing position and brushed off the dust that had appeared down his back. ”Since you defeated me and everything.” He decided to add on with a grin before picking up his spear, giving Lucas a friendly wink.

He received a ‘hmm’ from the boy which made Jay raise his eyebrow. Was this guy that out of it that he couldn’t speak as well? Either way it was amusing so Jay let out a small laugh at the reply. Maybe that ‘hmm’ meant it really was a rough day that had drained his ability to speak completely. There could have even been a Greek god that if you were their child, it meant you couldn’t speak properly, after all Jay didn’t know much about the gods.

The boy quickly spoke afterwards - Jay replied with a nod, the boy had clarified for him that in fact there most likely wasn’t a god that meant you couldn’t speak. Just a dumb thought of Jay’s. ”It seems like it was.” He replied as he decided to take a mouthful of his food, before chewing and swallowing. His smile never left his face as he conversed with the boy. ”Did you have training or something?”

Jay rolled his eyes at Lucas’ comment about using his brain, that comment was probably Jay’s fault. He should have worded it more suitable for a little kid. ”Okay then, good keep it up.” For once he didn’t actually know what to say something so he just went with the closest thing to encouragement he could give out. After all he was the bad guy in this battle and bad guys don’t help good guys.

Once Lucas jumped out of his spear’s reach, Jay shot him a nod as if to say that he had done good. He managed to keep his balance and he didn’t fall even after a couple of jabs. Jay was expecting him to at least have to put a hand on the floor but nothing. Impressive. ”You’ll never get me!” He called back in return as if he was about to make a run for it, and he decided to do just that. Turning round and taking a quick step, Jay purposefully stood on his own foot to give him an excuse to fall down. He let go of his spear and rolled onto his back, ”I surrender!” Holding his hands out to Lucas to stop the ‘onslaught’.

It had been a long time since Jay was able to be in the cabin on his own without at least Lucas being somewhere around but today Jay had managed to get out of training by saying he would tidy up the cabin. He had already tidied most of the inside but decided he needed a break from being inside and with all the mess he cleared up, he was quite exhausted. Jay got up from his bunk, which he had only just finished making, and went out the front door – jumping down the couple steps. It was winter but somehow it still seemed to be a pretty good day. Jay took in a breath of fresh air and went round the left side of the cabin, sitting down against the wooden wall of the cabin and being hidden in the shadow the cabin had casted.

He was hoping to see Tabitha today because he had grown quite a liking to the pretty ninja girl he met that one time at the climbing wall. She was fun and Jay liked someone who could hold their own when he threw a bit of banter there way and wasn’t easily upset. Besides, they have fun when they’re together and it was good that he had someone he was close to in the camp. Someone that wasn’t one of his siblings. In Jay’s opinion, Tabitha would have fitted in just fine with his friend group back at school so their friendship was a done deal.

As he was deep into relaxation world, Jay was brought back to reality as he heard a knocking noise, followed by a voice he knew all too well. The one person who could have made this moment better had come and answered his prayers. Jay leant to the side, looking up at the top step towards the cabin and saw her there. Tabitha. A smirk grew on his face as he leant back into the shade and took a glance around. ”Hmm…” He said to himself as he stood up quietly, trying to think of clever ways to make her jump and not end with him having a bloody nose. ”Perfect.” He whispered to himself as he found what he was going to do.

Jay kept out of sight and use the oncoming crowd of campers to disguise himself long enough to be behind Tabitha and out of her sight. As they got opposite the cabin’s door Jay split off from them, quickly but quietly approaching Tabitha. When he got to the top step, right up close behind her he wrapped his left arm round her waist lightly, placing his right hand slightly over her eyes, enough so that it wouldn’t panic her too much but enough to cover it. ”Munchkin?...” He said with a smirk, ”But yes I am home. What’s up beautiful?” Jay quickly continued on, his head to the left of Tabitha’s and a cheeky grin plastering his face.

Jay was on his way home from having a nice little time on his own in the vicinity of the beach. Of course it made no sense being at the beach when it’s quite far into winter but Jay was a guy who didn’t need to make sense. He did what was fun for the amount of time its fun and the beach seemed fun when he woke up in the morning.

When he made it back to the cabin, he raised an eyebrow due to the sound of an instrument being played inside of the cabin. He thought most of his cabin members were out ad about but apparently someone had stayed in. Jay opened the door slowly and noticed one of his blonde hair siblings sitting on the bed playing what looked like a violin. Quietly stepping in a bit more and closing the door quietly, he smiled as he sat on the edge of the nearest bunk. He didn’t want to interrupt the girl playing her tune so decided to let her continue.
